Chapter 1164

Compared to Lv Bu, Zhang Hu's battle records in Yanmen are much worse, mostly relying on elites, and even the number of troops has an advantage.

And Lv Bu's battle records mostly win by weakness, often using a few thousand to charge the tens of thousands of Xianbei or even Xiongnu large armies, and can even chase and beat the various grassland tribes.

This is the most terrifying thing.

Especially the Bingzhou Snow Wolf Cavalry he trained in his hands, the number is not large, only 500, but it is indeed the biggest trump card of their Lv family.

It is precisely relying on this Snow Wolf Cavalry that every time Lv Bu charges the enemy, he is invincible. Of course, this also has a lot to do with Lv Bu's sense of finding opportunities on the battlefield.

This person is simply a natural general, a point even Zhang Hu has to admire.

And after experiencing that once-in-a-century plundering, Lv Bu also completely rose in Bingzhou and even the border area.

His reputation even deterred the ten thousand miles of the grasslands.

After that battle, there were no grassland tribes within a thousand miles of the grasslands outside Bingzhou, all of them moved to other places.

Because this person constantly led cavalry to search for various grassland tribes to hunt, which was even more terrifying than others.

The other party only led 3,000 cavalry, indeed coming and going like the wind. If the large armies of the various grassland tribes were less than 30,000, this person dared to lead people to charge and break them in one battle.

Once the number was large, he would lead the cavalry to retreat. The speed was fast, which also made the grasslands have no way to deal with him.

His use of troops was strong, and he was a famous general at the time.

The key was that at that time, he was not old. Compared to those generals commanding an army at the border, Lv Bu could only be a junior among juniors.

However, this person's battle record, placed in Bingzhou, even he couldn't say he could suppress him.

The Lv family also completely stood firm after this person appeared. Originally, the foundation laid by his ancestors and father became a powerful family in Jiuyuan, which was no problem.

And the appearance of Lv Bu accelerated the speed, and the Lv family suddenly became the strongest noble clan in Jiuyuan. It is the strongest, not the largest.

Because the Lv family, to be honest, doesn't have many clansmen. Compared to those noble clans, it is really pitifully few. His ancestors, although they also branched out, to be honest, the ancestors of the Lv family didn't produce any big figures, mostly low-level officers in the army.

Such officers, although they could obtain a few hundred acres of land by military merit, these were at most enough to support them. Wanting to expand and branch out was impossible.

So even now, the clansmen of the Lv family, within the five degrees of mourning, are probably only around 150.

This number, even if placed in a small landlord, is not many.

Let alone compared to those powerful families.

Even the weakest powerful family has no less than a thousand clansmen, and as for land, tens of thousands of acres are normal, and there are hundreds of tenant farmers.

This is still a small powerful family.

Those true noble clans of the commanderies and states, tens of thousands of people, and tens of thousands of tenant farmers, this is the true big clan.

The Lv family, to be honest, has barely transformed from the commoner class to a noble clan. Wanting to truly become that kind of powerful family requires a hundred years, or even longer.

However, after two generations of hard work in the Jiuyuan army and the strength of three generations of ancestors, the Lv family's strength in Jiuyuan Commandery is definitely the strongest.

Especially the current Lv Bu, this person's cultivation has reached the martial arts soul-refining realm, and his strength has even exceeded his Zhang Hu.

After all, back then, the other party beheaded a soul-refining powerhouse in the martial arts Golden Core realm. One can imagine the strength.

In these twenty years, with terrifying combat power, he killed the grassland aliens until their scalps went numb. As long as they saw the blood-colored Lv flag, the grassland aliens would tremble. Clearly, they had been killed by Lv Bu until they were cold-hearted.

The Snow Wolf flag of the Lv family is like a taboo on the grasslands.

This point, even Zhang Hu has to admire.

The key is that Lv Bu is too young, only ten years older than his grandson, and although his grandson is not bad and is already a Grandmaster, breaking through to the martial arts Golden Core is not far away.

But compared to Lv Bu, who deterred the grasslands, he is still quite a bit worse.

So to say potential, Lv Bu is definitely higher than his grandson.

Of course, his grandson is not bad either. This point Zhang Hu will not belittle himself.

Communicating with Zhang Hu, Su Fan deepened his understanding of the border area quite a bit. The sixteen states of the northern border, Youzhou, Huangzhou, and Lizhou are the upper states.

Bingzhou can only be considered medium, but the population is not small, plus the hidden households, there are no less than 60 million people.

Among them, Jiuyuan Commandery and Yanmen Commandery are closest to the grasslands, so the troops here are the most numerous and the most elite.

The two commanderies together have 150,000 elite soldiers, and there are more than 300,000 local troops. As for other commanderies in Bingzhou, there are also commandery garrison troops, and the number is not small, but they are all third-rate, and in reality, there is no difference from yamen runners.

Other states are about the same. Of course, Youzhou is the strongest, because Youzhou has the Liu Han imperial family controlling the army, which is also the only army of the Liu Han imperial family at the border.

This place is actually also to deter the Yuan Prince's Mansion.

Yuanzhou is adjacent to Youzhou, and the imperial court is still vigilant about those kings of different surnames, so they sent a royal family member to Youzhou to control the troops of Youzhou.

However, the current Liu Han is declining. Even in the army in Youzhou, thoughts have gradually arisen, and some troops have begun to move away from the provincial governor's office.

In this regard, even that royal provincial governor has no way.

After all, he has the power to mobilize, but he dare not put pressure on them. After all, Youzhou is close to the grasslands, and Youzhou itself is the most prosperous place at the border, and it is also the place that grassland aliens like to attack the most.

If he dared to suppress the high-level members of the army at will, once it triggered internal strife, for Youzhou, it would simply be a disaster.

So that provincial governor is actually very difficult, and has to treat the grassland aliens with a conciliatory attitude.

It's just that this attitude makes other provincial governors at the border even more unconvinced.

After all, many places at the border have blood feuds with the grassland aliens. Whether it is in the army or locally, which one does not have blood feuds with the grassland aliens? This Youzhou governor dares to treat aliens like this. In the eyes of those people, that is a crooked butt.

This is betrayal. If it weren't for the other party being the imperial court's provincial governor, some people would even have taken action against him.

So the army in Youzhou has also begun to separate.

In addition, the influence of the Yuan Prince's Mansion is also constantly rising subtly. According to Zhang Hu, the Yuan Prince's Mansion had also tried to win him over. Not only him, but as long as there were martial generals who stood out at the border, they had all received the solicitation of the Yuan Prince's Mansion.

That person's ambition, in the border area, is actually known to everyone.

Of course, perhaps the other party does not have the ambition to ascend to the throne, but the idea of self-reliance is definitely there.
