Chapter 240

Because it lacked new support,

it was like a fallen chopstick,

dropping rapidly from the sky.

"Boom!"

The half-meter-thick giant ice pillar descended from the sky, crashing onto the ice surface.

It emitted a booming sound.

Afterward, this ice pillar shattered completely, forming chunks of ice.

"Swampert, take this opportunity, Surf!"

Wang Shizhong said.

Swampert used all its strength to hammer its fists against the ground.

Instantly, the ice shattered, revealing the river beneath the ice surface.

Then, blue Water-type energy surged on Swampert's body.

A massive wave rose from the ground.

The giant wave was five or six meters high, rolling toward the Articuno not far away.

It surged with unstoppable momentum, wanting to swallow Articuno whole.

"Continue with Ice Beam!"

Facing the incoming giant wave, Articuno remained completely calm.

Another icy blue ray shot out from its mouth.

The icy blue Ice Beam struck the incoming giant wave in the blink of an eye.

Afterward, the wave, which had been surging with such momentum, froze instantly in place.

The Surf attack stopped halfway, frozen where it stood.

Then, the freezing continued along the wake of the wave, extending toward Swampert.

This time, because Swampert had destroyed the ice surface and stirred up the water,

it was caught right in the flow of water.

Consequently, the freezing ice that followed instantly covered its entire body completely.

Swampert became an ice sculpture in an instant.

"Use Icicle Spear."

Su Yu calmly issued the command.

Articuno flapped its wings.

Several giant icicles formed rapidly in front of it.

It flapped its wings again, and three icicles flew out directly.

"Bang!"

The first icicle shattered the ice covering Swampert,

crashing into its body.

Then, the second and third icicles struck it in succession.

Having just recovered from the frozen state, it had no ability to block these attacks.

Because of this, Swampert was knocked flying by the three icicles.

"Bang!"

The knocked-back Swampert fell to the ground.

It lost consciousness instantly.

【Articuno defeated Swampert and gained 6600 experience points!】

Every one of Articuno's moves was a terrifying skill capable of knocking it out instantly.

Seeing his main Pokémon being defeated one after another,

Wang Shizhong felt somewhat dazed.

He never would have imagined

that the freshman he encountered

would possess such strength!

By now, he had already accepted the result of his defeat.

At this point, there was no way for him to turn the tables.

However, Wang Shizhong still chose to use his final Pokémon to struggle a bit.

This was his roar against fate.

If there is a Zhou Yu, why must there be a Zhuge Liang?

If not for Su Yu, he, Wang Shizhong, would definitely have been the brightest new star of these past few years!

Yet, even though he was very powerful now,

he was still not worth mentioning in front of Su Yu.

Therefore, Wang Shizhong brought out his final Pokémon.

It was a level 53 Exploud.

Its large mouth and the various openings on its body

could transmit massive amounts of sound.

Exploud used these organs to amplify its voice to conduct attacks.

Exploud's blood-red maw, paired with its sturdy arms, looked very terrifying.

"Exploud, use Boomburst!"

Wang Shizhong immediately issued the command.

On the field, Exploud began to roar loudly upon hearing the order.

Its large mouth produced noisy sounds.

The tubes on its body spread these sounds out.

Instantly, the entire arena was covered!

"Buzz, buzz, buzz!!"

The massive noise spread all around.

And Articuno was instantly affected by the sound waves.

The sound reached its ears, launching a sonic attack against Articuno.

"Coo!!"

Articuno felt a headache.

Seeing this, Wang Shizhong was instantly overjoyed.

This was the first time his Pokémon's attack had been effective.

"Exploud, use Boomburst!"

【Boomburst: An attack that uses the destructive power of a deafening explosion to strike all Pokémon around the user.】

Boomburst is a move with extremely high power.

It deals massive damage to all Pokémon with hearing in the vicinity.

However, because Exploud has the Soundproof ability, it is not affected by this attack.

If Boomburst were released by Exploud, even Articuno would not have an easy time.

Exploud pounded its body, preparing to launch its ultimate move, Boomburst.

"Articuno, use Sheer Cold!!"

Articuno shook its head in the air,

recovering from the sonic bombardment just now.

Although that move didn't deal much damage, it made it very uncomfortable.

Because of this, when Su Yu ordered it to use the Ice-type ultimate move Sheer Cold, it executed the command without hesitation.

【Sheer Cold: A move that knocks out the opponent in one hit.】

That's right, Sheer Cold is a one-hit knockout move!

If this move hits, as long as the target's level is lower than the user's, it will be knocked out instantly!
