Chapter 418

After finishing their meal, the two walked along the mountain path to Lamp Fire Mountain.

Lamp Fire Mountain is a dormant volcano... no, strictly speaking, there are no truly dead volcanoes, only dormant ones.

Because even those considered dead volcanoes could awaken at any moment.

"I heard a divine beast, the Flame Bird, nests here. Is that true?"

"It should be true, since someone has seen it!"

"Great! I also want to see the legendary divine beast. It must be majestic and extraordinary, right?"

"Uh... in terms of aura, it is indeed extraordinary. As for its appearance, I hope you won't be disappointed when you see it!"

"What do you mean? Is the Flame Bird ugly?"

"Ugly is an overstatement, but its style is a bit of a mismatch."

Deng Xin tilted her head, and three question marks appeared above her.

"Imagine a duck covered in flames; that's roughly what the Flame Bird looks like!"

"A duck?"

This vivid metaphor instantly killed Deng Xin's expectations for the Flame Bird.

Many fire-type spirits live around Lamp Fire Mountain.

There are Magma Worms, Duckbill Babies, Coal Turtles, and even Fireball Rats can be seen from time to time.

No wonder it's a secret realm; the wild environment is well protected by the state!

If this were outside, let alone starter Pokémon like Fireball Rats, even Duckbill Babies and Ponyta would be swept away.

Right now, a large group of students has gathered at Lamp Fire Mountain, for no other reason than to seek spirits.

"There are quite a few spirit species here. Won't you catch one?"

"See, I have very high requirements for a spirit's talent. And if possible, I hope to catch an Arcanine."

"Why must it be an Arcanine?"

"It's majestic and good-looking, and it's the best land mount."

"True, but I only like water-types."

"Actually, at first I thought you might like fighting-types!"

"Are you trying to insult me by calling me a tomboy?"

"No, no, absolutely not!"

"Hmph! I learned fighting moves to protect Rong'er, and my personality was shaped that way. Actually, my heart is very gentle!"

"Is that so? Your words are completely inconsistent with your behavior last night. You were so crazy..."

"Don't say it!"

"I will say it. Some tomboy is really good at twisting! Haha..."

"Ah~~ Don't run! I'll beat you up!"
