Chapter 610

~3 min read 450 words

Bai Jing did not rush to leave; he stopped in midair to watch this conflict.

The Hammerhead Dragon roared and charged forward with its large head lowered.

Metal luster flashed across the City-Protecting Dragon's body; it unleashed Iron Wall to boost its defense and endured the opponent's collision head-on.

One attacked, one defended; the two Pokémon engaged in a fierce battle.

Judging by its fighting style, the Hammerhead Dragon was a berserk warrior—nothing but offense, nothing but offense, driven by a determination not to stop until the opponent was felled.

By comparison, the City-Protecting Dragon stood as steady as an old dog; for most of the time it was on defense, a survival skill born of loyalty, but defense did not mean it was docile!

The City-Protecting Dragon was adept at seizing opportunities; once it felt the timing was right, it would launch an attack, and most times it succeeded, leaving the Hammerhead Dragon with no choice but to swallow its defeat, enraging the opponent until it leaped in fury and grew even more frantic!

Yet although the Hammerhead Dragon was berserk and short-tempered, that did not make it a fool; it clearly knew the City-Protecting Dragon's weakness. Relying on its greater agility, it would sometimes strike unexpectedly, circling around to attack the City-Protecting Dragon's flank or even its rear.

The City-Protecting Dragon's large face was its strongest defense, capable of blocking any attack from the front; once an opponent managed to circle behind it, it was helpless.

The armor was still not perfect; during evolution it had focused only on thickening its tough hide, neglecting the rest of its body. This would not do!

The battle's outcome was that both sides fell at the same time, ending in a draw.

The injuries on the Hammerhead Dragon were secondary; it had simply exhausted itself, for who else would keep outputting attacks like that?

The City-Protecting Dragon, however, had been ambushed from behind several times; each strike was devastating, and the injuries were so severe it could not stand.

With both leaders down, the two tribes showed no sign of panic; they slowly approached their respective leaders, intending to carry them back.

Clearly, this was not the first conflict between the two tribes, nor the first clash between the two leaders; they were all accustomed to it!

But just then, two objects fell from above, drawing their leaders inside.

Both tribes were stunned. What were these things? Where had their leaders gone?

Pokémon from the ancient era could not be expected to recognize Poké Balls, a product of technology.

Then, under their gaze, the two Poké Balls floated upward; their eyes followed the movement, discovering Bai Jing and the Whiscash above.
