Chapter 505: Super Ancient Island

~6 min read 1,186 words

"AZ..."

Seeing AZ suddenly push the door and walk into the office, Huo La's face showed a hint of surprise.

AZ gave a brief glance at the nearby BuLaTaNuo, offered no extra greetings, and walked straight to Huo La's side to sit down.

He reached into his coat pocket, fumbled inside for a moment, then gently spread his hand onto the desk.

Whah‑la‑la— a sudden burst of crisp, delicate clattering rang out.

Countless translucent, glittering Super Evolution Stones tumbled onto the desk, covering it densely; the various lights interlaced, dazzling to the extreme.

"This... so many Super Evolution Stones!"

Huo La's eyes widened instantly, his face full of shock.

He himself also possessed several Super Evolution Stones, but it was his first time seeing them piled up like ordinary pebbles.

Each one was a rare treasure worth a fortune, yet now they lay haphazardly on the desk, extravagantly beyond imagination.

"These are what I've collected over my thousand-year travels, piece by piece," AZ said calmly, his tone flat, "Now, I give them all to you."

Huo La clicked his tongue silently, utterly shocked inside.

Such a quantity of Super Evolution Stones, if circulated externally, would stir the entire Pokemon World, representing a fortune of astronomical value.

He stared at the crystal stones covering the table for a long while, then gently shook his head and sighed, "I can't use so many. I'll keep only a few I can use, the rest you should keep yourself."

"These days are far different from the past; everywhere needs resources and money to sustain life. These Super Evolution Stones are priceless, enough for you to travel, find companions, and live peacefully for a long time ahead."

Facing Huo La's persuasion, AZ slowly shook his head.

He looked into Huo La's eyes, where a gentle yet firm glimmer hid, bearing the clarity and release of a thousand years of vicissitudes.

"No need. I think I'm about to find him."

Huo La was slightly stunned, then a genuine surprise rose in his eyes.

"Since the Shixiang Town great battle ended, I've had a clear sense these past two days," AZ said slowly, his tone calm yet resolute, "He's right beside me, watching me all along."

"I think this thousand-year separation and waiting is about to reunite."

Huo La fell silent.

AZ is an ancient being that has lived three thousand years, already transcended ordinary human perception and limits.

This special sense spanning ages is by no means baseless.

A moment later, Huo La sincerely said, "Then congratulations, you're finally about to have your wish fulfilled, ending this long thousand-year search and waiting."

"Hmm," AZ lightly nodded, his gaze returning to the Super Evolution Stones covering the table, "For me now, these things are useless. Take them; you'll definitely be able to use them."

Huo La thought for a moment, turned to the nearby BuLaTaNuo Bo Shi, and said, "Doctor, since this is AZ's sincere intention, I'll accept. I'll only select a few that suit my own Pokemon, and the rest I'll ask you to keep safe. Carrying so many crystal stones is indeed inconvenient for me."

BuLaTaNuo instantly understood Huo La's implied meaning.

Calling it safekeeping, it actually meant tacitly allowing the League and the Kalos Faction to allocate and freely use these precious resources as needed.

He immediately nodded solemnly, "Rest assured, leave it to me; I will keep it properly and never waste these resources."

The AZ beside him quietly watched the scene, without any objection.

A thousand-year obsession dissolved; external possessions no longer bind him.

After a brief farewell with his father, BuLaTaNuo Bo Shi, and AZ, Huo La, Bilan, Xiaoyin, and Paipa each mounted the backs of the Space-Time Trio.

Following the intermittent meowing coordinate signals, Palkia stretched across the void, and a Space-Time Gate spanning dimensions slowly opened.

The four, riding the Space-Time Trio, leapt without hesitation into it.

Passing through the narrow Space-Time corridor, the scene before them suddenly shifted.

A thick, heavy White Fog instantly surged forward, completely enveloping everyone.

The whole world turned a blinding white, visibility absurdly low; not only distant scenery but even the outlines of nearby companions became indistinct.

"Damn! Huo La, what's happening? I can't see the path at all!"

Paipa instinctively raised her hand, waving continuously before her to disperse the thick fog, but the White Fog was eerily stubborn; no matter how she waved, the mist instantly refilled, having no effect at all.

Bilan also raised a hand to test, with the same result; the dense fog remained motionless, sealing the entire airspace.

She couldn't help asking, "Huo La, are you sure the coordinates are correct? This place is too strange."

Huo La raised his hand and summoned the Rotom Phone; the location marker on the screen flickered on and off, intermittently, the signal extremely unstable, yet the landing point was clear and accurate.

"The location is correct," Huo La said gravely, staring at the screen, "It's just that this sea has been sealed by mist for years, cutting off all external probes; no wonder no one has ever found this Lake Center Island in all these years."

"Then what do we do now? We have no sense of direction," Paipa said, a bit helpless.

Huo La's gaze hardened, and he immediately ordered, "Dialga, Palkia, Giratina, roar together! Let the Super Ancient Dragonite deep within the island know we've arrived."

The Space-Time Trio instantly grasped the command and almost simultaneously raised their heads and let out a long roar.

Three distinct yet equally dimension-shattering dragon roars burst forth.

The Divine Beast dragon roars intertwined, the terrifying pressure instantly swept the entire Misty Isolated Island, dispersing the surrounding restless fog, piercing layer upon layer of dense forest, straight to the island's deepest core.

After a brief silence, a distant responding dragon roar echoed from deep within the thick fog.

Equally massive and ancient, bearing the dignity of ancient dragons, yet clearly lacking vigor, weak and hoarse, exuding heavy fatigue and pain, far inferior to the Space-Time Trio's mighty momentum.

"Found it! It's in that direction!"

Huo La's eyes lit up, and he immediately commanded the Trio to sprint toward the source of the sound.

As they flew, the thick fog that had shrouded the world receded at a visible speed, instantly widening the view. An ancient island hidden in the foggy sea fully revealed itself before everyone.

The island was covered with towering trees dozens of meters high, trunks unnaturally massive, bark ancient and weathered, vegetation unlike any modern ecosystem, exuding an unmistakable ancient aura.

The group rode the Trio through layers of primeval forest, reaching the canyon region deep within the island.

On the open plain at the canyon's center, the massive Super Ancient Dragonite lay quietly on the ground.

Its wings drooped helplessly at its sides, scales mottled and damaged, breath weak, entirely lacking the domineering divine aura it once wielded at the Lighthouse, appearing especially pitiful.

Nearby on a clearing, a cluster of campfires burned quietly, the Rocket Team Trio sat around the fire, idly tending the flames, silently guarding the severely wounded Super Ancient Dragonite.
