Chapter 463: We Can Set Sail Again
Year 1541 of the Grand Line Calendar.
Red Line Continent, Sacred Sky City.
At thirty-nine years old, Saint Saint Saiwen was teaching his six-year-old son Barzab Serro and the third cohort of Inazuma Kindergarten in cultivation.
Saint Saint Saiwen and Yamato had three sons: Barzab Serro, Tairo, and Leo…
He named them that way because Saint Saint Saiwen was the ultimate naming failure, and anyway, names were just labels.
His sons wouldn't blame their old man for it.
Seventeen years had passed since Saint Saint Saiwen overthrew the World Government and established the United Kingdom; the second cohort of Inazuma Kindergarten had graduated a year ago.
Over these seventeen years, the United Kingdom's rule had grown ever more stable, and the former World Government that had ruled this sea had become a thing of the past.
Especially after Luo Jie's resurrection eight years ago, senior officials across the United Kingdom's departments began competing fiercely, making the entire sea a better place.
With the cooperation of Vegapunk and the Science Defense Department, the United Kingdom had planted its flag even on Enel's former dreamland: the Infinite Land, the Moon.
Thus, this sea entered the interstellar age.
As Saint Saint Saiwen was instructing his children in swordsmanship, he suddenly sensed a spatial fluctuation in a certain sea beneath the Red Line Continent.
"It's finally here."
Time truly is an extraordinary thing.
Seventeen years ago, Saint Saint Saiwen stormed Mary Geoise, ended the rule of the Celestial Dragons, and banished Yimu, who had possessed Harald, to seventeen years in the future.
For Yimu and Harald, those seventeen years were but a blink.
But for Saint Saint Saiwen, the Morning Star Group, the United Kingdom, and the billions of beings on this sea, those seventeen years were real, tangible years.
"Captain, Kapsen, Senior Zeng, watch over the kids—I'm going out for a bit."
Luo Jie, Karp, and Zeng nodded.
"Alright."
After Karp retired from the Navy, Luo Jie—who often sparred with the restless Karp—and Zeng, who always felt his old friend had been stolen away, were both invited by Saint Saint Saiwen to serve as instructors for the third cohort of Inazuma Kindergarten.
The moment he finished speaking, Saint Saint Saiwen appeared above a Marine branch on the Grand Line.
"Saxi doesn't answer, my lord Yimu."
The instant Saint Saint Saiwen appeared, Yimu understood: He had been utterly defeated.
Seventeen years ago, neither Yimu nor Saint Saint Saiwen could overcome the other—but Yimu, in a moment of carelessness, had been banished by Saint Saint Saiwen to seventeen years in the future.
Seventeen years, compared to the World Government's eight-hundred-year reign over the sea, meant almost nothing.
Yet precisely these short seventeen years had left the current Yimu completely unable to fathom Saint Saint Saiwen's strength.
"Clever move, Barzab."
"Yimu has lost."
Though filled with boundless resentment, Yimu voluntarily left Harald's body, becoming a shadow.
"It's a pity my world remains unfinished."
Hearing this, Saint Saint Saiwen smiled and asked:
"Don't tell me you want to build a world with only Queen Lily?"
At these words, Yimu froze in place.
"Lily?!"
"How do you know that?"
Saint Saint Saiwen smiled without answering, instead tossing Yimu a photo taken during the God's Valley battle—the one showing him and Yimu together.
"I guessed."
Seeing the photo of himself and Saint Saint Saiwen, Yimu shuddered involuntarily.
Just think: the person was right beside you, even pulled out a Den Den Mushi to take a photo with you, yet you sensed nothing at all.
Such a technique made Yimu instantly recall many things.
First, Barzab possesses the ability to return to the past—after all, Yimu had read the investigation files on Barzab compiled by the Five Elders countless times, and naturally knew Barzab's age.
During the God's Valley battle, Barzab was only one year old—he could not possibly have been present there.
Second, Barzab possesses a bizarre ability to vanish from detection—even Yimu couldn't sense him.
All the inexplicable techniques Saint Saint Saiwen had displayed shattered Yimu's composure completely.
"You… who are you?"
"I am myself—Barzab Saint Saint Saiwen."
With that, Saint Saint Saiwen flicked his finger.
"It's time, my lord Yimu. Will you submit willingly, or shall I beat you senseless before locking and sealing you away?"
Yimu asked, puzzled: "You won't kill me?"
Logically, as the ultimate victor, Barzab would never allow such a being to continue living.
"You're still somewhat useful."
In a few more years, once Saint Saint Saiwen has gathered a full set of divine gear from the Trading Platform, he might leave the Pirate World to explore other worlds.
Then, bringing Yimu along for company wouldn't hurt.
Of course, provided he can return to the Pirate World at any time—otherwise, it's better to stay and retire here.
Yimu let out a bitter laugh.
"Only somewhat useful?"
He, the great King of the World, the eight-hundred-year ruler of this sea, Nerona Yimu the Holy—mere "somewhat useful" to Barzab?
Ironic? Perhaps.
But no matter what, defeat is defeat—and compared to seventeen years ago, he had been utterly, hopelessly defeated now.
After seeing that photo from the Valley of the Gods, He lacked the courage to even strike at Barzab Saint Saint Saiwen.
Im only regretted that he hadn't had the heart to eradicate Barzab Saint Saint Saiwen completely back then, leading him to this state—sealed inside a bottle.
What is this?
A man in a bottle?
After resolving Im, Saint Saint Saiwen bowed and clasped his fists toward Harald, who was still dazed.
"Old Har, you've suffered."
Harald finally came to his senses, smiling and shaking his head: "As long as we won, it's fine—and… for me, it was just the blink of an eye."
With Im's threat eliminated, no one on this sea could now challenge Saint Saint Saiwen's will.
Mihawk, who had some ties to Im, never endorsed Im's ruling philosophy; there was never any notion of Mihawk biding his time to overthrow the United Kingdom.
From then on, Saint Saint Saiwen entered a semi-retired life, spending each day playing with Yamato and their sons.
Every month, without fail, he sold ten pure gold rings, using the accumulated points to buy items that enhanced his strength—including items similar to the Twelve Talismans, and Immortal Beans, the holy healing medicine.
As of now, when Saint Saint Saiwen was thirty-nine and in the Grand Line Year 1541, he possessed the Horse Talisman, the Pig Talisman, the Rooster Talisman, and the Rabbit Talisman.
He also owned several of Great King's Product: Universal Sealing Scroll, Flying Cloak, Time Machine…
And various types of Immortal Beans from the Dragon Ball world, each with different effects.
Plus equipment such as the Imperial Artifact: Water Dragon Possession.
But Saint Saint Saiwen always felt it wasn't safe enough.
If he wanted to explore other worlds, he needed at least a full set of divine gear, all twelve Talismans, or to purchase the Ancient Saiyan Physiology.
After accounting for all his expenses over the years, Saint Saint Saiwen now had only 150 million points left, while the Ancient Saiyan Physiology cost one billion points.
In short, Saint Saint Saiwen still had to wait about ten more years in the Pirate World.
Ten years later, the Sacred Land, Sky City.
【Purchase successful. Congratulations, you have obtained the Ancient Saiyan Physiology. Warning, warning: your power has exceeded the current dimension's upper limit. Proceed with extreme caution…】
After disabling the system notification, Saint Saint Saiwen let out a long breath.
"Time to set sail again."
——————————————
I'm very sorry—the plan was to finish this during the May 1 holiday, but because I was brainstorming a new book, my mind kept battling between two stories, and it dragged on until now.
I originally wrote over ten thousand characters for the Valley of the Gods, but felt it was too abrupt, so I simply deleted it.
What's past is past; Saint Saint Saiwen should stay out of it as much as possible.
Though I'm reluctant, everything that needed to be written has been written—I'll write some side stories later.
Thank you to all the readers who have accompanied and supported me along the way.
Side stories require Level 5 to unlock; I should be able to write this book's side stories by mid-month.
Dear readers, goodbye.
