Chapter 412: Give It to Me

~6 min read 1,014 words

On the deck of the Brave Light Green, a young man in a simple white top with sleek white hair steps forward calmly, his aura steady, his eyes sharp as a hawk, staring fixedly at Spinel opposite, his vigilance unmistakable.

Spinel meets his gaze, a faint curve lifts the corner of his mouth, his tone flat as if reminiscing: "Fried, long time no see."

"Spinel, what do you want?" Fried's voice is icy, leaving no room for small talk; his brows knit, the pressure around him grows heavier—he knows Spinel well, this person is always purpose‑driven and would never appear here without reason.

"Don't be nervous." Spinel waves a hand lightly, his tone still indifferent, but his eyes sweep slowly over Liko, Luo Yi and MoLi behind Fried, lingering briefly on each face, finally fixing precisely on Luo Yi.

Feeling Spinel's ambiguous stare, Fried's heart tightens, he subconsciously furrows his brow, turns to look at Luo Yi beside him, his gaze mixed with doubt and caution.

Luo Yi, stared at by everyone, suddenly feels at a loss, instinctively tucks his neck in, forces a thin sneer onto his face, scratches his head and whispers softly: "Y‑you… why are you looking at me? I don't know him."

"Spinel, what exactly do you mean?" Fried speaks again, his tone colder, steps a half‑stride forward, calmly shielding Luo Yi behind him, assuming a defensive stance.

"I told you, I'm not here for you." Spinel lifts a hand, points at Luo Yi protected behind Fried, without hesitation, as if the target had already been confirmed, "I'm after him."

Luo Yi, seeing this, bites his teeth, peeks out from behind Fried, takes a small step forward, his face full of confusion and incomprehension: "I really don't know you! What on earth are you looking for me for?"

Spinel looks at him, the smile at his mouth deepens a few degrees, his tone carries a hint of playfulness yet each word is clear enough for everyone present to hear: "Luo Yi, you don't need to know me. You only need to know that I'm looking for you because of that Ancient Spirit Ball in your hand."

With those words, Luo Yi freezes on the spot, the confusion on his face completely replaced by shock; instinctively he lifts his hand and pats his pocket;

Fried, Liko and MoLi's hearts also skip a beat, their eyes full of disbelief, their expressions instantly turn solemn.

Fried whirls his head toward Luo Yi, his voice full of astonishment and urgency, demanding: "Luo Yi, you have an Ancient Spirit Ball?!"

Hearing that, Luo Yi sticks his hand into his shirt pocket, his fingertips search briefly, and pulls out a Pokeball engraved with intricate delicate patterns.

He gently runs his fingertips over the ball's engravings, lifts his gaze to Spinel, his tone a little probing: "Ancient Spirit Ball? Is this the one you mean?"

When his eyes land on the Pokeball in Luo Yi's hand, Spinel's previously gloomy eyes instantly brighten, a flash of unhidden eagerness and greed flickers in his pupils; he steps forward a stride, his tone forceful and direct: "Give it to me. Hand over the Pokeball and you can leave immediately; I won't stand in your way."

Before the words finish, Fried springs up, once again firmly blocking in front of Luo Yi, shielding him behind his body.

He shifts his gaze from the Ancient Spirit Ball in Luo Yi's hand to a cold stare at Spinel, his voice resolute, giving no ground: "Dream on! Pikachu, prepare for battle!"

"Pika‑pika!" At Fried's command, a Pikachu wearing a tiny captain's hat darts out from behind him, lands steadily in front of him, its body crackling with Electric Light, golden bolts coil around its limbs, a pair of glossy black eyes lock onto Spinel's party, assuming a defensive posture.

Spinel frowns, his tone tinged with impatience: "Fried, I advise you not to act. I only want that Pokeball; hand it over obediently and I won't trouble any of you."

Yindi steps forward slowly, a mischievous grin on his face, his gaze sweeps over Fried, his tone laced with teasing: "Fried, what's the point of this? Just stay on the side, okay? We're after Luo Yi, it has nothing to do with you."

Speaking, he turns his gaze toward the protected Luo Yi, his face still smiling, his tone gradually deepening: "The Ancient Spirit Ball is yours, you should decide. Hand it over and we avoid an unnecessary fight, everyone saves trouble; if you don't, we'll have to seize it by force."

Luo Yi's expression instantly turns uneasy; he clenches the Ancient Spirit Ball, his eyes pass over Fried's back, looking at the imposing Spinel and Yindi opposite, his lips move as if to speak, yet he remains silent.

At that moment, Liko steps forward, gently grabs Luo Yi's arm, her tone firm and strong, saying: "Luo Yi, we won't hand it over! This Pokeball must never fall into their hands!"

Spinel's gaze suddenly locks onto the forward Liko, his eyes narrow slightly, a cold flash passes his eyes, his tone carries a hint of appraisal: "That unyielding spirit is indeed a bit like your great‑great‑grandfather. Too bad, you're still not him, still far away."

As the words end, he stops the chatter, issues a deep command to Yindi: "Yindi, move!"

"Tsk, what a hassle." Yindi curls his lip, a look of impatience as he twists his neck, joints emit a faint "ka‑ka" sound, then he tosses a Pokeball, his tone casual yet firm: "KenTaiLuo, it's your turn!"

"Roar—"

The Pokeball bursts open a white flash, a jet‑black KenTaiLuo appears, specks of crimson dot the black hair on its neck, its body lithe, limbs muscular, a pair of sharp eyes stare dead at the opposite side, its aura radiates strength.

"Flame Ignition!"

Yindi snorts, immediately gives KenTaiLuo the order: "KenTaiLuo, use Elongated Horn!"

As soon as the words end, KenTaiLuo lowers its head sharply, the long horn atop glows faintly, its body suddenly accelerates, bearing a fierce wind, and charges straight toward Fried's captain Pikachu.
