Chapter 617

After all, her transition from a Pokémon nurse to a battle-oriented inspector was because she had a combative heart!

She became a trainer, met a strong person, and the Pewter Gym hadn't made too many principled mistakes.

She didn't mind using this as a reason to ask Su Hao to battle her.

"Make a bet, how to bet?"

Su Hao's tone sank, and he didn't avoid Joy's direct gaze.

"A 2-on-2 Pokémon battle with me."

A 2-on-2 Pokémon battle."

"If you lose, the penalty decision for Pewter Gym remains unchanged."

"If you win, I can turn a blind eye and let the assessment be delayed for a while."

"How about it?"

Joy was very confident that Su Hao wouldn't refuse her challenge; after all, she was a good judge of character!

However, I refuse.

Su Hao just thought about it in his head and didn't dare to say it out loud.

Indeed, the bet Joy proposed was exactly what he wanted.

Su Hao wanted to try not to cause bad effects on this world; he felt he could try the positive aspects.

But the fact that Pewter Gym was being penalized was clearly a negative effect.

Then, there was only one answer!

Su Hao nodded slightly and confirmed: "I agree. Can you guarantee that you will do what you say?"

"I am an inspector; I will not lie."

"... Fine."

Su Hao didn't know if Joy had captured Latias at this point in time.

However, since the other party was a Senior Inspector of the Pokémon Inspection Bureau, even without the legendary Latias, her strength was probably quite extraordinary.

It's just that he didn't know if she was a Gym-level or a Heavenly King-level trainer...

Without Articuno by his side, Su Hao really didn't have much confidence.

A short while later, on both sides of the rock-filled battle field of Pewter Gym, Su Hao and Joy were ready.

"I'll count 3, 2, 1, and we'll release our Pokémon together, how about it?"

Joy put her hands on her hips, the corners of her mouth slightly raised.

Su Hao nodded, defaulting to her proposal.

"3, 2, 1!"

"Chansey, mission start!"

"I leave it to you, Milotic!"

The red light dissipated, and the charming Milotic and the harmless-looking Chansey appeared on the field.

"So dirty..." Su Hao curled his lips; he didn't expect Joy to play dirty too.

Pokémon: 【Chansey】

Type: 【Normal】

Gender: 【Female】

Ability: 【Serene Grace】 (Doubles the probability of additional effects when using moves)

Level: 【Professional Early-stage】

Item: 【Eviolite】 (If the Pokémon carrying this item can still evolve, its physical and special defense increase by 50%)

Moves: 【Minimize, Seismic Toss, Toxic, Protect, Sweet Kiss, Thunder Wave, Soft-Boiled, Farmer's Three Punches...】

It seems this Chansey follows a tanky style: first inflict abnormal status on the opponent, then use moves that counter the enemy's type to secure victory.

However, it was its bad luck today to encounter Su Hao's Milotic.

Su Hao seemed to remember something interesting, and the corners of his mouth curled up slightly.
