Chapter 614

Pewter Gym, it was just lunch time.

Flint, who had brought Su Hao home, was huddled together with his eight sons and daughters, shivering.

As footsteps approached, the nine of them shrank their heads even lower like quails, frantically trying to minimize their own presence.

"Just a simple meal, please excuse it~"

A beautiful woman with exquisite orange curly hair placed a plate of indescribable food on the table and looked at Su Hao with a smile.

The steaming food was a strange green color, constantly bubbling, and from time to time, weird objects that looked like mangled animal remains floated up with the bubbles.

Dark cuisine.

These four words involuntarily surfaced in Su Hao's mind.

Time back to a short while ago: Flint, who had brought Su Hao to his doorstep, suddenly remembered why he had run away from home before opening the door.

His wife, Lola.

She often had a three-minute attention span; one moment she wanted to learn ballroom dancing, the next she wanted to learn astronomy, then gardening...

And recently, she had become obsessed with cooking.

Usually, Flint or a few of the children cooked at home, and Lola had never cooked before...

His second son, Forrest, the current Gym Leader of Pewter Gym, had collapsed from poisoning after just one taste of Lola's cooking and was still in the hospital on an IV drip...

Just as Flint intended to ditch Su Hao and slip away, the closed doors of the Pewter Gym in front of his house opened, and Flint was caught red-handed by Lola, who happened to be looking for ingredients in the Gym.

Then the situation turned into what it was now: Lola had prepared a table of indescribable food.

In Flint's eyes, this table of food seemed even more poisonous than the one that had poisoned Forrest yesterday...

"Then, I will accept your hospitality."

Su Hao took the bowl and chopsticks Lola handed him with a calm expression, and under her incredibly expectant gaze, he finished his portion of the food with a normal look on his face.
