Chapter 490

The Magikarp King emerged from the other side, firing a "9-3-7" water shockwave — getting hit would throw you into confusion.

"Dodge it!"

Pokesbis swooped aside, dodging with ease.

Well then — Pokesbis couldn't deal with the Magikarp King in the water, and the Magikarp King couldn't deal with Pokesbis in the air.

Bai Jing muttered, "Picked the wrong Pokémon!"

He'd meant to let Pokesbis get used to battle, but forgot it wasn't suited to a water field.

If he swapped it out now, it would probably deal a blow to its confidence.

Forget it — time to fight on the counterattack!

Wang Yang was troubled too. Water-types weren't good against Flying-types either, but as a Gym Leader, he couldn't just drag this out against a challenger forever, could he?

Since the opponent wouldn't come down, he'd have to take the initiative!

"Magikarp King, use Waterfall!"

A curtain of water shot skyward. Pokesbis hastily dodged, while the Magikarp King rapidly climbed the water curtain and launched itself through the air to ram into them.

"Horn Drill!"

This move was a one-hit KO technique!

"I've been waiting for this moment!"

A fish coming up into the air to fight for dominance — isn't that just asking to die?

"Pokesbis, Extreme Speed!"

Pokesbis weaved aside from the lethal strike in a flash, then in the next instant slammed into the Magikarp King and sent it flying.

Naturally, Bai Jing wouldn't let slip this chance to beat a drowning dog!

"Moonblast!"

A pink energy ball fired out and struck the Magikarp King dead-on!

"Again — Extreme Speed!"

Pokesbis swiftly got beneath the Magikarp King and slammed it skyward once more, not giving it a chance to return to the water.

Wang Yang's brow furrowed deeply. He understood the opponent wanted to seize the moment and finish off the Magikarp King in one go.

"It won't be that easy!"

"Magikarp King, use Aqua Ring!"

Covering its body in a layer of water veil that continuously restored stamina — this was a very practical endurance move.

"This is getting troublesome!"

"Pokesbis, launch a fierce assault!"

"Psychic!"

"Air Cutter!"

"Extreme Speed!"

"Dazzling Gleam!"

"Wave Bomb!"

Under the relentless barrage, the Magikarp King — whose recovery couldn't keep up with the damage — finally had spirals in its eyes and plunged back into the water…...

"The Magikarp King is unable to battle. Qingguanzhu Sect Leader, please send out your second Pokémon!"

Expressionless, Wang Yang recalled the Magikarp King and released his second Pokémon.

"Go, Wingull!"

But who would have thought Bai Jing would recall Pokesbis.

Wang Yang's eye twitched — this guy wouldn't send out an Electric-type 1.6 to disgust people, would he?

Of course not — Bai Jing really didn't have any Electric-type Pokémon. What came out was Noivern.
