Chapter 221: Blazing Monkey's Peak Battle!

As Phantom followed Ash's words, to avoid damaging the environment,

Using psychic power to create a rectangular psychic prison about 500 meters long, 200 meters wide, and 300 meters high, trapping Deoxys and the Blazing Monkey inside,

The battle was about to erupt.

"Taunt!"

Ash gave the order first,

"Why this move?" Everyone looked puzzled,

However, as talented trainers, Tierno and Clemont quickly understood.

The Psychic-type Pokemon's hardest-to-deal-with aspect is psychic-power flight defense and instant teleportation.

Combining the two allows Psychic-type Pokemon to power up more safely than Flying-type Pokemon.

Although Taunt cannot completely stop Psychic-type Pokemon from using psychic power to fly,

it can directly nullify instant teleportation and power-up.

This is equivalent to breaking the Psychic-type Pokemon's arms.

This choice, though unexpected, is absolutely the most exquisite.

This method is not only applicable to Deoxys,

but also applicable to dealing with all troublesome Psychic-type Pokemon.

Tierno showed an expression of having understood.

Meanwhile,

As soon as Ash finished speaking, the Blazing Monkey immediately twisted its body, without the slightest hesitation, turning to face Deoxys with its monkey butt and tail, twisting provocatively.

Deoxys's face turned black.

Its noodle-like arms clenched into fists.

This move does little damage, but is extremely insulting!

As a Psychic-type specialist trainer, Nana was not surprised by Ash's solution.

Except for counter-types or Dark-type Pokemon completely immune to psychic abilities, Taunt is indeed the best means to restrict Psychic-type Pokemon from cheating with power-ups.

However,

But your opponent right now is Deoxys, and it's a Deoxys boosted by her psychic power.

Even if you wear a spirit sash and can withstand one hit,

but I only need a second strike to be enough!

"Use that psychic move you used against Serperior!"

Nana doesn't know Deoxys's full details, so she also doesn't know the name of its exclusive move.

However, as a psychic user,

Nana still noticed the existence of the exclusive move Psychic Thrust.

Deoxys, which had long wanted to defeat the Blazing Monkey to prove its strength, naturally wanted to eliminate the Blazing Monkey as soon as possible.

Without hesitation, it gathered attack, a thick psychic flow like lake water enveloping Deoxys's body.

The next moment!

Blue light appeared on Deoxys's body, its Special Attack drastically reduced.

At the same time, the psychic energy mass condensed from Psychic Thrust shot forward like a shell from a barrel at full speed, almost instantly hitting the Blazing Monkey.

The whole process, even including the watching Phantom, nobody expected that Ash didn't let the Blazing Monkey dodge or even intend to defend.

Boom!

Like a nuclear bomb exploding, it raised a blinding light; shockwaves swept in all directions, continuously bombarding the psychic barrier.

If not for the entire meadow already being covered by Phantom's psychic power,

just this strike would inevitably destroy the grassland within several kilometers.

At the explosion's core,

Due to the huge level gap, the violent psychic shock directly sent the Blazing Monkey flying with barely any HP left.

However…

At this moment, the Blazing Monkey's spirit not only didn't diminished but increased!

The final condition of Ultimate Blaze 3 is triggered,

When HP falls below 3%, all stats and Fire-type move power increase threefold!

【Base Stats】: Total 1602, HP 228, Attack 312, Defense 213, Special Attack 312, Special Defense 213, Speed 324,

Ash can clearly see that:

In reality, Pokemon's base stats do not have a single-item limit of 255.

At the scene,

Intense flames blazed on the Blazing Monkey's body, making it look like a small sun.

Deoxys, and even Phantom sustaining the psychic prison, all narrowed their eyes.

However,

Phantom was more astonished at seeing through everything.

It glanced at Ash in surprise, not understanding why Ash's Pokemon kept getting more amazing.

Deoxys, meanwhile, was surprised and disdainful.

Blaze?

Although it looks more intimidating than ordinary Fire-type Pokemon, relying solely on Blaze to make up for the huge level gap is still wishful thinking.

"Psychic Thrust!"

Protect! Blast Burn!

Blast Burn, a Fire‑type special attack in the game, Power 150, costs the user being immobilized next turn; it makes a perfect finishing move.

A white light shield materializes, blocking Psycho Boost and protecting Infernape,

instantly clearing everyone's doubt about why Ash hadn't used Protect earlier,

its imposing aura can surely block enemy attacks and also trigger Mighty Fire,

indeed, Protect isn't needed,

saving the non‑stackable Protect for this moment is the most fitting timing,

as the thick Psycho Boost collides with the Protect light shield,

Deoxys also shifts form in the meantime, assuming a defensive stance,

its body widens and thickens, dual defenses soaring to 160!

this is the most bizarre aspect of Deoxys compared to other Pokemon,

although provoked it cannot use defensive moves, Deoxys can change stance to achieve an effect similar to having used a defensive technique.

but as the Protect light shield in front of Infernape is shattered by Psycho Boost,

the scorching heat instantly spreads!

Ultimate Blaze boosts not only Infernape's base stats but also amplifies its Fire‑type moves by a full threefold!!!

accompanied by streams of flame like volcanic magma, rising in waves and striking Deoxys,

in its defensive stance, Deoxys feels a piercing pain, its body seeming to melt under the raging fire,

Deoxys watches in disbelief the Infernape below, its eyes blood‑red amid the flames,

this must be an attack launched by an opponent of lower level whose type is countered by itself!

How could that be!?

but reality is that this is the fact,

in an instant, Deoxys's body becomes uncontrollable like a cannonball, shooting toward the dome above the Psychic Cage.

Boom!

the terrifying flames even shake the Dreamlike Psychic Cage, causing it to tremble slightly.

at the same time, the entire Psychic Cage instantly turns into a sea of fire, and Deoxys in its defensive stance is killed in a single blow, left on the brink of death.

when the flames subside,

Deoxys lies powerless on the ground, its body charred black, resembling a roasted squid.

as for Infernape,

because it hasn't undergone specialized training, this is one of the few battles where it used Blast Burn, causing Infernape to become stiff.

it still maintains the pose of unleashing Blast Burn, adding a few more airs of dominance and majesty.

Charizard and other Pokemon, especially Serperior, who have personally witnessed Deoxys's prowess, all show a look of respect toward Infernape.

…

meanwhile,

in some wetland, a Gooey and several water‑type Pokemon live carefree here.

under the night sky,

a Florges cradles a blue‑flowered Petilil, soaring through the air, leading an army of Bug‑type Pokemon toward the wetland.
