Chapter 474: Obsession

~6 min read 1,155 words

"Chase after it?" Red asked with a puzzled face, "But where should we chase?"

"We chase the past that's in Liu Bo's obsession." Huo La let out a light sigh.

When the words fell, he raised his hand and tossed two Pokeballs.

Dialga and Palkia's massive Divine Beast silhouettes suddenly manifested, and a terrifying pressure instantly enveloped the chaotic battlefield, causing the air everywhere to solidify.

"It's actually the Time‑Space Dual Gods…"

Everyone present was stunned by the overwhelming aura; the noisy, chaotic battlefield fell silent in an instant, and no one dared to act rashly.

Huo La walked slowly out of the hiding grass, his gaze lightly sweeping over the Rocket Team and Kamen members present, ignoring the crowd's panic and shock, and directly asked Dialga and Palkia, "Can you pinpoint the time‑space they're heading to?"

Dialga and Palkia exchanged a glance, then let out two authoritative roars in response.

Huo La nodded in understanding and said gravely, "Open the time‑space portal; we'll chase them immediately."

As the Dual Gods exerted their power, a deep, twisted time‑space tunnel slowly tore into existence.

At that moment, Red rode Charizard in a dive and landed, saying, "I've already reported the situation here to the League."

Huo La gave a slight nod, saying nothing more.

The surrounding Rocket Team and Kamen members, hearing this, instantly felt uneasy, and the scene stirred up again.

Huo La didn't linger, leaping into the time‑space tunnel opened by the Dual Gods. Red immediately commanded Charizard to spread its wings and follow, diving into the tunnel right behind.

The remaining people on the battlefield glanced at each other and whispered, "What do we do now?"

"What else can we do? Retreat immediately! Didn't you hear that person just say they've already notified the League?" a core member of the Rocket Team, who had been following Bi Xia Si, said in a low, wary voice.

When the words fell, all Rocket Team members promptly withdrew from the battlefield. The Kamen members beside them, seeing this, also ceased staying and hurriedly withdrew.

Meanwhile, inside the endlessly shifting time‑space tunnel, Huo La and Red marched side by side.

Thanks to the Space Shelter that Palkia kept open throughout, the two were in the chaotic Spacetime Turbulence yet felt no effect, remaining perfectly stable.

"Huo La, are we really going to chase like this?" Red asked, unable to help but look at the twisted time‑space lights around them.

"Hmm." Huo La lightly nodded, affirming, "This tunnel is the Time‑Space Trajectory locked by Dialga and Palkia together; it's absolutely precise and can directly catch up with Liu Bo and Bi Xia Si."

Red fell silent for a moment, then voiced the doubt in his heart, "I don't know why, but I always feel Liu Bo's goal isn't to use Space‑Time Power or the Divine Beast's strength to dominate the world."

"He wields the power of Moltres and Lugia, with Kamen forces behind him; in terms of strength, he's already on par with any top faction, so there's no need for him to be fixated on this."

Huo La heard that, and memories of Liu Bo's past flashed through his mind; he slowly said, "From start to finish, he's simply unable to let go of his obsession."

"He grew up as a close friend alongside Professor Oak's generation; his original heart was never to dominate the world."

"On the contrary, the initial formation of the League succeeded thanks to a great deal of his support and impetus."

"Hey, if he chose to help the League, would the world return to its former order?" Red asked.

"The world would certainly revert to its former order, but if he could atone for his crimes, that would truly be a good choice."

Huo La focused on the phrase 'atone for his crimes'; for him, even if Liu Bo's aim isn't world conquest but his own obsession, crime is still crime, and that cannot be avoided.

But in the current blind situation, if Liu Bo could return to the League as Red suggested and help it, everything would indeed become much easier and simpler.

After all, Liu Bo's combat power is extremely strong.

"We've arrived."

Huo La spoke softly, and the two stepped forward, one after the other, out of the turbulent time‑space vortex.

Before them stretched an endless, vast Bingyuan, with a cool, chilly breeze.

At the clear waters on the edge of the Bingyuan, a group of Dragonites were leisurely playing, surfing the waves, the scene quiet and soothing.

Liu Bo sat quietly in his wheelchair, watching this warm scene, his once cold, indifferent gaze fully softened.

He lifted his hand, took out a Pokeball, and gently tossed it onto the water; his voice was so soft it seemed afraid to disturb the peace, "Go, join the group, go meet your parents."

A faint light fell, and a small, slender Dragonite slipped into the water. It turned its head gently toward Liu Bo in the wheelchair, full of reluctance.

Liu Bo slightly raised his hand, gently signaling it to come.

The little Dragonite understood, slowly swimming toward the group, emitting a soft chirp.

From afar, the Dragonite flock heard the sound and came over; moments later, two robust large Dragonites broke from the group and hurried toward the little Dragonite.

Seeing the reunited family of three, Liu Bo's lips trembled slightly, and he whispered two names softly, "La Pu Li Si… Lapras…"

A crystal‑clear tear glimmered, silently flickering at the corner of his eye.

"So this is your obsession."

A cold voice sounded from behind, breaking the silence. Huo La and Red stepped forward slowly.

Liu Bo did not turn around; his gaze stayed fixed on the three Dragonites in the water, cuddling and rubbing necks, his tone filled with endless melancholy and sighs, "This child lost its parents early, and its parents were my first and second Pokemon partners in life."

"For this single obsession, you're willing to kidnap innocent children worldwide?" Red's tone turned icy, a question without concealment.

Liu Bo still did not turn, his gaze still on the reunited Dragonite family, his tone calm and candid, showing no remorse, "I know what you're trying to say. According to the League's law, my crime is unforgivable, and I'm fully aware of that."

"But I never regret. The thing I've spent half my life on is now fully accomplished. From now on, whether you keep me in this time‑space or take me back to the League for judgment, I have no complaint."

When the words fell, he gently pressed a hidden mechanism on his wheelchair. The GS Ball embedded in the armrest sprang up instantly, landing steadily in his palm.

Then he lifted his hand and slowly tossed the GS Ball containing Celebi backward toward Huo La and Red.

Huo La caught the GS Ball, seeming a bit stunned; he hadn't expected Liu Bo to be so straightforward.
