Chapter 87: Catering to Preferences

At parting, Lu Fan tentatively said, "Secretary-General, I am now serving as the secretary for County Party Secretary Gao Yuanfei. When I came, I asked for leave from him, and Secretary Gao asked me to send his greetings to you and said he wanted to visit you."

Han Guishan laughed, "You tell Secretary Gao, set a time, I will invite him to dinner. When you were promoted last time, Gao Yuanfei specifically called me. Regardless of his purpose, this favor must be accepted!"

If Han Guishan didn't say it, Lu Fan really didn't know that there was this inside story for his promotion. He said from the bottom of his heart, "Secretary-General, I didn't know that you helped me so much behind my back for my small matter. I really have nothing to repay! Thank you for your care, help, and cultivation for me all along. For any matter, as long as you say a word, I will definitely go all out!"

A small Deputy Director of the County Committee Office naturally couldn't enter Han Guishan's eyes, but Lu Fan was young and had origins with him. Han Guishan didn't mind helping out now. Who knows about the future? Don't bully the white-bearded man, don't bully the poor young man. He naturally understood this truth.

"Little Fan, a piece of advice for you. Since you are Gao Yuanfei's secretary, this is an opportunity. You must grasp this rare opportunity and strive to become his intimate person. You must know that the County Party Secretary plays the role of a bridge and link connecting the central, provincial, municipal, and local levels. The foothold of all work is the county and district, so the County Party Secretary can contact leaders at all levels, and the power and energy cannot be underestimated."

"Secretary-General, I will keep your golden words in mind!"

"Gao Yuanfei wants to contact Governor Gao Yixing through me. This is very normal. Those below want to get care from above, and why don't those above need support from below?

If there is a request, there must be a payment. So you can be promoted by him without a sound, so you have an intersection with him. How to make good use of this intersection and turn Gao Yuanfei into your political resource depends on your understanding, but I think sincerity is always the killer move. You are his secretary, you must serve him wholeheartedly, maintain him everywhere, consider him in everything, and see people over time!"

"Thank you, Secretary-General, for your advice!"

Han Guishan laughed, "You are good brothers with Xinpu, in the future, like him, call me Uncle!"

After one o'clock in the evening, Lu Fan and Du Longwen rushed back to Ningyang.

After going to work the next day, Lu Fan cleaned up and sent documents as usual.

After Gao Yuanfei arrived at the unit, he asked curiously, "Came back overnight?"

"Yes, Secretary Gao, I came back after the matter was finished. You can't be without people here."

Gao Yuanfei smiled and didn't say anything.

After a while, the Judicial Bureau Director came to Lu Fan's office to report work to the Secretary. Lu Fan received him enthusiastically and specially took out good tea from the cabinet to entertain him.

The Bureau Director was flattered. He hadn't received such courtesy in the County Committee Office. The Deputy Director of the County Committee Office was no worse than his Judicial Bureau Director.

"Director Lu, Chenpi Pu'er, fragrant and sweet, soothing the liver and moistening the lungs, good tea! I have collected some Tibetan tea, I will bring it to you to taste next time!"

Lu Fan laughed, "Just this little hobby, then I will wait with eyes wide open! Director Liu, what big move is the Judicial Bureau going to make again?"

"What big move can we have? A small matter, want to ask the Secretary for instructions. There is a young man in the unit who wants to go to the Municipal Bureau, and there happens to be an opportunity, so I want to ask the Secretary to see if the county will let him go."

"Is the Municipal Bureau settled? Don't let the Secretary agree, and then the matter turns yellow again."

"Almost, the person in charge of organization and personnel in the Municipal Bureau is from our Ningyang. I communicated with him, and it is no problem to give us a quota."

"Being able to push Ningyang's cadres to the city is still Director Liu's ability. This is a great good thing, the Secretary will definitely support it. What is this young man's name? We will have our own people in the Municipal Bureau in the future. When handling things, at least we can have a sip of water, right?"

Director Liu laughed, "His name is Zeng Ming, and he also has a good opportunity. It happens that the Municipal Bureau is recruiting five cadres from each county and district, mainly because the Municipal Bureau is seriously short of people and no one is working."

After a while, the Political and Legal Committee Secretary came out. Lu Fan took the Judicial Bureau Director into the Secretary's office and helped him, "Secretary, Director Liu is transporting talent to the city!"

Gao Yuanfei laughed, "The Municipal Judicial Bureau wants people?"

Director Liu hurriedly reported, "Secretary, this time the Municipal Bureau is recruiting five cadres from each county and district. I tried my best to fight for a quota for Ningyang. However, I still need the Secretary to speak, so I can rest assured to dock."

Gao Yuanfei said cleanly, "You can rest assured and dock boldly. Being able to push Ningyang's cadres to the municipal units, I fully support it. This is a good thing that kills two birds with one stone. If needed, I can come forward."

"Thank you for the Secretary's support, I guarantee to complete the task!"

In January 2012, Zeng Ming successfully transferred to the Municipal Judicial Bureau and was arranged to do chores in the office.

When leaving, Lu Fan and Zeng Ming communicated deeply, giving Zeng Ming a clear plan for the future.

Lu Fan also let the two shops advance 200,000 dividends to Zeng Ming in advance, so that he would not be short of money and be stingy in the new unit.

Lu Fan told Zeng Ming from the bottom of his heart that going to a new unit means starting from scratch. A brand-new environment, a new beginning, must handle interpersonal relationships well, integrate into the new unit as soon as possible, and problems that can be solved with money are not problems.

At the same time, Lu Fan paid more attention to the details of getting along with Gao Yuanfei. The hot tea at eight o'clock in the morning was always 55 degrees to avoid scalding the mouth, and it was also conducive to fully feeling the flavor and aroma of the tea; the bag was always prepared with glucose and liver protection medicine, Gao Yuanfei had wine games almost every day; every time Gao Yuanfei returned to Yingjiang, he accompanied him, first to facilitate the leader's work arrangement, and second to see if he could handle some private matters for the leader; in work, Lu Fan paid more attention to details, boldly checking for leaks and filling gaps. Whether the proposal is good or not is a matter of ability, and whether to propose it or not is a matter of attitude.

Your every move, every word, others will see in their eyes. Lu Fan's fundamental change, Gao Yuanfei can naturally feel, and he is more satisfied with this secretary. Some important things are no longer avoided by Lu Fan, and he occasionally points out Lu Fan, cultivating him as a confidant.

Someone once said: People, hard work does not necessarily lead to success, but not working hard will definitely not succeed; payment does not necessarily have a harvest, but not paying will definitely not have a harvest.

Lu Fan deeply agrees. Life is very fair. Everyone is a human being for the first time. You are not special compared to anyone. If you do nothing, why should people look at you differently? Although many times the efforts and payments cannot be cashed in time, they will eventually give you a bigger gift in an inadvertent moment.

Any success is not achieved overnight, and it requires super perseverance, indomitable spirit, and unremitting efforts to slowly realize.

Just like a seed, it must experience the darkness of deep burial, the test of severe cold and wind and snow, and only when spring warms and flowers bloom can it rush out of the soil to embrace the blue sky. Behind all success, there is hidden persistent persistence; in all the scenery before people, there is too much unknown bitterness.

There is no road walked in vain in life, every step counts!

At the end of last year, Lu Fan followed Bian Jide to run the year-end assessment indicators, went to the Municipal Organization Department, met the Deputy Minister, Assessment Office Director, and various section chiefs, and wanted scores.

This year, Lu Fan followed Gao Yuanfei to run to the Municipal Committee and Municipal Government, met the Municipal Party Secretary and Mayor, and wanted rankings.

He also truly understood that if there is no outstanding political achievement, when the counties are equal, who is excellent is just in the thought of the main leader.

Politics is a group of people gathered together. The handling of interpersonal relationships is the first priority. People who are good at handling interpersonal relationships can often be left and right, and step by step!

On the 20th of the twelfth lunar month, Lu Fan followed Gao Yuanfei to Chang'an to visit Han Guishan, and it was contacted in advance.

Gao Yuanfei's level has a designated hotel in Chang'an, and the environment and dishes are guaranteed.

At seven o'clock in the evening, Han Guishan "arrived late" and entered the private room. Gao Yuanfei did not show any impatience from beginning to end.

"Secretary Yuanfei, I'm really sorry, Governor Yixing had a reception today, and I just finished, waited a long time!"

Gao Yuanfei accompanied him with a smiling face and said, "The Secretary-General is busy with official business and cannot help himself. As long as you can come, I am satisfied. This time I came rashly to pay an early New Year greeting to the Secretary-General, wishing you everything you want, everything you think of, everything you expect, riding the wind and waves, shining brightly, and governing one side early!"

Han Guishan laughed, "Same wish! Wishes are beautiful, reality is cruel, it is difficult to walk! We can only find joy in bitterness, encourage each other, and strive for ideals! How has Little Fan been performing lately? Didn't cause you any trouble, right?"

Gao Yuanfei said, "A famous teacher produces excellent students. With the Secretary-General's words and deeds, how can he not be excellent? Now he is my capable assistant, and I can't leave him for a moment. After the term of office is full for two years, it is time to solve the full section level. He is the first deputy section-level County Committee Office Deputy Director I have ever seen!"

"Little Fan, why don't you thank Secretary Yuanfei for his promotion? Why are you stupidly stunned? Pour the wine!"

Lu Fan hurriedly filled Gao Yuanfei's wine, held it up with both hands, handed it over, and said respectfully, "Secretary, I know I am still a bit impetuous, lack overall situation, and consider things not thoroughly enough. Please criticize and correct me at any time, which is the greatest care for me. Thank you for giving me a rare learning opportunity. Working with you makes me benefit for life!" After speaking, he raised his hands and drank it down in one gulp!

"Good materials also need time and experience to polish. People's nature is the most important. Work hard, the Secretary-General and I are optimistic about you!"

Then, Lu Fan took the initiative to toast the two leaders a few glasses of wine, and under the excuse of getting some drinks, left space for the two leaders to communicate.

The next day, under Han Guishan's arrangement, Gao Yuanfei met Governor Gao Yixing, and it was not a wasted trip.

Subsequently, Lu Fan followed Gao Yuanfei to run for four full days, shuttling back and forth between various departments and bureaus, sending out more than thirty envelopes and hundreds of cards, which can be considered to truly see the leader's connections. With these relationships, Gao Yuanfei is unimpeded in the province.

This made Lu Fan realize that Mayor Le Xueren, who is in a high position, has probably laid his connections to the capital, and the energy can be imagined!

You must know that the number of ministerial leaders received by the mayor every year is not small. Using public resources to operate connections, the shots are justified, and naturally they will be extremely generous. When handling personnel matters, they will naturally be invincible! ===== CHAPTER 88 =====
