Chapter 440: The Upright Sandstorm

"Gyarados, Rock Fall!"

Gyarados stomped its foot, and a string of stones materialized above the Swift Bug's head, crashing down!

"High-Speed Movement!"

"Electric Flash!"

Its name is Swift, so the Swift Bug's speed was naturally fast.

After dodging the attack with a phantom trail, it transformed into a streak of light and slammed toward Gyarados!

"Noise!"

Gyarados let out a deafening roar—that was Bai Jing's method of countering its speed.

Sure enough, the Swift Bug had stopped a short distance from Gyarados, clutching its ears.

"Rockslide!"

While maintaining the noise, Gyarados stomped again, and even larger rocks fell, completely burying the Swift Bug.

Miao Caifeng frowned—rocks were devastatingly effective against bugs.

But this strike alone wasn't enough to defeat the Swift Bug outright.

Gyarados pressed the advantage, leaping high and crashing down with full force.

Earthquake!

"Quick, dodge!"

The Swift Bug executed a swift backflip, evading the shockwave's impact.

"Good!"

"Water Shuriken!"

Mid-air, the Swift Bug condensed water into a shuriken in its hand and hurled it downward!

It was one of only two Pokémon capable of using this move—the other one needs no introduction, does it?

Moreover, Water Shuriken deals continuous damage, striking multiple times at once.

"Gyarados, dig a hole!"

Gyarados burrowed underground; the Water Shuriken struck the hole's entrance but failed to land a hit.

"Stay alert!"

Miao Caifeng frowned—digging clearly had no effect on it.

Suddenly, the ground beneath the Swift Bug began to sink, softening and swirling.

Miao Caifeng, who had been watching the battle closely, shouted urgently: "Dodge—!"

The Swift Bug reacted swiftly, leaping aside; when it turned back, a pit had opened where it had stood.

Bai Jing frowned—the Swift Bug was too light and too fast; this move struggled to trap it.

Gyarados burst out from behind the Swift Bug and unleashed a Dark Pulse.
