Chapter 746

Singles tests a trainer's command and reaction ability; doubles tests the coordination and chemistry between two trainers.

At the same time, the type matchup of the Pokémon is also very important!

"Since I have time now, I'll go take a look around the type zones and register along the way."

Generally speaking, after registering on the same day, the earliest you get scheduled for a match is the next day.

As for the previous few times, Bai Jing had relied entirely on flirting with the young lady at the front desk to squeeze himself into same-day matches—one had to say this was a skill in itself.

Apart from the main arena, the type zone is the largest of the several zones, because it is divided into eighteen smaller zones, corresponding to the eighteen types.

"Which type should I pick?"

After hesitating for a while, he chose the Psychic zone.

"It's time to make the name of the Psychic Empress ring out. 「!"

If we're talking about star Pokémon, is there anything more fitting than Gardevoir? Moreover, his own Gardevoir was an aberrant one, so it would only be more popular!

After flirting with the young lady at the front desk, he registered and walked out.

After thinking it over, he walked into the Bug zone and registered as well.

"It's about time!"

He went to the free-for-all zone to pick up Yingying after her shift.

"Where are we going?"

Yingying took the initiative to loop her arm through Bai Jing's, her face full of excitement and anticipation.

"Let's eat first. I have another match tonight, and after that I'll take you out for some fun!"

"You're terrible!"

Her mouth said "terrible," but her heart did not resist!

After finishing a lavish dinner, the two were still not satisfied, so they found a quiet spot and started eating tofu.

It was only after seven o'clock that they arrived at the doubles arena.

"Next, please welcome our contestants to the stage!"

"First up is the contestant Ghost Cat, who has already won one match!"

A woman with a sultry figure, wearing a mask on her face, walked out with cat-like steps.

Her flirtatious appearance made the audience shout and holler, with whistles nonstop!

"Next is the contestant making his first-ever appearance in doubles competition, a complete rookie—Bai Jing!"

"Boo~~"

The audience was all booing!

A sexy woman versus a smelly man—naturally they'd choose to support the woman, and besides, most of the audience had bet on Ghost Cat to win.

Bai Jing paid no heed to their jeers and raised his middle finger in retaliation.

Yingying in the stands giggled behind her hand!

Yes, Bai Jing had taken the field under his own name, without donning the Great Demon King's alias—including the earlier free-for-all match as well.

Let the mysterious Great Demon King sweep through the main arena; he'd just enjoy himself to the fullest in the other arenas.

"What a handsome little brother. It's your bad luck running into me on your first match, but don't worry—sister will make it up to you!"

"Oh? Can you make it up in the flesh?"

"Go for it!"

"¨〃Go for it!"

"Go for it!"

The audience egged them on one after another—they just couldn't stand a peaceful scene, the more stimulating the better!

Ghost Cat was finding it hard to back down now!

"Little brother, you're so naughty!"

"Sister, you're so slutty!"

The audience burst into laughter—this kid spoke the words on our minds, not bad, not bad!

Behind the mask, Ghost Cat's face darkened. This kid's mouth was so cheap, so infuriating!

"Ahem~~ Looks like there's always a higher mountain, and neither contestant is a pushover!"

"Let's set aside the battle of tongues and begin the battle on the field!"

The referee stepped in. "Please have both contestants release their participating Pokémon!"

Ghost Cat released Persian and Mimikyu.

No wonder she's called Ghost Cat, and this combination really is quite good!

Persian is a Normal-type, weak to Fighting and immune to Ghost.

Mimikyu's Ghost plus Fairy typing can nicely offset Persian's weakness.

What Bai Jing sent out was Garchomp and Tyranitar.

The type matchup between the two was also quite good!

Garchomp is four-times weak to Ice, and Tyranitar can cover that weakness.

It's not that Bai Jing couldn't put together a better golden combination; it's just that there's no need—Garchomp and Tyranitar are more than enough to handle any opponent!
