Chapter 70

It was exactly the Water-type Pokémon, Corphish.

When Li Le saw Su Yu's Aron, he felt a joy in his heart.

Because Water-type is super effective against Rock-type Aron!

"Corphish, use Bubble Beam."

As long as Bubble Beam hits Aron, it will definitely be super effective!

Corphish raised a pincer, and countless bubbles flew out from it.

Like a bubble rain.

"Aron, use Dig to avoid the attack."

Su Yu naturally wouldn't let Aron take it head-on.

Aron burrowed into the ground, and after the Bubble Beam passed, only a hole remained.

Facing Aron, whose whereabouts were unknown, Corphish looked around cautiously.

"Aron, use Headbutt to rush out!"

In the competition field, a vibration suddenly came from under Corphish's feet.

Subsequently, a white figure drilled out from the ground, and its head slammed hard into Corphish.

"Xia!"

Corphish flew out instantly.

"Don't let it land, use Rock Tomb!"

【Rock Tomb: Throws rocks to attack. Seals the opponent's movement, thereby lowering speed.】

Broken stones on the ground flew to Aron's side.

It let out a roar, and all the stones flew out.

They lunged at Corphish, who was in the sky.

Li Le had no way to deal with this at all and could only watch as Corphish was hit by all the rocks.

When Corphish fell down, its eyes were already spinning, and it had lost its ability to battle.

【Aron defeated Corphish, gained 180 experience points!】

"Please have contestant Li Le send out the next Pokémon."

Li Le threw out a Poké Ball, a verdant figure, shaped like a trumpet.

It was exactly Bellsprout.

"Aron, use Sandstorm to turn the field into sand!"

This time, Su Yu chose to let Aron strike first.

With the activation of the Sandstorm move, flying sand rose on the plain field.

Not only did it block the sight of the trainers outside, but it also caused continuous damage to the Pokémon in the sandstorm.

"Aron, get close and use Metal Claw!"

【Metal Claw: Slashes the opponent with steel claws. Sometimes increases one's own attack.】

In the mist, one could only vaguely see the figures of the Pokémon.

Li Le heard Su Yu's command; although he was very worried about Bellsprout, he didn't know how to command at all.

"Bellsprout, be alert!"

However, the Sandstorm field was Aron's advantage!

Therefore, Aron in the sandstorm walked almost straight toward Bellsprout.

Because of the wind and sand constantly rising in the sandstorm, Bellsprout didn't know how to defend at all.

When Aron came toward Bellsprout carrying huge energy, it hadn't realized what had happened yet.

"Aron!"

Aron slashed at the bewildered Bellsprout with one claw.

This attack, like a hot knife through butter, sent Bellsprout flying directly.

Under the influence of the wind and sand, Bellsprout even flew further.

The dust in the field dissipated, and Bellsprout was already lying on the ground.

【Aron defeated Bellsprout, gained 100 experience points!】

【Aron has sufficient experience, leveled up to 18, learned the move: Protect!】

"Bellsprout is unable to battle, please have contestant Li Le send out the next Pokémon."

The referee also announced in time.

Finally, when Li Le took out his third Pokémon, Diglett, he had completely given up hope.

Facing a Pokémon like Aron, Diglett had no chance of winning at all.

The facts were indeed so; Diglett couldn't even last two moves in front of Aron!

Aron first used Dig to pop Diglett out, then took it away directly with a Rock Tomb.

【Aron defeated Diglett, gained 80 experience points!】

"Diglett lost its ability to battle, contestant Li Le's three Pokémon were defeated, so the winner is Su Yu!"

In the first round of the competition, Su Yu's opponents were basically very weak.

Their main Pokémon were all between level 13-17.

As for the other Pokémon, they were all Pokémon around level 10.

Compared to the main ones, they were much weaker.

There was no way around this; they couldn't grind levels for their Pokémon like Su Yu, so their Pokémon's strength grew relatively slowly.

And because of this, in the first round of the qualifiers, Su Yu just bullied the weak all the way, winning streak after winning streak!

【Aron defeated Beedrill, gained 180 experience points!】

【Aron defeated Scyther, gained 150 experience points!】

【Grovyle defeated Eevee, gained 140 experience points!】

【Vulpix defeated Quilava, gained 120 experience points!】

【Vulpix defeated Marshtomp, gained 150 experience points!】

【Vulpix has sufficient experience, leveled up to Lv14!】

【Vulpix learned a new move, Icy Wind!】

On this day, Su Yu won all the way, never tasting defeat.

On this day, Su Yu successfully let all the freshmen know what a Great Demon King is!

If anyone thought.

That Aron and Grovyle were Su Yu's main force.

Su Yu would directly take out his Combusken and Luxio, whose strength was already reaching level 30.

To tell them what a real main Pokémon is!

With Combusken and Luxio as a safety net, Su Yu would never fail.

However, the strength of these opponents was really too weak.

Su Yu's Combusken and Luxio didn't even have a chance to appear.

And because of this, Su Yu became one of the only two undefeated qualifiers among the freshmen.

When the day's competition ended, Su Yu and Ren Yun and the others prepared to go to the cafeteria to eat.

"Su Yu, you are truly amazing!" Ren Yun gave Su Yu a thumbs up.

"That's right, you didn't look at the school forum, now everyone is saying you are a favorite to win the championship." Yu Xing also excitedly patted Su Yu on the shoulder.

He had a smile on his face; those who didn't know would think he had won all his matches today.

Although Su Yu won all his matches, Ren Yun and Yu Xing were quite miserable.

They didn't have Su Yu's strength, so naturally, they had wins and losses in the qualifiers.

It's a pity that they won and lost half-and-half, and tragically drowned in the qualifiers.

In 408, only Su Yu and Xu Junmin successfully advanced to the top 64.

"But I think Su Yu still needs to be a little careful."

Xu Junmin said with a frown.
