Chapter 498: The Visitor from the Water Capital

Electivire had fallen, and Shen Lingyun's third Pokémon, Magnezone, posed even less of a threat to the improved Incineroar.

When Incineroar leaped high and performed an Incineroar-style Rising Dragon Fire Punch, the Magnezone, covered in burns and scorch marks, slowly fell, having lost the ability to battle.

This also signaled that the finalists for the University Cup had been completely determined.

Su Hao vs. Ning Ling.

Into whose hands would the fruit of victory fall?

At night, a group of night owls soaked in the Trainer Forum, tearing each other apart in a chaotic mess; for a time, there were many different opinions.

Quite a few people believed that there was too much shadiness in the match between the two contestants, and compared to them, the Professional-level Chandelure of the contestant Ning Ling next door didn't seem that strong anymore.

Consequently, busybody netizens directly submitted reports.

During the time the officials were processing them, the entire Trainer Forum was turned upside down.

It wasn't until the evening that this matter finally had a conclusion.

"Official Investigation Result Announcement. Mom, there are two hackers!"

1L Bai Xiaosheng:

Forwarding the official announcement: Regarding the report circulating online about whether Su Hao vs. Shen Lingyun in the University Cup semi-finals used external factors to cheat, here is the reply.

1. After investigation, the power of contestant Shen Lingyun's Electivire was not due to the use of prohibited drugs, but a blessing from a Legendary Pokémon.

2. The fact that contestant Su Hao's Incineroar was able to withstand the attack without a scratch was the effect of the special ability 【Viridian Mind】; this year's competition allows the use of special abilities, so there is no factor of cheating.

2L Bai Xiaosheng:

That's how it is, two hackers fighting like gods, everyone stop arguing.

3L Netizen:

Front row seats! Selling melon seeds, happy water, and watermelon!

4L Netizen:

I don't understand, I don't understand. How can other contestants compete on the same stage as these two hackers? One has terrifying output, the other has amazing healing. Looking at it this way, the Imperial Capital's Ning Ling's Professional-level Pokémon isn't even a rare thing.

5L Netizen:

Met a Mythical Pokémon! What an enviable encounter, is he the protagonist!?

6L Netizen:

If we're talking about a protagonist, I think contestant Su Hao is more like one. He not only possesses Viridian Mind but also the two great special abilities of Aura. Plus, he has no connection to Mythical Pokémon, yet he and Incineroar were able to defeat Shen Lingyun; what kind of treatment is this that only a protagonist would have?

18L Netizen:

Checked the poll next door, contestant Su Hao's support votes instantly crushed contestant Ning Ling's, danger!

35L Netizen:

Your Professional-level Chandelure is indeed powerful! If, and I mean if! I bring out 【Aura】 and 【Viridian Mind】 and supplement it with Incineroar, how would you respond, sir?

40L Netizen:

After the competition ends, I'm afraid the major universities won't be able to wait for the college entrance exams to start poaching people. Next year, after these three graduate from high school, the college students are going to be in trouble.

114L Netizen:

I am a sophomore at Shanghai University, my talent is average, my family background is average, and I haven't even managed to squeeze out a Professional-level combatant yet; I'm already panicking.

250L Netizen:

Magical realism; watching the match footage of two high school students fighting looks like they are about to dismantle the Ho-Oh Arena. Next year, when they enter university, I'm afraid it won't be a year or two before we see them in the University League. ===== CHAPTER 499 =====
