Chapter 524: World Unification, Global Resource Integration and Allocation

~6 min read 1,072 words

Huo La's sincere and unique insight left Lozi stunned, his eyes filled with disbelief.

"Don't stare at me like that, Chairman Lozi," Huo La said calmly, "I'm different from those who only talk about lofty ideals and blindly protect Pokemon."

"I have always acknowledged that Pokemon are humanity's best companions. But the premise for this coexistence is that humanity can continue to survive properly."

"I can accept a world where humans and Pokemon coexist peacefully, and I can also accept a mutual annihilation ending in void. But I absolutely cannot accept— in a world where humans and Pokemon coexist, sacrificing humanity's future to fulfill Pokemon."

"Of course, this bottom line applies only to truly unavoidable desperate situations."

Huo La's gaze was steadfast, staring directly into Lozi's eyes without any evasion.

Lozi met his clear and resolute stare, remained silent for a moment, then let out a light laugh, breaking the stagnant atmosphere.

"Speak, what is the purpose of your special visit this time? If you intend to persuade me to abandon my research or to demand Aimeijiao, you need not even say it—I won't agree."

Huo La shook his head lightly and said bluntly, "I want the core technology of portable Dynamax from you."

Lozi was slightly taken aback, then let out a low laugh, with a hint of mockery and helplessness: "You really are unabashed. This is Macrocom Group's most advanced and precious core technology, and you ask for it outright— that's overly presumptuous."

Huo La touched his nose and, conceding, said, "Then, taking a step back, a batch of Dynamax energy canisters would also do."

"A batch? And you say it so lightly?" Lozi's face was speechless, his tone deepened, "Do you know how high the manufacturing cost of a single energy canister is, and how outrageous its market price is?"

"I don't know," Huo La replied calmly.

"You dare speak so casually without knowing?" Lozi's tone turned completely cold, his gaze scrutinizing, "We've only met twice. The first time we met, we were opponents."

"This time you are frank, willing to acknowledge my philosophy, yet based on a few empty words you want to exchange my group's core technology and precious resources. Don't you think that's overly presumptuous, your appetite too great?"

"Whether my appetite is big or not, set that aside, but I have a bargaining chip you will definitely be interested in," Huo La said, his expression unchanged, responding calmly.

Lozi raised an eyebrow, a hint of curiosity flashing in his eyes, "Oh? Tell me, what are the conditions?"

"I have a way to completely solve Galar's energy crisis a thousand years from now, without relying on Eternatus, and without betting the fate of the entire region."

Upon hearing this, Lozi froze instantly, his pupils suddenly contracting.

The anticipated elation never arrived; instead came extreme caution and doubt. He stared at Huo La, and in a deep voice asked, "Is what you say true?"

Huo La nodded heavily, "Absolutely certain."

"Not a joke?"

"Never a joke."

Two consecutive firm answers made Lozi completely curb his contempt, his expression becoming exceedingly solemn: "What solution do you have?"

"World unification, global resource integration and allocation."

Lozi's brows tightened sharply, his eyes full of sarcasm and disbelief, "Are you joking?"

"When the former League had full jurisdiction over the lands, it could not achieve global resource unification and eliminate regional barriers. Now, with turmoil and fragmented systems, you tell me such a pipe dream? It's sheer fantasy."

Huo La, however, shook his head slowly, his tone absolutely firm: "It didn't work before, but now the opportunity has just arisen."

"The former League only coordinated Pokemon-related affairs, rarely intervening in regional economies and resource control, so total integration was impossible. But now the situation has completely changed."

"Previously, the Rainbow Rocket Team swept across the lands, shattering the old world's order and established systems. Now the League has reclaimed lost territories, taking full authority over the entire region, wielding absolute dominance."

"Seizing this opportunity, achieving global unification and resource allocation is not impossible."

Lozi lowered his head in silence, rapidly simulating Huo La's words in his mind.

He had to admit, the plan was exceedingly ingenious.

World resources are inherently unevenly distributed; Galar's energy is scarce, while other regions are abundant. Previously, regional barriers and tangled interests prevented resource sharing.

But once all barriers are broken and world-wide allocation is achieved, Galar's energy crisis would be shared globally, no longer an unsolvable predicament.

Yet in an instant, he perceived the hidden cost, his tone turning icy: "So you want me to surrender Galar's autonomous governance?"

"If you truly trust me, this is the inevitable path," Huo La replied without retreat, calmly.

"With just a few words you expect me to hand over all of Galar? Do you think I'm a fool?" Lozi retorted coldly.

"Naturally I won't speak empty words," Huo La lifted his gaze, his tone firm, "I can take you to see the future with your own eyes, to verify everything I say."

Lozi's expression remained unchanged, still composed, but beside him Bilan suddenly panicked, hastily intervening: "Huo La, no! Traversing the future will drain a massive amount of your life force; the cost is too great!"

She and Paipa both knew what the dead Chi Ri had done, and understood the painful price Huo La must pay to traverse Time and Space; now they were frantic, fearing Huo La would overextend himself for the deal.

Huo La turned his head, gave Bilan and Paipa a glance, indicating they need not worry.

Lozi took in the scene, seeing Bilan's feigned urgency could not be hidden; he instantly gauged the situation and said, "Fine, then take me to the future to see with my own eyes."

Huo La nodded, "But there's something I need to tell you in advance."

"You speak."

"The future of our current timeline is not fixed; the scene you will see later is not a guaranteed outcome, merely one of many possibilities."

Lozi responded lightly, "I understand that principle."

"Then let's set off now," Huo La said as his words fell.

Lozi was slightly startled, "Don't we need to prepare in advance?"

"No need," Huo La raised his hand, took out a Pokeball, and pressed it lightly.

A twisted, faintly glowing Space-Time Gate materialized before the two of them.

Huo La lifted his foot and stepped into the gate first; Lozi thought briefly, then followed immediately.
