Chapter 445

At this moment, the two stood before a small pond, clearly able to see a spider-type spirit moving through the water.

Drip Spider Overlord

Gender: Female

Type: Water, Bug

Ability: Bubble

Potential: Physique (C), Physical Attack (C), Physical Defense (B), Special Attack (D), Special Defense (A), Speed (D)

Rarity: Elite

Strength: Elite (Mid-stage) "Nine-One-Three"

"Very average. Apart from its passable defense, this spirit is far too lacking in every other aspect, and this Drip Spider Overlord's potential is really nothing special!"

"Still, its ability is quite practical. The Bubble ability reduces damage from Fire-type moves and also boosts the power of Water-type skills."

"And its strength is quite decent too. It's not common to find one that reaches Elite-tier in the wild—at the very least, it'll give us a fair bit of advantage in battles."

"That's the situation as it stands. You can capture it first; if we run into a better one later, swapping it out won't be too late."

Deng Xin rolled her eyes. "You make it sound like I have a lot of choices."

True enough—Water-type Bug spirits were far too rare, and finding one like this was already quite fortunate.

She immediately sent out Mosquito-Frog Emperor to battle and captured the Drip Spider Overlord.

"Alright, I doubt we'll easily find a better one. Now let's look for one that suits you."

"No rush on mine. Come with me—the Goddess of Luck just told me there's treasure ahead."

"For real?"

"You still don't trust my good luck?"

"I trust you!"

After the incident on Treasure Beach last time, Deng Xin had no choice but to believe!

A while later, the two dug up a black stone, crystal-clear like glass, with edges that looked razor-sharp.

"What is this? An item, or just an ordinary stone?"

Bai Jing's face was full of wonder. "I never expected to find this kind of stone here!"

"What? You recognize it?"

"Mm, it's called the Black Odd Stone!"

"Black Odd Stone? Never heard of it. What does it do?"

Bai Jing grinned. "Its uses are huge—it can cause a spirit to evolve, and the resulting evolution type doesn't exist anywhere in the world yet."

"Really?"

Deng Xin grew interested too. "Which spirit? What does it evolve into?"

"Do you know what Scyther can evolve into?"

"Of course—Scizor, though it needs a precious Metal Coat...."

Deng Xin understood. "You're not saying this stone can make Scyther evolve, are you?"

"Exactly—Scyther's other evolution: Axe Mantis!"

"Axe Mantis? Never heard of it!"

"I told you, it doesn't exist in this world yet!"

Bai Jing truly had never heard anything about the Hisui region in this world.

Besides, the Hisui region was the ancient name for the Sinnoh region. Though it was the same area, the ecological environments differed greatly.

By all rights, something like the Black Odd Stone should have already vanished into the river of history—how this one came to be here was a mystery.

Perhaps one day a secret realm from the Hisui region would appear?

"Then what does it look like? Is it powerful?"

"Hard to describe—about the same as Scizor, just a different evolution path."

"Then let's find a Scyther and evolve it to see?"

"Sure, this stone only has that one use anyway. Besides, I want to wander around a bit more and see if we can dig up any more treasures like this."

So the two set their target—Scyther.
