Chapter 350: Whatever you want, I can give you!
Fu Er and Fu San were both startled.
However, Ye Qingran's complexion turned gradually ashen, as if losing vitality; especially her originally rosy lips, now pallid without a trace of blood.
Blood stained the corner of her mouth, yet she laughed loudly, "National Master, it's too late! Don't forget your promise!"
"No!"
If she's doing this just for his promise, it's truly unnecessary! Because, as long as she says a word, he's willing to do anything for her, even at the cost of his life!
The violent, furious Mysterious Parasite seemed to sense that Ye Qingran was a suitable host, arriving at the wound on Fu Hanxiu's wrist, passing through Ye Qingran's wound, and entering her body.
The sudden Mysterious Parasite, with its frenzied power, caught Ye Qingran off guard—or, even if she had braced herself mentally, it still made her feel a pain akin to death by a thousand cuts!
She clenched her teeth, sweat beading on her forehead, violently shook off Fu Hanxiu's hand, knelt on the ground, and her whole body trembled.
Fu Hanxiu was filled with pity, his heart and face full of compassion.
He wanted to do something for her, but he could do nothing.
Moreover, due to his Fallen Mortal state and the sudden departure of the Mysterious Parasite, he had no strength left in his body.
He hated his own incompetence to death!
The ever‑resourceful, omnipotent Emperor Sovereign had never before felt such profound helplessness in his entire life!
This scene also left Fu Er and Fu San shocked speechless, frozen, not knowing how to react.
Ye Qingran, did you transfer the Emperor Sovereign's Mysterious Parasite into your own body?
Her—why would she do this?
The two were utterly shocked.
Especially Fu Er. Just moments ago he had doubted Ye Qingran's intentions, suspecting her of plotting against the Emperor Sovereign, even kneeling before him to belittle and mock her medical skills, urging him to reconsider. But now he felt every word he had spoken turn into a slap striking his face.
Although Ye Qingran did not kill the Mysterious Parasite, she transferred it onto herself, meaning that for the rest of her life she will bear the pain and despair it brings to the Emperor Sovereign.
He had previously scolded Ye Qingran for being selfish, harboring ulterior motives, and approaching the Emperor Sovereign with impure intentions...
But now...
Regret, like a flood, engulfed him!
Shortly after, Fu Hanxiu's body, no longer tormented by the Mysterious Parasite, regained its strength. Yet he felt no joy of escaping death; instead, his heart ached without bounds, heedless of everything, he came ashore and held Ye Qingran in his arms.
He held her tightly, almost wanting to embed her into his very bones and blood. Seeing her wound still bleeding, he pressed their wrists together, trying to draw the Mysterious Parasite back into his body.
But the Mysterious Parasite had found a new environment—how could it possibly return to his body?
"Ran'er, Ran'er…" Fu Hanxiu sounded as if he had lost his soul, not knowing what to do.
The ever‑courageous, unflappable Emperor Sovereign was now nothing more than a bewildered mortal.
Ye Qingran felt her spirit and body separating.
She must have been sliced into pieces, right?
Otherwise, how could she hurt so much that she couldn't feel her own existence?
Fu Hanxiu's voice seemed to come from far away.
Before coming to the National Master's residence, she had already done much homework. She knew how painful transferring the Mysterious Parasite would be for a new host, but only when she truly felt that pain did she realize just how agonizing it was!
Death by a thousand cuts couldn't be worse than this, could it?
But she couldn't let this pain defeat her!
She still had her child, and so many who loved her and whom she loved.
She wanted to live well, to live strongly!
"Ran'er, I beg you, wake up quickly!"
Wuhen?
Is that Wuhen's voice?
"Wuhen…" Ye Qingran whispered softly.
Fu Hanxiu's whole body tensed; the depths of his eyes, dark as the abyss, suddenly flashed with a glint of light.
"Ran'er, you've finally awakened!"
Heaven knows how terrified he had just been—afraid she would abandon him, leaving him to live alone.
The scene before her gradually cleared, and Ye Qingran finally saw the man before her clearly.
"National Master?" It turned out not to be Wuhen.
A faint sense of loss flickered in the depths of her eyes.
But she had clearly just heard Wuhen's voice.
Perhaps it was just an auditory hallucination.
After all, when one's will is at its weakest, one is most prone to hallucinations.
The bloodstains on her wrists gradually dried, the pain over her body faded, and Ye Qingran felt as if she had been run over by a truck—every part of her ached. Yet compared to the earlier anguish akin to death by a thousand cuts, it was much better.
"Why?"
Fu Hanxiu still couldn't believe what had just happened; if she left him because of this, he would spend his lifetime in self‑reproach!
Ye Qingran regained her strength, pushed away Fu Hanxiu's embrace, staggered to her feet, and said, "National Master, although I couldn't help you kill the Mysterious Parasite, from now on you need no longer suffer the pain and torment it brings."
Fu Hanxiu's heart sank with each of her words.
Fu Er and Fu San now didn't know what to say at all.
Ye Qingran transferred the Emperor Sovereign's Mysterious Parasite into her own body! Why would she do such a thing?
"National Master, you needn't blame yourself; I did this for a purpose. You promised me—I hope you never go back on your word."
"What do you want? Whatever you want, I can give you!"
Ye Qingran's eyes flickered.
I hope you don't take my child away.
Can you agree?
