Chapter 55

Su Hao stood by and watched the two engage in commercial mutual flattery, not daring to make a sound.

Not long after, when Father Su sent the principal away, the father and son stayed in Father Su's office to talk.

"For more than a month, the traces of the evil organization—Nova—have frequently appeared in various places within the Shenzhou Alliance."

"The Nova organization commits all kinds of evil, and their crimes include, but are not limited to, forcibly seizing rare Pokémon, international smuggling, assassinating geniuses of various alliances, and terrorist attacks on secret realms, etc."

"In the past month, traces of the Nova organization have appeared in secret realms all over the world, including those under the jurisdiction of the Shenzhou Alliance."

"Some time ago, I was busy capturing Nova members, so I didn't contribute much to your growth." Father Su said with some apology.

"But even if I wasn't there, you grew up very excellently. In my eyes, you are much stronger than those geniuses who are cultivated with the power of an entire clan."

"After watching today's match, I am very gratified that you have cultivated Carbink and Torracat so excellently."

"Regarding your future path, your mother and I have discussed it, but you probably don't want to specialize in one type anymore, right?"

Facing Father Su's inquiry, Su Hao naturally nodded affirmatively. Compared to specializing in one type, he wanted to capture Pokémon of different species and different types more.

"Sure enough, then my path can only serve as a reference for you." Father Su handed the notebook containing all his insights to Su Hao.

After Su Hao solemnly accepted the notebook, Father Su continued: "I have already learned about your grades from the principal, and this battle was far from your full strength. I think letting you stay in high school is already a kind of restraint. I have a proposal."

"There are eighteen gyms in the Shenzhou Alliance, and as one of the gym leaders, I also have the qualification to recommend." Father Su changed the subject, preparing to explain something to Su Hao.

"The badges issued by the gym are divided into three grades. The first is the High-grade Badge. When the gym leader faces a challenger seeking a High-grade Badge, they will use Gym-level Pokémon as their main force. As long as you collect eight badges from different gyms, you can be promoted from Great Ball level to Master Ball level if you have enough points."

"The second grade is the Intermediate Badge. The gym leader will use Elite-level to Professional-level Pokémon. Most universities set collecting at least one Intermediate Badge as a graduation requirement."

"The third grade is the Primary Badge. The gym leader will use multiple Elite-level Pokémon, and there may even be Professional-level Pokémon. Those who can participate in this grade are the best of the younger generation, because you must have a recommendation from a qualified person to book a Primary Badge challenge, and what this badge can do is also very simple."

"That is, students who collect four Primary Badges can choose any university within the Shenzhou Alliance

to enroll in advance."

"If you are fast, you can finish collecting the badges and come back to participate in the National Youth Competition."

"What do you think of this proposal?" Father Su cast an inquiring look at Su Hao, who was listening.

Su Hao fell into thought.

Indeed, currently, he could only battle people weaker than himself in high school. If this continued, it would only delay his growth.

Soon, Su Hao made his decision and said to Father Su: "Compared to staying in place and wasting myself, I want to battle with the strong even more!"

【Ding! Task released!】

【Task: Collect Primary Badges from any four of the eighteen-type gyms!】

【Reward: "Aura (Advanced)! System Currency x (5)!"】

Su Hao had once asked the system under what conditions tasks were released.

At that time, the system's answer was: 【The task will only be released after the system detects that the host has a desire to achieve something.】

【All tasks released by the system follow the host's own will!】

His own will could already trigger the system's tasks, so Su Hao did not hesitate and directly accepted the task.

"Good! Since you have made your decision, you can set off once I finish the procedures here." Father Su said with a laugh.

"But you must know, if you encounter any difficulties outside, you must tell your father and mother. Parents will always be your backing," Father Su's expression became solemn, and he said very seriously.

"I will." Su Hao nodded.

Leaving Father Su's office, Su Hao went straight to his private training room.

"Come out, Carbink, Torracat." Arriving at the training room, Su Hao couldn't wait to release the two Pokémon.

Su Hao took the two Pokémon to the energy intensity tester in the training room.

The energy tester could accurately test the attack energy intensity of Pokémon.

For example, a normally cultivated late regular-level Pokémon would get a value of about 300 units when using a move to attack the tester. Generally speaking, having 100 units when using a move proves that the Pokémon is at the early regular-level strength.

The standard for an Elite-level Pokémon is a minimum of 1000 units, and the standard for a Professional-level is 20,000 units.

Su Hao wanted to use the tester to compare the values before and after eating the candy.

However, energy values could not be used to determine the strength of a Pokémon.

For example, a Pokémon with strong defense and excellent recovery means can tangle with a Pokémon of higher strength for a long time.

There are also some Pokémon that are good at various changing moves, and under the mutual reinforcement of various moves, they can also have the capital to win against the strong.

Energy values, in the final analysis, can only represent the output of that Pokémon.

Under the command of the trainer, tactical layout, and team cooperation, even if the overall strength is weaker than the opponent, miracles can be created.
