Except for the improvement of the trait,

During the battle, Ash did not forget to command Yveltal to use Claw Sharpen to boost its Attack and accuracy,

It wasn't that he didn't want to go for Special Attack.

Rather, the strengthening moves Yveltal can learn are truly pitifully few; Claw Sharpen is already the only strengthening move Ash's Yveltal has mastered.

If I'm not mistaken,

It might also be the only strengthening move Yveltal can learn in the games.

In reality, Ash doesn't know if he can let Yveltal learn other strengthening moves, but...

These are ultimately matters for later.

Accompanied by Primal Groudon spewing a cyan-blue light from its mouth, straight at Yveltal!

Ash immediately gave the order,

"Ambush!"

Whoosh!

Yveltal unfurled its dark crimson massive wings, and a rich dark aura swept across heaven and earth.

A sense of mortal danger instantly surged into Primal Groudon's heart.

The feeling of palpitation spread between heaven and earth; everyone clutched their chests, and the legendary beasts all turned their gazes.

The black aura symbolizing death enveloped Yveltal, just like a dark crimson apocalyptic sword plunging from the heavens straight to the earth's core,

The cyan-blue light was instantly split apart!

Yveltal's height of 5.8 meters appeared atop the head of the six- to seventy-meter-long Primal Reversion Groudon, as if a mayfly shaking a tree,

However...

The moment the attack landed on Primal Reversion Groudon's head, all established cognitions were destined to be overturned!

Boom!

The terrifying immense force exploded,

Instantly stirring up a towering tsunami, howling as it swept in all directions.

People only saw the towering waves and the rich dark aura sweeping apart, utterly unable to see what had actually happened.

In Aura perception,

Ash saw it crystal clear,

Primal Reversion Groudon was knocked out in one hit, exiting its Primal Reversion state,

Its height dropped sharply from over 30 meters to 18 meters, and its body length was more than halved.

What Ash didn't expect was,

Groudon maintained this form only briefly; after losing consciousness, its body rapidly shrank,

returning to its normal size of 4.5 meters tall and over ten meters long.

This build could no longer be called an overlord or boss Pokémon.

It more closely resembled the Extreme Gigantification unique to the Galar region.

The difference is that the Galar region's Extreme Gigantification requires field restrictions, and the bodily expansion far exceeds four times.

But no matter how you say it,

From the fact that Groudon exited its giant form upon losing consciousness, this is undoubtedly Extreme Gigantification.

Furthermore, linking Rayquaza's before-and-after size difference,

Ash suddenly realized that the ancient Hoenn Trio must have clashed with Eternatus,

Especially Rayquaza, as the sky guardian, almost certainly would have fought Eternatus descending from the cosmos,

And wherever Rayquaza is, it naturally follows that the non-flying one and Groudon must also be present.

After hundreds of millions of years, it's not strange that the Trio mastered Eternatus's Extreme Gigantification energy in this process.

Having figured out the origin of Groudon's Extreme Gigantification ability, the process and content seem complex, but for Ash it was merely a brief moment,

The doubts in his mind were resolved,

Ash threw the prepared purple-white Master Ball,

The Master Ball traced a beautiful arc, swallowing the fainted Groudon inside.
