Chapter 94: Human-Human Fruit, Mythical Beast Type, Thunder God Form
As the eastern dawn lit up the earth, a new day arrived as usual.
Countless news birds carried the latest edition of the newspaper in their satchels, splitting into countless streams along their designated routes, flying toward every corner of the world.
Delivering news to every island and every ship across the four seas and the Grand Line.
Marine Headquarters, Admiral’s Office.
Sengoku placed the newspaper on his desk, raised his head to face the high-ranking Marines who had returned from the Shichibukai Execution Order, and for a moment could not decide which topic to address first.
In the stifling, heavy silence, the mocking voice of Admiral Kizaru broke through.
“Kura kura kura!”
“Human-Human Fruit, Mythical Beast Type, Thunder God Form—no wonder he can control three elemental powers simultaneously.”
Kizaru would never believe Morgans’ claim in the newspaper—that Barzab Seven’s elementalization was due to the Human-Human Fruit, Mythical Beast Type, Thunder God Form—he had witnessed it firsthand more than once.
What nonsense—if that theory were true, wouldn’t that mean Pola Sarno himself ate the Human-Human Fruit, Mythical Beast Type, Sun God Form?
He simply can’t control three elemental powers at once—only light.
Someone broke the silence first, and the other Marine high-ranking officers quickly followed, launching into heated discussion.
“No wonder he can control lightning, seawater, and fire simultaneously—it’s a Mythical Beast type.”
“Yeah, I thought the guy ate three Devil Fruits.”
Hearing the conversation among the Marine vice admirals, Garp silently took a bag of snacks from a cabinet behind Sengoku and crunched loudly.
Is it really the Human-Human Fruit, Mythical Beast Type?
Though this explanation seemed superficially reasonable, Garp felt something was deeply off—how could Morgans possibly know so much?
Did Barzab Seven and Morgans collude?
By publishing the Human-Human Fruit, Mythical Beast Type in the newspaper, are they making everyone believe Barzab Seven ate a Mythical Beast Fruit, thereby concealing something even more critical?
Crunch—crunch—
Garp felt he had glimpsed something, but couldn’t quite grasp it.
“Garp, be quiet.”
Admiral Tsuru sighed and reminded him.
Garp chuckled awkwardly and shoved the snacks into his pocket—if Sengoku had said that, he wouldn’t care, but with little Tsuru, he had to listen.
With that interruption, Garp lost the fleeting insight he’d almost caught, and closed his eyes to feign sleep.
“Ahem.” Sengoku cleared his throat.
“Brannew is sick, so we won’t hold a formal meeting. Everyone, share your thoughts—should we raise the bounty on the Morning Star Pirates?”
As soon as he finished speaking, Akainu was the first to speak.
“Three billion is no longer sufficient to match Barzab Seven’s strength—it must be raised to a reasonable level.”
To Akainu’s proposal, the Marine high-ranking officers unusually offered no opposition—not even Sengoku, Kizaru, or the other conservative leaders.
“A bounty of five billion is the reasonable range,” Akainu said without expression.
All the Marine high-ranking officers nodded—Barzab Seven’s bounty was too low; wouldn’t that make these high-ranking officers who carried out the Shichibukai Execution Order look incompetent?
Two current Marine admirals, one Marine hero, over a dozen Marine vice admirals—were all stopped by a single Barzab Seven?
How would pirates view them?
The Marines nearly mobilized their entire force, yet still failed to capture a pirate with a three-billion-bounty? Then isn’t Whitebeard already invincible?
Kizaru spread his hands: “I have no objections.”
Garp nodded silently.
Just as Sengoku was about to finalize the bounty decision, his pocket phone worm suddenly vibrated—it was the direct line to the Five Elders.
Sengoku waved his hand, signaling silence.
The phone worm mimicked Saint Satan’s voice.
“Sengoku, keep Barzab Seven’s bounty unchanged for now. Also, send Pola Sarno to Mary Geoise immediately.”
The call ended. Sengoku remained stunned.
What’s going on?
Barzab Seven kidnapped the Celestial Dragon Elaine Saint twice, successfully extorted ransom from the World Government—why are the Five Elders showing him such special attention?
A thought flashed through Sengoku’s mind—and his eyes widened in shock.
【Is Barzab Seven also a Celestial Dragon?】
No—if Barzab Seven were a Celestial Dragon, why would the Five Elders have ordered the Shichibukai Execution Order, and specifically arranged for the coating craftsmen to tamper with the equipment?
And if he’s a Celestial Dragon too, why did he choose Elaine Saint for his second kidnapping—was it a spontaneous decision? Then what about the first? Why Elaine Saint then?
A power struggle among Celestial Dragons?
Otherwise, why would Saint Satan have called specifically to order the bounty unchanged?
Sengoku rubbed his temples, feeling as if his head would explode—being Marine Admiral was truly unbearable.
“Barzab Seven’s bounty remains unchanged. Pola Sarno, go to Mary Geoise.”
Kizaru nodded: “Understood.”
Watching Kizaru leave, Sengoku sighed and waved his hand to the other Marine high-ranking officers: “The bounty matter is postponed. Dismissed.”
The other Marine high-ranking officers gradually left, but Garp appeared asleep and remained motionless, while Akainu stared at Sengoku, who was still rubbing his temples.
“As Marine Admiral, Mr. Sengoku, can you not once defy the Five Elders’ orders?”
Sengoku slammed his fist on the desk and stood up.
“Sakazuki, I am still the Marine Admiral! When you become Marine Admiral, I’ll watch you defy the Five Elders!”
“Hmph.” Akainu rose and left.
…
New World, Onigashima, Wano Country.
Beasts Pirates’ headquarters.
Yan Zai stared at the newspaper in his hand; beneath his mask, his eyes gleamed with an unusual light—like the joy of seeing a kindred spirit, and… uncertainty.
White hair—condition met.
Fire—condition met.
Flame wings—he had never seen such a thing before.
Pale skin—condition not met.
Because of this freshly printed newspaper, Jin stood frozen like a statue, his mind swirling with thoughts.
At that moment, Kaido staggered over, dragging a unconscious white-haired girl.
“Why are you standing there like a log?”
Jin silently handed the newspaper to Kaido, then took the six-year-old Yamato from Kaido’s grasp—looked closely: He’d been knocked out again by Kaido.
“Mr. Kaido, Yamato is still a child—can you please stop knocking her out every time?”
Kaido grinned, reeking of alcohol.
“Worororo~”
“You think Barzab Seven controls fire, so he must be a Lunaria? The newspaper says he ate a Mythical Beast Fruit.”
“I control multiple elements too.”
Jin gently laid Yamato on the bed, then turned to Kaido to explain his suspicion.
“Do you have flame wings on your back?”
Kaido leaned closer to examine the photo: “You’re right—Barzab Seven’s wings really don’t look like yours.”
“Do you know why?”
Jin shook his head: “I’ve never met another Lunaria since I was born. I know nothing about their lineage.”
Aside from his parents, Jin had never encountered another Lunaria since he could remember.
Kaido returned the newspaper to Jin, thought for a moment, then made his decision.
“Alright—once we take over all of Wano, I’ll go with you to meet Barzab Seven. He’s already in the New World anyway.”
“Thank you.”
