Chapter 470: Awaiting the League
The airship emerged from the Ultimate Abyss as night had already fallen outside, the darkness deep and heavy.
Inside the cabin, Goulu Zhaobo was being watched over entirely by Paipa.
In another room, Lusamine remained unconscious, but a figure now stood beside her bed.
It was a middle‑aged man with yellow hair, his skin sallow and pallid from years without sunlight. He was the very person Lusamine had been thinking of constantly—Mo En.
Besides that, another room also held a Zha'aobo, who was being specially supervised by the people of the Ultimate Metropolis.
Lai Ke stood beside Huo La and couldn't help asking, "Are you really willing to let us come to your world?"
Huo La first nodded, then gently shook his head and said honestly, "My agreement is useless. I told you the rules of this world before; even if we later reclaim every region, whether you can stay long‑term will ultimately be decided by the League's review."
"I brought you here this time mainly for Little Nebula, for the matter of Suo Er Jia Lei Ou."
"I understand," Lai Ke replied calmly, "As long as we can retrieve Suo Er Jia Lei Ou and restore light to our world, we can fully redevelop in our own world and have no intention of invading yours."
Huo La said nothing more, because Bike and Neimu Boshi were already hurrying toward them.
Huo La greeted with a smile, "Division Chief Bike, Doctor Neimu, long time no see."
"Long time no see, ghost; it's only been a few hours," Neimu Boshi jumped onto the airship, scanned the surroundings, his gaze lingered briefly on Lai Ke, then he asked seriously, "Where are Zha'aobo and Lusamine? How are they?"
"Both Zha'aobo have been detained and monitored; Lusamine is still unconscious, but her purpose for this trip has been fulfilled," Huo La replied.
Bike also stepped onto the airship, considered a moment, then asked, "Should I contact the League to handle the follow‑up?"
Huo La gave her a glance, understanding in his heart.
Bike was very shrewd; now that the airship was in their hands, the outcome was decided, and they themselves represented the League. She did not rashly take over the situation, but first asked for her own opinion, taking her position into account.
"Contact the League, have them send people to take over the subsequent matters. As for Alola's future development, let the League and the Aether Foundation discuss it themselves."
"Alright, I understand," Bike said solemnly, nodding.
"By the way, Division Chief Bike, this is Lai Ke, one of the administrators of the Aether Metropolis world. He has come specifically to help us resolve the Ultimate Exotic Beast threat."
Lai Ke gave Bike a slight nod, a polite gesture.
He had previously agreed with Huo La that they could not use Sheer Force to take Little Nebula; every action must have a legitimate pretext, and assisting with the Ultimate Exotic Beast crisis was the safest, most appropriate reason.
"Very pleased to meet you, Mr. Lai Ke. I will later give you a detailed briefing of the situation here," Bike replied politely.
In the room arranged by the Aether Foundation, Huo La was on a call with Professor Oak.
"Oh dear, you've only been here a few days and the power balance in Alola has already shifted so dramatically; honestly, when we heard Bike's message, we were stunned."
Professor Oak was sitting around a hot‑pot with Xiao Mao and Professor Elm.
Huo La, through the video call, said helplessly, "I never could have imagined it; the situation forced us to press on blindly. Even now I can't figure out how the Rocket Team managed to open the Ultimate Abyss."
He had previously interrogated Zha'aobo and already uncovered the truth: for years the Aether Foundation had been devoted to researching the technique to open the Ultimate Abyss, and Goulu Zhaobo, who clearly possessed the method, deliberately kept silent, letting them fumble around.
"I know a bit about this," Xiao Mao said, "Sakaki mentioned earlier that their research base in Alola was rebuilt on the site of an old base, and the core technology they use also comes from the old site. Supposedly the creator of that technology is Dr. Mo En."
Huo La thought for a moment, then nodded with understanding, "So the technology was left by Mo En; that makes sense."
Mo En is Lusamine's husband, the very person they rescued this time; it is only natural that he possesses that technology.
Professor Oak continued, "By the way, the League's team has already set out overnight. Leading them is a young native Alolan named Ma Ruiyin. Stay two more days; once he arrives and the handover is complete, you can attend to your own matters."
"I understand, I'll stay and wait for him," Huo La replied.
"Also, Doctor Neimu has already contacted me, briefed me on your situation, and she's willing to step in to help you."
Huo La was not surprised; it was perfectly normal for Doctor Neimu and Professor Oak to exchange information.
"Alright, that's all. Stop just chatting, and don't try to snatch the meat from me!"
The words hung in the air, and the video call ended. Huo La laughed and shook his head; it was clear Professor Oak had become much more cheerful lately, gradually returning to the person he once was.
Huo La took a deep breath, pulled an Ultimate Ball from his pack, and placed it gently on the table.
Inside the ball was Necrozma.
The Divine Beast's condition was already unstable; keeping it in the Ultimate Metropolis would pose endless risks, so capturing it beside him was the safest solution.
He had no intention of readily wielding Necrozma's power, yet the scenes of Goulu Zhaobo merging with it kept replaying in his mind.
Relying on Pokemon's power can cause humans to unleash such unimaginable strength; that level has long transcended ordinary humanity.
Nevertheless, he had little interest in trying it himself.
Just as Huo La stared at the Ultimate Ball on the table, a crisp knock sounded from outside the door.
Huo La immediately snapped his thoughts back, lifted the ball and secured it, then said in a deep voice, "Who's there?"
A familiar voice from outside, Doctor Neimu's, replied clearly and gently, "It's me, and Bike."
Huo La paused briefly, "Coming, wait a moment."
