Chapter 543: What Can I Do?

~5 min read 975 words

Sakaki said that, and Huo La's complexion instantly darkened.

Another Arceus?

Huo La felt a tidal wave of turmoil inside. It was clear that Sakaki not only knew that creature's existence, but also held more secrets than he did.

"There's no need to be so startled."

Sakaki produced a cigar, lit it, and the faint flame flickered in the quiet office.

"I've known its timeline far earlier than you."

Huo La's brows knit tighter, and an inexplicable unease rose within him.

His brief surprise and doubt a moment ago seemed crystal clear to the other side.

"Exactly, I know what you're thinking."

Sakaki, holding the cigar between his fingers, gave a faint smile and casually dropped the ash into the ashtray.

Having his thoughts completely read, Huo La instead felt calm and, with a helpless retort, said: "Your ability is absurd, being able to directly peek into someone's mind. Chatting with you, no secret can be hidden, it's really boring."

"This isn't my ability; it's Mewtwo's."

Sakaki snapped his fingers lightly.

In the darkness of the office corner, a cold light suddenly rose, and Natsume and Mewtwo's silhouettes gradually appeared, standing silently within the shadows.

Huo La turned his head; at that moment Mewtwo was cloaked in heavy black armor, its aura fierce and imposing, exuding intense Intimidation.

Having seen their forms, Huo La withdrew his gaze, stared at Sakaki, and asked with wary yet helpless tone: "Speak, where do you plan to toss me to die this time?"

Sakaki shook his head lightly, denying the guess.

"It's different. The past is the past, the present is the present."

"This time the Rocket Team captured Hoenn; I owe you this favor."

Huo La froze for a moment, then let out a wry laugh: "After all that, to put it plainly, your Rocket Team was hiding behind the scenes, easily plucking Hoenn's peach, right?"

"Plucking the peach?"

Sakaki sneered softly, his eyes sharp and dominant, exuding total control.

"This world was always meant to be under my control; I was merely too lazy to act before. Seizing Hoenn is just my first step."

He shifted his tone, with a hint of surprise: "But I truly didn't expect the League to ally with Galar and Paldea, three armies surrounding Unova and launching a direct war."

"The League allied Galar and Paldea to attack Unova?!"

Huo La's face was full of shock; he could hardly believe it.

He had been fighting to the death in Hoenn, utterly unaware of such massive external developments.

Seeing Huo La's expression, Sakaki furrowed his brow slightly, then relaxed after a moment: "I didn't think you actually didn't know. It seems the League never told you."

Having said that, he snapped his fingers again.

In the shadow on the other side of the office, his Rotom Phone drifted out slowly, hovered steadily before Huo La, its screen lit up with all the recent reports.

"First read through this intel, then we can continue."

Huo La stared at the dense latest information on the Rotom Phone, inhaled deeply, and patiently scrolled through each item.

After thoroughly reading all the messages, he finally set the phone down slowly, raised his hand and squeezed his throbbing temples, feeling utterly absurd.

"How long was I actually unconscious? How did so many chaotic things surface at once?"

"It wasn't long—at most seven days," Sakaki's voice rang out slowly, "Finished reading? What are your thoughts now?"

Huo La sighed helplessly, suppressing his inner tremor, and asked first: "How's the situation in Unova?"

He knew the Rocket Team's intel capabilities, certainly possessing the latest battle updates, even real‑time frontline footage.

Sakaki slightly pondered, replying truthfully: "Currently the League holds the upper hand. Even if Quichis and Lysandre join forces, they fight with great difficulty, unable to last long. More interesting is that this world's N has actually chosen to side with the League and lend assistance."

He added, with full confidence of control: "Anyway, Unova is bound to become my possession sooner or later."

Huo La felt a spark of insight, instantly grasping the underlying scheme.

A classic clams-and-sandpiper standoff, with the fisherman reaping the profit.

No need to think; the Rocket Team's forces had surely been covertly lurking around Unova, waiting for both sides to be exhausted, then seizing the spoils.

But for now, Unova's conflict isn't the most deadly matter.

Huo La lifted his gaze, staring straight at Sakaki, his eyes gravely heavy: "So, Arceus truly rebirthed itself using the Silver Companion Beast's body?"

Sakaki nodded calmly: "You must have seen it, the Silver Companion Beast surrounded by the Seventeen Attribute Plates. Its current power may not match Arceus's ultimate full form, but it has already surpassed the limits of ordinary Divine Beasts, far beyond any typical Legendary Pokémon."

"That Tengai Inseki that almost instant‑killed you before was merely a casual test," Sakaki said lightly. "If Mewtwo and Natsume hadn't been watching on the Hoenn Battlefield, you'd already be reduced to a puddle of meat."

A Red video that Natsume had sent flashed through Huo La's mind.

In the footage, the Silver Companion Beast was encircled by the Seventeen Attribute Plates, its demeanor cold and disdainful toward all life, radiating the lofty aura of a Creator God.

He had long suspected that Arceus would possess the Silver Companion Beast, yet when the truth lay fully before him, he still struggled to accept it.

"I'm curious. Since you already guessed Arceus would target the Silver Companion Beast, why didn't you preemptively 'protect' Gladio and the Silver Companion Beast?"

Huo La heard that and rolled his eyes helplessly.

"How to control? How to protect?"

"Even I don't know when Arceus will appear or how it will descend, so how am I supposed to defend?"

"Besides, can we even defend? That black guy couldn't be stopped; what could I possibly do?"
