Chapter 2747: Buff/Debuff

The battlefield gradually calmed down. Due to the incident at the Ancient Tree Fortress, the battle just now had evolved from a siege into a plains battle.

Although they were beaten badly, the troops of Elf Elder Ruth were not completely wiped out. With 100,000 Morning Glow Warriors as the main force, plus over 50,000 Elf Archers, Ruth led these 150,000 troops to break out of the encirclement.

Even so, 450,000 of the Elf race's great army were left behind forever. In the history of the Elf race, this was the most painful battle, and the reason was that the enemy had lost fewer than 10,000 men.

That's right, this battle was fought in a way that made people unable to believe it. The total casualties of the Wolf Cavalry were 9,785. It wasn't that the Elf race was weak, but they were caught in a pincer and beaten—it was miserable.

In the battle just now, the Elf race was surrounded by the charges of the Wolf Cavalry Legion, and in the center was the frenzied Ancient Tree Fortress; they were completely unable to form a defensive formation.

That wasn't all. High above, the Demon Flame Dragon Batos was spewing dragon fire. The most comical scene was that while Batos was spewing dragon fire, it incidentally "enchanted" the Ancient Tree Fortress.

The surface of the tree roots of the Ancient Tree Fortress, each as thick as a water barrel and fully a hundred meters long, was ignited by the flames. After gaining "Flame Enchantment," the Ancient Tree Fortress whipped the Elf warriors until they howled in misery.

The enemies actually solved by the Wolf Cavalry were fewer than 100,000. The rest were either heavily injured by the Ancient Tree Fortress and then conveniently finished off by the Wolf Cavalry, or simply whipped to death by the Ancient Tree Fortress.

Previously, Ruth had led 150,000 Elf warriors to break out of the encirclement. Su Xiao certainly wouldn't let them go. He had just dispatched 200,000 Wolf Cavalry to pursue them. Now that the battle at the Ancient Tree Fortress was over, he left behind 50,000 Wolf Cavalry and sent all the others to pursue.

The Demon Flame Dragon Batos flew into the high sky. On the dragon's back, Xiang Ignoring Bubu Wang sat crouched beside Su Xiao's leg. In capturing the Ancient Tree Fortress, Xiang Ignoring Bubu Wang was absolutely the MVP of this battle.

The sound of the wind whistled past his ears. Ten minutes later, Su Xiao looked down and saw the Wolf Cavalry engaging with a force of 30,000 Morning Glow Warriors. This enemy unit was covering the retreat of the main force.

The enemy troops below, stretched out in a long line, could indeed block the pursuit of the Wolf Cavalry, but this was no different from going to their deaths. From this level of discipline, it could be seen that the Elf race's Morning Glow troops were not to be underestimated.

A total of 420,000 Wolf Cavalry were in pursuit, divided into front and rear groups. The front group had already been blocked by the Morning Glow troops. Although they couldn't hold for long, they bought time for Ruth, allowing the other party to take the opportunity to lead the main force in retreat.

Su Xiao only watched for a few seconds before letting Batos continue flying forward to pursue the main force led by Ruth.

Ten kilometers ahead, about a hundred thousand Elf warriors were sprinting across the plains. They gradually dispersed, each group numbering around ten thousand. As for which group Ruth was in, it wasn't easy to find; the secret mark Su Xiao had left on Ruth had been cleared by someone, he didn't know who.

A few minutes later, these Elf soldiers were completely dispersed. Although they were dispersed, their goal was clear: the Aier Great Forest. Only by escaping back there could they be considered safe.

"Roar."

A dragon roar came from above. Hearing this dragon roar, the tens of thousands of Morning Glow Warriors sprinting on the plains stopped. They all unslung the powerful bows from their backs. It had to be admitted that Batos could not withstand a volley of this scale.

Last time at the Moonlight Fortress, it had experienced the volley of the Morning Glow Warriors and was almost killed on the spot.

As for the bows and arrows of ordinary Elf warriors, Batos didn't care much; its dragon skin was very thick, it only feared the powerful bows of the Morning Glow Warriors.

"Do not fear! For Lord Ruth, we cannot flee!"

A Morning Glow Warrior shouted. He looked at the black dragon in the sky; it was flying too high, not yet within his range.

Just at this moment, the Wolf Cavalry charged from afar. Nearly 100,000 Wolf Cavalry, like a torrent, engulfed this unit of ten thousand Morning Glow Warriors.

Su Xiao controlled the Demon Flame Dragon Batos, using the aerial advantage to chase and kill three more enemy units, but still didn't find Ruth.

A few minutes later, Su Xiao caught up with the fourth enemy unit. Without needing to sense carefully, he discovered Ruth was among these Morning Glow Warriors.

Amidst the chaotic sound of running, Ruth had already changed into the armor of a Morning Glow Warrior, mixing in with the many Morning Glow Warriors.

"All troops, stop marching."

Ruth's order was issued. Ten seconds later, this unit of 12,000 Morning Glow Warriors stopped.

Boom—the Demon Flame Dragon Batos landed. Once it landed, it no longer feared the powerful bows of the Morning Glow Warriors, and Su Xiao was on its back.

"Kukulin Bai Ye, our Elf Queen has come to rescue me."

After Ruth said this, he let out a long sigh. His crushing defeat this time—up until now, he still hadn't figured out what had happened. The black liquid he had seen earlier, or perhaps it was blood, had an erosive power that was unimaginably strong.

The sound of running came from behind Su Xiao. 420,000 Wolf Cavalry were joining up one after another; the remaining 50,000 were over at the Ancient Tree Fortress.

The reason Su Xiao didn't order the entire army to charge was because the enemy's main force had also arrived.

Rumbling...

A force of several hundred thousand Elf troops marched over with steady steps. After stopping, they stood in several square formations, each formation commanded by an Elf Elder.

The two armies confronted each other. Su Xiao stood beneath the Demon Flame Dragon Batos, and further back were the Wolf Cavalry with fierce gazes; ordinary people would have their legs tremble just by taking one look.

And a hundred meters away on the opposite side were several hundred thousand Elf warriors standing in square formations. Their armor was exquisite, their weapons gleaming with cold light. Between the many square formations was a passage over ten meters wide, leading to the rear.

A deer, entirely snow-white, handsome in appearance, and large in size, walked over from the passage between the square formations.

On the back of this deer was a female Elf wearing a white gauze dress, her head full of long golden hair. Her appearance was gentle yet revealed a sense of dignity; the Elf Queen had arrived.

A white light tinged with gold spread to the surroundings. Seeing this white light, the gazes of the Wolf Cavalry became somewhat dull, and the ferocity on their faces gradually faded. Among them, some wanted to lie on the ground and sleep, others wanted to find a plot of land to grow vegetables; their fighting spirit was gone.

Boom—blood energy spread out. The Wolf Cavalry who had been influenced by the Elf Queen's aura were startled, and their consciousness returned to normal.

"Great Overlord from the Chaos Legion, it is not only war that can resolve the contradictions between you and me. Continuing to declare war on the Elf race will only result in both sides suffering; Duoyin is even more powerful than us."

The Elf Queen's expression was gentle, and in her words, there was a unique charm.
