Chapter 323: Eye of the Ghost Dragon

~7 min read 1,244 words

Darkrai, upon contacting Cresselia, immediately enveloped her entirely with black mist.

Huo La was in front, Hard Resistance against the suction; though each step was extremely arduous, he still managed to gradually pull Cresselia out of the danger zone.

"Five… four…" Deoxys's countdown still pulsed coldly in Huo La's heart.

Seeing that Darkrai had completely pulled Cresselia out of the suction range, Huo La gritted his teeth and began to retreat backward.

But as soon as he took a step— a resentful howl burst violently from deep within the Time and Space fissure!

Immediately after, an enormous eye, striped red and black, slowly opened on the opposite side of the fissure.

With that eye's appearance, the fissure's suction suddenly surged!

Huo La's foot lifted lightly, and his whole body was instantly pulled away from the ground by Sheer Force.

"Ghost Dragon… Kyurem!" Just from that single eye, Huo La already recognized its identity.

At the same time, Deoxys's voice showed genuine panic for the first time: "This suction… I can't suppress it any longer!"

Just as fear rose in Huo La's heart, that raging suction abruptly vanished.

He hadn't reacted yet when his right palm suddenly emitted an even stronger suction! Under that force's pull, the previously stable Time and Space fissure began to wildly shatter and expand.

The Kyurem that had only shown one eye now had half its head protruding.

"Bad, Huo La! It wants to come out!" Ming Yao shouted hoarsely.

"I… know…" Huo La's voice was fragmented.

The suction from his right hand pressed his whole body into a high‑pressure state, making even breathing excruciatingly painful.

He tried to close his palm, but not a single finger could move.

"System… think of a way!" Yet the system not only gave no response, but began absorbing Spacetime Energy at a frantic speed.

The Jindutia blinked past 100% and still didn't stop.

Two Energy Orbs slammed hard at the fissure, attempting to disrupt Kyurem—Darkrai's move—but they raised not a ripple and were completely devoured.

"Huo La!" Deoxys's voice rushed, "It wants to use your hand to break through the space and leave! Let me out, and I'll lead you all with my true form!"

Huo La gritted his teeth and persisted, his thoughts racing wildly.

The system can't be relied upon.

If we drag this out any longer, not even Kyurem will manifest; his own body will burst first.

Releasing Deoxys… would be no different than bargaining with a tiger for its skin.

"Don't worry, I won't touch you." Deoxys said urgently, "If you die here, I can't get out either. Our goals are aligned."

Huo La clenched his jaw.

Going all out!

"Ming Yao… in the bag behind me… there's a Pokeball… get it out for me, release the Pokémon inside."

Ming Yao didn't hesitate at all, immediately reached for the Master Ball and pressed the switch hard.

Purple light burst forth, and Deoxys's true form slowly materialized.

"This… this is…" Ming Yao was completely stunned.

Huo La looked at Deoxys, which had already shifted into 'Speed Form'; its gaze swept him coldly, then an arm rested on Huo La's shoulder.

Huo La's whole body relaxed, and the heavy pressure vanished by most.

Deoxys turned its head toward Darkrai and Cresselia, a cryptic ancient syllable resonated from its mouth, and the two Legendary Pokémon nodded simultaneously.

Cresselia flapped her wings, activated Psychic, steadily captured the AerzousiShiban from the Stone Platform, and dropped it beside Deoxys.

"Let that brat come closer." Deoxys said coldly.

Huo La immediately shouted to Ming Yao, "Ming Yao, come close to me!"

The next second—Deoxys erupted with violent energy.

Darkrai simultaneously blasted countless Energy Orbs at the Time and Space fissure, restraining Kyurem; Cresselia unleashed full Psychic, cooperating with Deoxys to trigger a large‑scale Instant Teleportation.

Their figures flashed and vanished completely from this space, leaving only Kyurem's enraged roar echoing endlessly within the Time and Space fissure.

When Huo La awoke again, he felt his whole body as if dismantled and reassembled, throbbing with unbearable soreness, not a single finger could move.

The sensation was far worse than when Spacetime Energy previously assaulted him; his organs felt repeatedly pierced by fine needles, a lingering ache, forcing his breathing to slow, and any exertion dragged pain through his entire body.

Now he could only lie rigidly on the bed, eyes fixed on the tent ceiling above, even turning his neck felt laborious, and the phantom of Kyurem's massive red‑black eyes lingered in his mind, leaving lingering dread.

"Hehe… your life is truly big; you can survive this." Deoxys's cold voice suddenly echoed in Huo La's Heart Lake, its tone laced with mockery yet hiding a barely perceptible relief.

Huo La struggled painfully, trying to twist his head to locate the voice; the soreness in his neck made him gasp, and before he could move a inch, Deoxys's voice sounded again, a hint of impatience: "Stop looking, I'm still inside your Pokeball, no time to wander out."

Huo La was momentarily stunned, his tone weak and slightly puzzled: "Why did you go in? Weren't you just shouting to get out earlier?"

Deoxys fell silent for a moment, then reluctantly said, "Our goals align; as long as you stay alive and can help me find AerzousiShiban, I'll be too lazy to move, avoiding trouble."

The words were half‑true, half‑false.

The reason Deoxys willingly returned to the Pokeball was that it too had sustained serious injuries.

Instead of wandering about, staying inside the Master Ball was better; at least this specially made Pokeball could slowly nurture its wounds, giving it a considerable advantage in recovery.

Huo La slowly steadied his breathing, enduring the body's pain, and asked, "What about Ming Yao and the others? Are they okay?"

"They're all fine; you're the most useless, wracked to death," Deoxys replied with continued sarcasm, yet honestly, "The Field Master Mu Chun of the Diamond Team, with his members, has already started mountain‑searching, vowing to locate that Time and Space fissure."

It paused, then added, "As for… Darkrai and Cresselia, those two left after we returned, staying no longer."

"Huh? They left?" Huo La's face showed surprise, his tone tinged with regret, "I still wanted to ask them why Cresselia appeared in that cave and was controlled by the Time and Space fissure."

"No need for you to ask, I've already asked Cresselia," Deoxys's voice softened slightly, slowly unveiling the mystery, "She came here because of that Stone Tablet on your table."

Huo La, following Deoxys's hint, strained to turn his eyes toward the nearby table.

Sure enough, on the crude wooden table lay a damaged Stone Tablet, its surface emitting a faint glow—it was the AerzousiShiban they had brought back from the cave's Stone Platform.

"This Stone Tablet is one of AerzousiShiban's, placed in that cave long ago, guarded by Cresselia."

Deoxys slowly spoke, "When you fell from the Time and Space fissure into Hisui, Cresselia sensed the anomaly and chose to rush back to the cave to investigate."

"It was just that she didn't expect, as she approached the Stone Platform, that the Time and Space fissure suddenly appeared out of nowhere, a powerful suction instantly trapped her; no matter how she struggled, she could not break free, only being confined there until we appeared."

"Huo La fell silent, his gaze fixed on the Stone Tablet on the table, thoughts swirling in his mind, and after a moment he fainted again."
