Chapter 502: Kalos Reconstruction

~6 min read 1,146 words

Huo La had no time to care about Lysandre's departure; the countdown on the Rotom Phone was still racing, each second deadly.

"Go! Kira Tena!" Huo La shouted loudly.

Above the midair, the Kira Tena that had been silently holding open the Dimensional Rift instantly unleashed its full power.

The pitch‑black Anti‑Matter energy roiled violently, and the already vast Dimensional Rift expanded wildly again, a deep, dark spatial passage enveloping the whole sky, while the domineering Dimensional Power locked the Final Weapon suspended over the ruins.

"Paluchia!" Huo La immediately ordered again.

Paluchia's surrounding Spatial Power surged violently, countless space fissures interlaced, and directly beneath the Final Weapon it opened a vertical spatial passage that led straight to the Antimatter World.

Ghetsis stood aside, watching coldly, showing no intention of intervening.

The new deal had already been sealed; he had no intention of re‑entering the battle, merely staring indifferently at this final scene.

"Now! Kira Tena, Paluchia, pull with all your might!"

Paluchia let out a sharp screech, and the space fissure it created instantly emitted an extremely strong suction. At the same moment, the Antimatter World behind Kira Tena roared in sync, unleashing an even more terrifying Dimensional suction.

The two ultimate pulls intertwined, firmly gripping the massive Final Weapon.

Under everyone's gaze, the heavy, colossal Forbidden Weapon gradually slid down the space passage opened by Paluchia, slowly falling toward the Antimatter World.

An inch, a foot, a yard…

Time rushed by, each second tightening the hearts of everyone present.

Boom—!

A low, resonant boom echoed through the heavens.

The Final Weapon completely left this world, swallowed wholly by the pitch‑black Antimatter Rift; its massive body instantly sank into the deep Dimensional darkness, and together with the millennia‑accumulated Forbidden Energy, vanished entirely from this world.

The next moment, the Antimatter Rift, stretched to its limit, slowly contracted and sealed. The twisted sky, the raging chaotic energy, all dissipated, and the long‑standing destructive pressure over the heavens was completely eradicated.

The gale ceased, the smoke cleared, and the apocalyptic clouds that had shrouded all of Kalos vanished completely at this moment.

The countdown on the Rotom Phone stopped precisely at zero.

Xiaoyin, Paipa and Bilan exchanged glances, their taut spirits finally relaxing, their eyes filled with gratitude and relief for having survived the calamity.

When Huo La woke up again, it was already the afternoon of the next day.

The setting sun's afterglow spilled over, covering the scarred ruins of Shixiang Town, adding a touch of desolation and bleakness to the shattered land.

The chaotic scene before them starkly reminded everyone that last night's cataclysmic battle was not a dream but a real catastrophe.

"Huo La."

A gentle voice sounded beside his ear.

Huo La turned his head and saw Bu La Ta Nuo Bo Shi standing beside him.

"Bu La Ta Nuo Bo Shi," Huo La replied softly.

"Hmm," Bu La Ta Nuo nodded lightly, his tone caring as he asked, "How does your body feel?"

Huo La moved his limbs; his arms tingled slightly, and he answered slowly, "Nothing serious, just some muscle soreness all over."

Bu La Ta Nuo looked at him, smiling as he explained, "After the battle ended last night you instantly collapsed from exhaustion. Fortunately, Deoxys reacted instantly, catching you steadily with Psychic, otherwise that fall would have at least caused a concussion."

Huo La helplessly raised his hand and patted the back of his head.

He knew that after the Final Weapon was successfully banished last night and the crisis fully resolved, his tightly wound spirit suddenly relaxed, his body instantly gave out and he fainted, and he had no memory of what followed.

After calming slightly, Huo La hurriedly asked, "Doctor, how are things on the Flash Flame Team's side?"

"Rest assured," Bu La Ta Nuo said steadily, "That Lysandre keeps his word. He took a group of Flash Flame Team remnants willing to follow him, and left together with Ghetsis. The remaining members have all been taken under our control."

Hearing this, Huo La let out a long sigh of relief, "That's good. So, Kalos… is it completely liberated?"

Bu La Ta Nuo was slightly taken aback, then smiled and patted his shoulder, "That phrase fits well. Yes, Kalos has indeed been fully liberated. Next, we must rebuild regional order and completely repair and reconstruct the destroyed Shixiang Town."

Huo La nodded, then recalled the uninvited guests from last night and asked, "What about the Rocket Team members?"

"After you fainted last night, they flew away in a helicopter; their destination is unknown."

"And the other Lysandre, the one called Fu Yi?"

"He has already been temporarily detained by us," Bu La Ta Nuo said seriously, "Currently Kalos is in ruins with no suitable detention facilities; later we will transfer him to a regular League prison for permanent custody."

"League?" Huo La raised an eyebrow slightly, surprised.

"That's right, the League," Bu La Ta Nuo Bo Shi nodded, slowly explaining, "I contacted Professor Oak early this morning. The League was also greatly shocked by Kalos's sudden situation change and its complete regional liberation."

He then shifted tone, stating the current reality: "But Professor Oak also said that the League's manpower is extremely strained now, unable to spare any personnel to aid Kalos. Hence the reconstruction and order restoration of Kalos must rely solely on us locals."

Huo La understood and nodded.

When the League was at its peak, governing the whole world, it appeared to have universal jurisdiction, but in reality, aside from a few senior executives and functional staff, the daily administration of each region was essentially maintained by local personnel.

Now, however, after successive world‑scale upheavals, the League's strength has long waned.

Given their current scale, they simply lack the capacity to simultaneously take over and manage Paldea, Alola, and Kalos.

Yet if they were to fully relinquish control and let each region self‑govern, the League still harbors reservations and cannot fully trust it, since many recent rebellions and villainous uprisings originated from local forces.

But Kalos is an exception.

Bu La Ta Nuo Bo Shi saw Huo La's thoughts and continued, "However, the League is very confident in us. This time I'm leading the Kalos reconstruction, and they have no objections whatsoever."

"You also know that Kalos's original the Elite Four, three of them followed me throughout the formation of the resistance, fighting the Flash Flame Team and protecting the region. As for the former Kalos Champion Ka Lu Ni, even though she didn't join the resistance, she remained neutral and protected the people."

"Overall, Kalos's native core forces and senior personnel have been almost untouched by Pollution."

He gazed at the ruined Shixiang Town, his tone resolute: "Therefore, Kalos is currently the region the League trusts most, needing no League oversight; we can fully handle reconstruction and order restoration on our own."
