Chapter 498: Let Me Do It
The Pokeball's light burst, and Dai Oqixi Si's figure materialized out of thin air, silently hovering above the ruins.
An ethereal voice rang directly in Huo La's mind, with a hint of helplessness: "Are you planning to have me block a world‑destroying level battle?"
Huo La sighed inwardly and replied quickly: "Stop complaining; we can only rely on you now. Go up and cooperate with Di Ya Lu Ka and Pa Lu Qi Ya, holding back the four Divine Beasts on the other side. I need to pull Qi La Di Na out."
"…You really overestimate me," Dai Oqixi Si said, his tone icy yet unable to hide his utter helplessness.
"I don't expect you to defeat them head‑on," Huo La hurriedly soothed, "just keep them occupied and buy me time. Once Qi La Di Na clears a space and we open the Antimatter World, it'll be over; we'll need at most twenty minutes."
After a brief silence, Dai Oqixi Si finally agreed: "Alright."
Huo La immediately laid out his plan: "First, use Psychic to swap my position with Bilan's."
As soon as the words left his mouth, a faint Psychic aura flared around Dai Oqixi Si.
In the next instant, Huo La and Bilan's positions were instantly exchanged.
Bilan hadn't even processed it, completely stunned, while Dai Oqixi Si had already turned into a streak of light, soaring into the High‑altitude Battlefield and swiftly joining the melee.
Seeing the person suddenly swapped onto Qi La Di Na, Lysandre's eyes filled with confusion, and he couldn't immediately grasp the shift in the battle.
Beside him, Ghetsis instantly saw through the truth, a knowing smile curling his lips, and shouted loudly: "Huo La!"
Hearing the name, Lysandre's pupils contracted sharply, and his angry eyes snapped open.
He whirled his head toward Xiaoyin's direction; Xiaoyin, feeling guilty, silently turned his head away, avoiding eye contact.
"So you're the real Huo La!" Lysandre growled, teeth clenched, his voice low.
"That's right, it's me," Huo La replied calmly.
"You dared to conspire and deceive me?" Lysandre's fury boiled over.
Huo La's tone was flat, yet with a hint of teasing: "You're the one who's too gullible; you believe everything anyone says."
Those words completely infuriated Lysandre.
"Seeking death!"
Lysandre barked a command, "Iphiltar, Death Wing!"
A jet of black, destructive wind surged out instantly, barreling straight at Huo La.
At the critical moment, Dai Oqixi Si sprang forward, a cold light coalescing!
"Freezing Beam!"
A piercing icy beam blasted forth, directly countering Iphiltar's destructive onslaught; the two energies clashed violently, exploding into a storm of shockwaves.
Seizing the moment the attack was blocked, Huo La immediately ordered the Qi La Di Na before him, his voice decisive: "Qi La Di Na, activate Antimatter Space!"
"Activate Antimatter Space?" Lysandre sneered coldly, full of contempt, "Only now thinking to use this move—still too late!"
Facing the taunt, Qi La Di Na didn't pause, its long tail whipping suddenly.
Behind it, it instantly tore open a deep Space-time Rift, the breach continuously expanding and spreading, the black fissure growing larger.
Through the Rift, one could clearly see the opposite side's broken, desolate ruins—a bizarre scene, the Antimatter Space unique to it.
Huo La turned his head and locked eyes with Xiaoyin and Paipa; the three instantly fell into tacit understanding.
The next second, Di Ya Lu Ka and Pa Lu Qi Ya both surged forward, launching another fierce assault on the four enemy Divine Beasts.
Dai Oqixi Si followed closely, coordinating with the two Space-Time Divine Beasts to press the front line, fully restraining the opponents, buying precious time to open the space and exile the weapon.
"Antimatter Space…"
Ghetsis stared at the slowly widening black Rift, a hint of puzzlement on his face.
In his view, opening Antimatter Space now was utterly meaningless.
On the field, the Space-Time Trio were already tightly held, and a single spatial portal could not reverse the collapsing situation.
But in the next instant, his gaze sharpened, instantly seeing through Huo La's true purpose.
Huo La never intended to turn the tide by sending Qi La Di Na into battle; from start to finish he deliberately delayed the fight and steadied the field, aiming to hold out until the Final Weapon was fully airborne, then use Antimatter Space to exile it completely!
"So that's it, you're buying time."
Ghetsis's eyes darkened, and he immediately barked, "Jie Ke Luo Mu, ignore the front line! Go block Huo La and Qi La Di Na at once!"
The black dragon answered with a long howl, dark lightning raging around it, instantly breaking Dai Oqixi Si's restraint, turning into a black streak of light that surged toward Qi La Di Na and Huo La, sealing their movements tightly.
The battlefield situation instantly grew more perilous.
Di Ya Lu Ka, Pa Lu Qi Ya, and Dai Oqixi Si fought the Kalos Three Gods with all their might, exhausted to the limit, unable to spare any energy to fall back.
Huo La, with Qi La Di Na, was singled out by Jie Ke Luo Mu, repeatedly seeking a chance to strike, yet each time was precisely blocked.
Time ticked away second by second, the twenty‑minute window shrinking rapidly.
Huo La's mind grew increasingly frantic; although the Final Weapon had fully detached from the ground and floated mid‑air, he still couldn't find the right moment to trigger the exile.
As long as Jie Ke Luo Mu entangled it, Qi La Di Na couldn't fully power Antimatter Space, and the plan could collapse at any moment.
At that moment, when the stalemate was hard to break and the entire field was taut to the extreme, a clear helicopter roar echoed from the distant sky.
A military helicopter burst through the clouds, cutting the battlefield's smoke, slowly circling above the ruins. On its side, the iconic red "R" was emblazoned.
It's the Rocket Team!
At the cockpit opening, Musashi, Kojiro, and Miao Miao's trio poked their heads out, and between them stood a figure shrouded in a black robe, watching the chaotic Divine Beast battle below.
The helicopter's roar circled overhead, and Musashi's voice boomed down, laced with a hint of mockery: "Little brat, it's only been a few days since you split up, and you've already turned the entire Shixiang Town into ruins."
Huo La furrowed his brows, looking up at the helicopter high above.
His gaze flicked quickly over the grinning Musashi, the cautious Kojiro and Miao Miao, finally fixing firmly on the mysterious figure cloaked entirely in black between them.
The person was hidden from head to toe in the black robe's shadows, face unseen, exuding an oddly quiet aura that clashed with the noisy Rocket Team trio.
Kojiro, with no desire for idle chat, immediately interjected: "Musashi, what should we do?"
Miao Miao opened his mouth to respond, but a low, weary male voice from the black‑robed figure cut in first: "Let me handle it."
