Chapter 1229

Su Xiao suddenly vanished before Goss. Goss's feeling at this moment could no longer be described as just his hair standing on end.

The Dragon Shadow Flash ability activated. Su Xiao pierced through space and appeared behind Goss. He didn't use the long blade in his hand, as that would kill Goss, and the guy couldn't die yet.

Su Xiao assumed a standard side-kick posture and kicked toward Goss's lower back. This was an angle Su Xiao had specifically sought out; if Goss were hit by this kick, he would be kicked directly toward the Longblade User·Kong, and the rest would be simple.

Su Xiao's plan was perfect, but the results can sometimes be unexpected—just like now.

Just as Su Xiao assumed the side-kick posture, Goss suddenly lunged forward. Seeing Goss's lunging motion, even Su Xiao's mouth twitched—this kick seemed about to turn into a low blow.

Bang!

Su Xiao kicked Goss. Because Goss was in a lunging posture, Su Xiao's heavy side kick struck him directly in the crotch.

Su Xiao kicked off some of Goss's attachments, and Goss shot forward with a whoosh.

Not to mention Goss himself, even the Longblade User·Kong, after witnessing this side kick, had its stiff cheeks twitching uncontrollably. It would rather take a dozen slashes from Su Xiao than take this kick.

"Awoo!!"

A strange, miserable howl reached everyone's ears. Su Xiao hadn't intentionally kicked Goss's crotch; it was because the guy had lunged forward on his own, otherwise the kick would have only hit his waist.

According to Su Xiao's original plan, after kicking Goss away, the guy would at most suffer minor injuries, after which he would engage the Longblade User·Kong in battle, thereby stalling it.

But judging by the current situation, whether Goss could even stand up was a question.

The Longblade User·Kong looked at the incoming Goss. Although it sympathized with his plight, that didn't mean it would show mercy. It swung its horse-slaying blade down at Goss.

Although Goss was in so much pain he nearly fainted, he had been able to block Su Xiao head-on, which meant he possessed considerable combat power.

Goss, his face twisted in pain, gripped his knight sword. His Stamina attribute was not low, and although the pain in his lower body nearly drove him mad, it wouldn't completely strip him of his combat ability.

Su Xiao stopped paying attention to Goss, who was now entangled with the Longblade User·Kong. He grabbed the stunned Alisa and signaled Xiang Ignoring Bubu Wang and Amu to wait for the right moment.

A large group of Necromancer soldiers rushed into the open space. Their target wasn't Su Xiao and the others, but to support the Longblade User·Kong.

Realizing this, Su Xiao's group rushed toward the stone corridor they had come from. That was the best defensive line. The Longblade User·Kong was already heavily injured; even with the support of a large number of Necromancer soldiers, it wouldn't be able to stir up any trouble.

Su Xiao and the others retreated into the stone corridor, which was easy to defend and hard to attack.

Su Xiao's group successfully retreated from the danger zone, while Goss was surrounded by the large group of Necromancer soldiers, playing his final role.

Before entering the mausoleum, Su Xiao had already prepared to kill Goss. If the guy had been willing to cooperate in the battle, he wouldn't have acted so quickly, or rather, if Goss had truly been willing to contribute, Su Xiao wouldn't have had to kill him. But Goss had clearly tried to pit Xiang Ignoring Bubu Wang and Amu against the soldiers, so Su Xiao had struck first.

The crisp sounds of weapons colliding rang out one after another. Goss was surrounded by dozens of Necromancer shield infantry, with a circle of spearmen on the outside. These spearmen and shield infantry coordinated exceptionally well; they only attacked Goss through the gaps in the shields, and Goss couldn't do anything about them.

The Longblade User·Kong was finally able to catch its breath. Green light flickered in its eyes, and a green magic circle five meters in diameter appeared in front of it.

The magic circle was activated, and a tall Necromancer horse rushed out from within. The horse was clad in armor, its entire body covered in pitch-black hair.

"Hiss~"

The Necromancer horse raised its front hooves, let out a whinny, and green flames roared to life on its body.

The Longblade User·Kong leaped onto the horse's back, and the green flames from the horse spread to it.

"Roar!!"

The Longblade User·Kong roared, and the horse-slaying blade in its hand turned into a blade of fire. Just then, Su Xiao received a notification.

【Notification: The Longblade User·Kong has fully revived. After killing the Longblade User·Kong in its fully revived state, you will obtain the Ghost Flame. The Ghost Flame can open the Heaven-Shaking Hall.】

Su Xiao's brow twitched. The Longblade User·Kong's full revival wasn't an accident, but a necessity. If Su Xiao had killed the Longblade User·Kong earlier, it would have been very difficult for him to continue deep into the mausoleum. The green flames on its body were essential for going deeper.

Mounted on the warhorse, the Longblade User·Kong's aura surged, and all its abilities were enhanced. But what was sad was that in a one-on-one fight, it would still be pinned against the wall and hammered by Su Xiao—this time, along with its warhorse.

The Longblade User·Kong glanced at Su Xiao in the distance, then turned its gaze toward Goss, who was being besieged. Clearly, by comparison, Goss was the soft persimmon. It decided to deal with Goss first. Without the Necromancer soldiers, the Longblade User·Kong wasn't that strong. As for teaming up with Goss, that was impossible. In the Longblade User·Kong's view, all humans who stepped into the sanctuary had to die.

The Longblade User·Kong squeezed its legs, and the warhorse rushed toward Goss. The Necromancer soldiers along the way immediately made way.

As the warhorse charged, the green flames on the horse-slaying blade in its hand grew more intense. In the end, the blade had transformed into a fire blade.

The warhorse reached Goss. Goss was dealing with the surrounding Necromancer soldiers, and facing the charging Longblade User·Kong, he was struggling to cope.

The Necromancer horse raised its front hooves. The Longblade User·Kong on its back held the horse-slaying blade high. As the warhorse's body descended, the charged slash struck down at Goss.

Boom!

Goss's legs sank into the ground. Green flames surged, and large cracks appeared on the knight sword in his hand. Blood dripped down his chin, and a charred smell emanated from his body.

Goss's eyes were blood-red. The Holy Power within him surged, all of it clinging to his knight sword.

Hum~

The knight sword in Goss's hand extended a bit, and the entire sword turned gold. He slashed at a shield beside him. The shield, which could have withstood at least three of his strikes, was actually pierced through by his sword, killing the Necromancer soldier behind it.

At this moment, Goss was like he'd been injected with adrenaline. In just three seconds, over a dozen Necromancer soldiers around him were slaughtered, and a small piece of the Necromancer warhorse's skull was even slashed off.

Goss was fighting a desperate battle, while Su Xiao's side was a different scene. Su Xiao was leaning against the wall smoking, while Xiang Ignoring Bubu Wang had taken out a cola and popcorn set, watching the battle with great interest.

Goss was playing his final role—even if he didn't want to, he had no choice. He was currently being besieged by the Necromancer soldiers and the Longblade User·Kong. After dealing with Goss, these Necromancers' target would be Su Xiao and the others.

About five minutes later, Goss, standing on a pile of corpses, gasped for breath. He had forgotten how many Necromancer soldiers he had killed, but he knew he couldn't hold on much longer.

"Failed."

Goss gave a miserable laugh. His original plan had been to sell out Xiang Ignoring Bubu Wang and Amu; after the Necromancer soldiers rushed in, he would take the opportunity to rush out of the mausoleum. As for protecting the little princess, Goss didn't care anymore.

In Goss's heart, Alisa Herbert had previously been a very "holy" existence (item), but now, her holiness had clearly been desecrated by someone, so Goss's twisted desire to protect her had significantly diminished.

Things went contrary to his wishes. Just as Goss wanted to implement his plan, Su Xiao abandoned the heavily injured Longblade User·Kong and rushed directly at him, which led to Goss's current predicament.

With a thud, Goss fell onto the pile of corpses. The Longblade User·Kong rode up, and its horse-slaying blade severed Goss's neck, his head rolling away.

"Well then, it's our turn."

Su Xiao, who had been waiting for five minutes, tossed away the fruit pit in his hand. Xiang Ignoring Bubu Wang and Amu continued to guard the stone corridor to prevent any follow-up Necromancer soldier reinforcements.

The Longblade User·Kong, which had been so majestic before, now looked rather miserable. Not only was one of its eyes blinded, but only a dozen Necromancer soldiers remained by its side. Goss actually hadn't wanted to kill these Necromancer soldiers, but there was simply no possibility of peace between the two sides.

Su Xiao stepped on the ground and rushed straight toward the Longblade User·Kong.

Three minutes later.

With a thud, a massive horse head fell to the ground, the cut clean. Beside the Necromancer horse's corpse was another corpse slashed into four pieces.

"Tenacious vitality."

Su Xiao's Zhan Long Shan pierced through the Longblade User·Kong's skull. Its body below the chest had already vanished, its four-meter height forcibly reduced to about one meter.

Su Xiao flicked his long blade, and the upper half of the Longblade User·Kong's corpse was tossed to the ground, green flames burning fiercely. Facts proved that even after "transforming," the Longblade User·Kong was no match for Su Xiao.
