Chapter 97

【Potential: Elite】

【Individual Values: HP (22), Attack (24), Special Attack (15), Defense (21), Special Defense (23), Speed (20)】

【Moves: Scratch, Leer, Quick Attack, Fury Cutter... Slash】

【Description: It has been fighting Seviper for several generations. Its sharp claws are its strongest weapon.】

It was Zangoose, the natural enemy of Seviper.

At this moment, the Zangoose, covered in white fur, was standing by the river, drinking water quietly.

Su Yu released Combusken and walked over.

Sensing someone approaching, Zangoose cast a wary gaze.

"Zangoose, come and battle me."

Su Yu said.

Since Zangoose hadn't attacked him directly before, he didn't want to launch a surprise attack either.

So he chose to step forward and challenge it directly.

Zangoose has always been a rather combative Spirit.

Coupled with its fierce appearance, it looked even more menacing.

Seeing someone challenge it, Zangoose naturally accepted immediately.

It then moved to the side, got down on all fours, and assumed a battle stance.

"Very well, let's go, Combusken! Use Agility and then Fire Punch!"

"Chamo!" Combusken nodded, then turned into a blur and quickly vanished from its spot.

Seeing its enemy disappear, Zangoose didn't panic and hurriedly used its nose to sniff for a scent.

As a feline, its mastery of scent was naturally very proficient.

Soon, it smelled Combusken's scent in the air to its right.

Zangoose's internal alarm bells rang, its body glowed with white light, and it narrowly used Quick Attack to dodge Combusken's scorching punch.

Although many wild Spirits lack a Trainer's command, their grasp of combat is not poor at all.

This is a habit they have developed from fighting in the wild year-round.

"Impressive." Su Yu's eyes lit up at the sight.

He prepared to respond seriously as well.

At this moment, Zangoose, having dodged Combusken's attack, also revealed a fierce expression.

The sharp claws on its paws emitted a cold glint, white light flared up, and it launched a counterattack directly at Combusken.

It was using the move Slash!

【Slash: Slashes the opponent with hard, sharp claws to attack.】

"Swish, swish."

The claws slashed continuously toward the Combusken in front of it.

However, Combusken was already fast, and with the boost from its Speed Boost ability after the first round,

its speed increased even further.

Zangoose's sharp claws were dodged by Combusken.

"Combusken, use Sand Attack."

Combusken thrust its claws into the dirt beneath it and then flung it violently forward.

Zangoose, still pouncing over, was hit directly in the face by the sand.

"You!"

The sand got into Zangoose's eyes, making it unable to help but close them.

Zangoose also used its claws to wipe its eyes.

"Now is the time, Combusken, rush up and use Mega Punch!"

Strike while the iron is hot; facing the vulnerable Zangoose, Combusken quickly closed the distance.

Then, its fist glowed with white light, radiating an astonishing aura.

With one punch, Combusken sent Zangoose flying into mid-air.

"Jump up and use Double Kick!"

Combusken coiled its legs and leaped into the sky.

Arriving in front of Zangoose, Combusken swung its powerful legs.

"Bang!"

Two kicks sent Zangoose crashing to the ground.

Fighting-type moves can deal double damage to Zangoose, and after taking a Double Kick with decent power,

Zangoose collapsed to the ground.

【Combusken defeated Zangoose and gained 380 experience points!】

【Combusken has sufficient experience and leveled up to Lv26!】

"Well done, Combusken."

Seeing Combusken's victory, Su Yu praised it.

"Chamo." Combusken nodded in response.

Su Yu walked over, gave Zangoose a simple treatment, and released it back into the woods.

If he left it here, it would very likely be killed by its mortal enemy, Seviper.

After all, as his own experience baby, based on the principle of sustainable development, Su Yu still had to handle the aftermath.

Next, Su Yu continued to wander nearby, taking Combusken to look for other Spirits.

Unlike the Pengwan Secret Realm Su Yu visited at the beginning,

the Spirits here, both in level and strength,

were much stronger than those in the Pengwan Secret Realm.

One can only say it lives up to being a B-tier Secret Realm.

Moreover, the Spirits here were also quite aggressive.

As soon as Su Yu approached, some Spirits would launch attacks directly.

【Combusken defeated Raticate and gained 400 experience points!】

【Combusken defeated Sentret and gained 420 experience points!】

【Combusken has sufficient experience and leveled up to Lv27!】

【Combusken has sufficient level and learned the new move Bounce!】

After helping Combusken level up once more, Su Yu decided to leave directly and continue toward his destination.

"Awoo." After mounting Luxio, Luxio let out a roar.

Then, it moved its powerful limbs and began to run.

Along the way, Su Yu's extreme speed startled many birds.

Su Yu spent the entire afternoon traveling.

The destination was no longer far, and Su Yu estimated he would arrive tomorrow.

However, as Su Yu ventured deeper, the strength of the Spirits here began to grow stronger and stronger.

Every now and then, he would encounter some level 30 Spirits.

Arriving at a plain, Su Yu had Luxio dig a cave.

Given the current situation, a cave was much safer than lying directly on the plain.

With nothing to do at night, Su Yu prepared to continue leveling up his Spirits.

This time, he prepared to send out Aron.

Because Aron's level was still somewhat low.

Su Yu decided to have it consume the Secret Treasure he had obtained earlier.

At first, Su Yu felt Aron's foundation wasn't solid enough, so he didn't let it consume the Secret Treasure.

Instead, he trained it for a period of time first.

Looking at it now, the time should be about right.

It was time for Aron to consume the Secret Treasure.
