Chapter 33
The aggressive Hairy Crab is covered in frost-resistant white fur, likely inspired by snowmen from snowy mountains.
It is a Fighting/Ice-type Pokémon, typically found on remote snowy peaks—such as the Frosty Peak in the Paldea region, where traces of its habitat have been observed.
Under certain unknown conditions, the Hairy Crab’s fist-like claws naturally detach, and these claws are several times more delicious than those lost in battle.
At the time, Luo Mu and Litten had followed the Aromatisse and picked up a pair of these claws.
Though both Luo Mu and Litten recalled the joy of sudden fortune, they did not rush to compete with the Aromatisse for the claws.
It wasn’t that they wished to be gentlemen and avoid being opportunists—it was because beside the abandoned Hairy Crab claws, something usually lurked...
Luo Mu and Litten crouched silently in the shrubbery, watching as the Aromatisse first sniffed the claws with its peach-colored nose, its jet-black face twisting into a visibly ecstatic expression.
The Aromatisse glanced left and right, confirming no other creature was eyeing the claws; its eyes gleamed faintly as it leisurely licked its own fur and dirt from its peach-colored hooves.
The Aromatisse intended to devour the first claw in the most elegant, dashing manner, then carry the second away to court a female.
At that moment, from the shrubbery beside the claws—a pair of massive claws, nearly identical in appearance but noticeably newer than the ones on the ground—slipped soundlessly from the foliage, while the Aromatisse remained blissfully absorbed in preparing itself for its meal, utterly unaware.
Luo Mu and Litten still made no move.
This was a wild Pokémon conflict—he generally observed such encounters passively.
Only occasionally, when the mood struck, would he intervene.
The Hairy Crab’s fists drew closer to the Aromatisse; whether from impatience or overconfidence, ice formed over its knuckles within seconds—it clearly intended to end the fight with a single Ice Punch.
Yet it was the chilling frost aura that jolted the Aromatisse awake just before impact.
The Aromatisse shrieked in terror, throwing its body down with all its strength—the Hairy Crab’s heavy but slow punch narrowly missed its scalp.
The cold froze a patch of frost onto the Aromatisse’s head; it let out a pained cry and bolted without hesitation.
Its powerful limbs provided ample speed and power, and in the blink of an eye, the Aromatisse vanished.
The Hairy Crab slowly glanced at its missed punch, then reluctantly retreated into the shrubbery to wait for its next prey.
“That’s enough...”
Luo Mu’s voice was low, but as he and Litten rose from the shrubbery, they made no effort to conceal their intent—the Hairy Crab immediately noticed.
The Hairy Crab thought today was its lucky day—two more prey had come so quickly.
As usual, it crouched in the shrubbery, waiting for Luo Mu and Litten to approach.
Suddenly, countless dazzling light points surfaced beneath the Hairy Crab; within a few breaths, the points had thickened into a radiant column of light.
From afar, a brilliant beam of light shot up from the mountain’s mid-slope, impossible to miss.
“So suddenly!?”
Luo Mu and Litten halted, exchanged a glance, and stood still.
The light column lasted only a few seconds before fading, revealing the Hairy Crab in its Terastallized form, leaning against a glittering, crystalline Terastallization crystal, its fists swinging with fierce energy, feeling its body brimming with power.
Above the Hairy Crab’s head, a Terastallization Crown formed, and within it, a massive fist of Terastallized energy materialized—Fighting-type Terastallization!
At that moment, the Hairy Crab felt its strength unprecedented, and feared nothing!
“Meow!”
Litten suddenly meowed at Luo Mu’s glowing pocket.
Luo Mu looked into his pocket, pulled out the Terastallization Pearl glowing with a mysterious aura, and murmured: “Charged...”
He blinked, silently mourned the Hairy Crab for a second, then declared without hesitation: “Terastallize, Litten!”
As he spoke, Litten stepped forward, facing the Hairy Crab; the Terastallization Pearl Luo Mu threw burst into light above Litten’s head, pouring out Terastallized energy.
The crystal enveloped Litten, then shattered into glittering shards—with a crisp snap—Litten emerged, its body gleaming like a cut gemstone, roaring at the crescent moon hanging overhead, its overwhelming pressure sending all bird Pokémon nesting in the trees into frantic flight.
Above Litten’s mighty head, the Terastallization Crown bore a massive lightbulb.
Terastallized type... Electric!
The Hairy Crab sensed danger the moment Litten roared; its bloodlust instantly cooled, and though it wanted to flee, the Terastallization crystal behind it, still radiating Terastallized energy, trapped it within the saturated zone.
The Hairy Crab’s eyes widened in frozen terror, raised its fists as if to surrender.
Luo Mu chuckled at its antics; though he wanted to say, “Are you kidding me right now?” he held his tongue and simply ordered: “Thunderbolt!”
Golden lightning writhed like a furious serpent, amplified by Terastallized energy, tearing through the air and engulfing both the Hairy Crab and the crystal behind it.
Instantly, blinding golden light illuminated half the sky.
“We’ll take these claws—no need to refuse.”
Luo Mu suppressed his urge to drool, clutching the pair of massive Hairy Crab claws to his chest like treasure.
Litten, seeing his pitiful state, could only shake its head in resignation—though it ignored the glistening drool seeping from its own mouth.
The Hairy Crab’s injuries and paralysis had been fully treated by Luo Mu after it exited Terastallization.
It lay quietly beside the shrubbery, enjoying baby-like sleep.
The Terastallization crystal vanished as swiftly as it had appeared.
Normally, Terastallization crystals forming randomly in Paldea lasted an entire day before dissolving.
But the Hairy Crab’s Terastallization, Litten’s Terastallization, and Luo Mu’s fully recharged Terastallization Pearl had drained all Terastallized energy from the crystal.
Without Terastallized energy, the crystal naturally disappeared.
“Meow.”
Litten picked up two fragments of the shattered crystal and placed them in Luo Mu’s hand.
“Thank you.” Luo Mu took the fragments, examined them closely—sure enough, they were Fighting-type Terastallization shards.
But looking at them made his liver ache—he remembered the endless nights he’d spent grinding six-star Terastallization pits back when Pokémon Scarlet and Violet launched, just to change his Terastallization type.
