Chapter 413

Strength: Elite (Peak)

Carrying: Heart of Flame, Mega Stone X, Flame Gem

"Why switch Pokémon?"

Yang Tian truly did not understand; Tyranitar clearly held the type advantage and still had plenty of HP left, so why not continue the battle?

Bai Jing smiled, "We must let the Pokémon take turns, giving them more chances to fight, and Charmander is about to evolve!"

"Let us have a clash of flames!"

Yang Tian laughed, "Fine, in a contest of flames, I will not lose to you!"

"Magmar, Flamethrower!"

"We'll do it too! Flamethrower!"

Both Pokémon attacked simultaneously; the flames met in the middle and became locked in a stalemate.

"Go Magmar, do not lose this contest of flames!"

Magmar added power, pushing the flames toward Charmander.

Charmander's eyes widened, suddenly increasing its output to push back with unstoppable force!

Yang Tian was shocked, "Dodge quickly!"

Magmar cut off the flames and dodged to the side; the flames roared past Yang Tian, giving him a cold sweat.

"I didn't expect to actually lose!"

Bai Jing smiled faintly; this was natural!

Charmander was equipped with a Flame Gem, and as for potential, Magmar was nothing; they were not on the same level at all.

"We will not give up so easily!"

"Magmar, use Flame Wheel!"

Magmar curled its body and rolled toward Charmander, wreathed in flames.

"Dragon Breath!"

The Dragon Breath struck the Flame Wheel, gradually slowing it down.

While being forced to a halt, Magmar also arrived before Charmander.

"Fire Punch!"

Rising up, Magmar's fist, wrapped in flames, smashed forward!

"Cut!"

Fist met hand blade, evenly matched!

"Tackle!"

Magmar gave up the struggle and headbutted Charmander.

"Fire Fang!"

Unwilling to yield, Charmander bit down!

Flames exploded, and the two Pokémon separated!

Suddenly, a red light flashed over Charmander's body, and it showed pain.

This was the burn status!

Yang Tian laughed triumphantly, "Magmar's ability is Flame Body; opponents that make contact have a chance to be burned. Do you know why I let it engage in close combat? This is the purpose!"

"Your Charmander won't last much longer!"

Bai Jing showed no panic whatsoever, "Is that so? Then let's finish this quickly!"

"Charmander, Inferno!"

Scorching flames sprayed out, rushing toward Magmar.

"Hyper Beam!"

The two flames collided, causing a massive explosion!

Suddenly, Charmander burst out from the flames and thick smoke, its entire body wrapped in raging fire, and flashed forward to crash into Magmar.

Flare Blitz!

Yang Tian was shocked; how sudden!

It wasn't over yet!

"Dragon Ascent!"

"What?"

Yang Tian's expression changed; Charmander actually knew this move too!

"Magmar, Hyper Beam!"

The Hyper Beam was shattered by the impact; an energy dragon wrapped around Charmander pierced through the smoke and crashed into Magmar again.

The fierce momentum was unstoppable; pushing through, it exited the field and slammed into the gym's wall.

Both Pokémon fell down!

The difference was, Charmander stood up, panting!

In contrast, Magmar struggled a few times before collapsing completely.

"Magmar is unable to battle; the challenger wins!"

Yang Tian sighed, "Sigh~ I lost, but I must say this was a wonderful battle."

On the other side, Charmander was enveloped in the light of evolution.

"It finally evolved!"

As the light dispersed, the majestic Charizard appeared!
