Chapter 351: Departure, Setting Off for the Galar Region!
A moment later.
Having its nap interrupted, the Moltres returned to the ground looking outwardly righteous but inwardly extremely guilty.
What other choice did it have?
Compared to its past life in the wild, where it had to worry daily about which volcano to grace with its presence and fight wild Pokémon within just to claim territory...
Life on the farm not only provided unlimited food, but every Pokémon here was a talent; it loved this place immensely.
Having assimilated into the farm's leisurely environment, what fault was that of its own?
Looking at the Moltres holding its head high, showing none of the arrogance and sharp edges from their first meeting, Luo Mu sighed helplessly.
He plainly explained that he would be leaving for a few days, and since he needed Dragonite's flight speed, the task of guarding the Corviknight from potential attacks by the Tinkaton family fell solely to it.
Luo Mu had expected that after hearing this, the Moltres would either accept the mission with great enthusiasm or, at the very least, declare with imposing momentum that the Corviknight were its underlings, far beyond what some mere "Giant Hammer Loli" could bully.
But he never expected that after hearing his instructions...
The Moltres's first reaction was a face full of shock mixed with ninety percent, nay, one hundred percent disbelief.
Moltres: Σ(°△°|||)︴
I have to wake up at six or seven in the morning!?
I don't want that kind of thing!
At least let me sleep one more hour!
Luo Mu looked utterly speechless: "What if your two siblings see you like this?"
"Gua gua gua!"
Mimicking a parrot, the Moltres curled its lip; that irritable, frizzy bird who only knew how to discharge electricity all day and that vain bird it suppressed were not its siblings.
The Moltres considered itself a dignified Legendary Pokémon; what was wrong with sleeping a little?
If those two dared to mock it, it would just teach them a lesson and be done with it.
If not for the worry of missing daily breakfast, it could completely sleep from sunset to sunrise, and then take a nap from sunrise back to sunset.
It would be even better if there were a large bed filled with magma.
Not that large birdhouse hanging from the eaves, which humans usually only bring out to provide shelter from wind and rain for wild Pokémon living in cities, completely unworthy of its noble status.
However, facing Luo Mu, who held absolute power over its diet, no matter how stubborn the Moltres was, it could only yield like a snake grabbed by its vital spot, accepting this temporary mission.
"Alright, alright, when I return from the Wang Guan Snowfield, I'll prepare something delicious for you; it seems there's a special kind of radish over there... I'll stew some soup for you then."
Patting the Moltres, which looked as aggrieved as a young bride bullied by her in-laws, Luo Mu unchangedly painted a big, round pie of empty promises for it.
It had to be said, the Moltres bought into this completely.
Its mood instantly shifted from cloudy to sunny; standing tall and proud, it declared that this mission belonged to no one but itself, and whether it was Tinkaton or some giant-slaying move, one blast of fire from it, the Moltres, would make all those demons and monsters retreat three leagues!
After assigning the mission to the Moltres and painting his empty promises, Luo Mu ran successively to the farming zone, the pasture zone, and the lake zone to notify the Pokémon that he was preparing to leave for the Wang Guan Snowfield.
Considering the extremely cold climate of the Wang Guan Snowfield and the unusually high density of Legendary Pokémon gathered within...
Such as the Galarian Moltres, Zapdos, and Articuno living near that great tree; the Regice, Registeel, Regirock, Regidrago, and Regieleki within the ruins; the Lei Guan Wang atop the Wangguanshendian; and the Spectrier and Glastrier roaming freely in the Wang Guan Snowfield.
To be on the safe side, while notifying each Pokémon individually, Luo Mu also brought along a portion of his main force Pokémon and some non-main force Pokémon.
Although Lei Guan Wang was a Grass-type Legendary Pokémon, and though it was somewhat regrettable, after comprehensive consideration, Luo Mu did not bring Serperior on this trip.
The primary reason was that the Wang Guan Snowfield was not only covered in heavy snow year-round but also frequently blocked from sunlight for long periods due to thick stratiform clouds.
After all, Serperior was a snake-like Pokémon.
The freezing environment was already very unfavorable for it, let alone the fact that the sunlight Serperior needed to gather solar energy was often obscured.
Although it was regrettable, places suitable for Serperior were clearly tropical southern climates like Alola, or the spring and summer seasons here in Paldea.
By the time Luo Mu returned home, his waist was already hung full of Poké Balls.
As always, Luo Mu asked Oranguru to help handle some daily tasks during his absence.
Fortunately, the farm was now running stably; the only things Oranguru needed to worry about were preparing the Tapu Tapu Moumou milk and sheep milk every morning and the Pokémon's three daily meals.
In other areas, the Pokémon had already been able to independently transform the farm's various tedious tasks into modular units and operate them independently.
Oranguru also revealed a reliable and wise smile, gently patting its chest, as its telepathy rang out: "Young Master need not worry; my job is to resolve troubles for you, perform support duties well, and allow you the energy to do what you wish."
Afternoon, July 30th.
Riding on Dragonite's back, Luo Mu confirmed their orientation using a map and his phone's navigation, after which Dragonite picked up speed, flying toward another region connected by the Paldean sea: the Galar region.
Near dusk, Dragonite landed smoothly in the suburbs of a quiet small town in the southern part of the Galar region.
This small town was named Postwick, a necessary stop when taking a flying taxi to the Wang Guan Snowfield.
Although Postwick itself was not particularly famous in the Galar region for its size or prosperity, it was not only the location of Professor Magnolia's Pokémon Laboratory...
But also, not far from Postwick lay Wedgehurst, the hometown of Galar's most famous Trainer, the undefeated Champion Dan Di, who reportedly had never lost a single official battle since his debut.
In the Galar region, all Trainers took Dan Di as their goal, and even Wedgehurst had been endowed with a special halo in their eyes.
Indeed, many Trainers chose to travel by vehicle to Postwick, the necessary passage to Wedgehurst, and then proceed to Wedgehurst for a pilgrimage to this holy site.
Although Luo Mu had no interest in Wedgehurst or Dan Di, he was somewhat concerned about the Legendary Pokémon sleeping in the Slumbering Weald next to Wedgehurst.
But his main purpose for coming to the Galar region was ultimately the Wang Guan Snowfield, so he had not made any plans to visit the Slumbering Weald.
Since it was already dusk and the flying taxis to the Wang Guan Snowfield had ceased operations, after some thought, Luo Mu chose to rest for the night at an inn in Postwick.
But just as Luo Mu was on his way to the inn, a pair of brothers appearing by the roadside caught his attention.
