Chapter 46: Elite Four! Champion! Venerable!

After the Brave Owl finished healing, the four left the medical room.

"Let's go, I'll treat you to a big meal!"

"Brother Bai is awesome!"

In the end, Bai Jing led the three to a barbecue shop outside the school and booked a private room.

"Brother Bai, what about the big meal you promised? Just this?"

"Are you being too stingy?"

"What do you know? Barbecue is the true delicacy of the human world! Drinking beer, skewering grilled meat, and bragging—doesn't that sound great?"

Tie Xiong agreed, "I think this is just fine!"

Bai Jing praised, "Look how sensible Tiezi is; you should all learn from him."

Feng Feiyi and Li Shaobao rolled their eyes!

"Let all your Pokémon out!"

Besides Ninetales, Li Shaobao also had a Smoochum.

It also had Champion-level potential.

"Li Shao, are you planning to specialize in the Fire type?"

"Yes! My goal is to become a Gym Leader; as for becoming a Champion or an Elite Four member, I dare not dream of it!"

Feng Feiyi's Brave Owl needed rest, so he only released a Pidgeotto.

"Becoming a Gym Leader isn't easy either; my father is a Flying-type Gym Leader."

"No wonder all your Pokémon are Flying types! By the way, why don't you have any of the starter Pokémon?"

"Their potential was too poor, so I gave them away. My goal is to surpass my father and become an Elite Four member."

"Ambitious!"

No wonder this Pidgeotto also had Champion-level potential.

In this world, Gym Leaders are not as useless as in the anime, because to become a Gym Leader, one must at least possess three Pokémon with Elite Four-level strength.

Moreover, many Gym Leaders are also Elite Four candidates.

The Dragon Kingdom has eighteen Elite Four members, corresponding to eighteen types.

The spots are limited; to become an Elite Four member, one must defeat the current Elite Four member and seize the position through sheer strength.

The requirements for an Elite Four member are high; one must possess six Pokémon with Elite Four-level strength.

Those who fail in the challenge, or those who meet these requirements, are collectively called Elite Four candidates.

What if you can't fight for the Elite Four position? The state naturally won't let these powerful combatants go; it will recruit and absorb them one by one.

Most are invited to become Gym Leaders, while some enter other departments to work.

These people are also happy with this arrangement: first, the state provides resources to train their Pokémon; second, they can adjust their state and continue challenging for the Elite Four throne.

Therefore, Gym Leaders are not only powerful combatants but also guardians of a city.

Of course, when facing trainers who come to challenge, they naturally won't send out their main forces.

The Dragon Kingdom has nine Champions, with no type restrictions, but the requirement is at least three Champion-level and three Elite Four-level Pokémon.

Do you think the Champion is the peak? No, above the Champion exists the Venerable.

The requirements for a Venerable are even higher; one must possess at least three Semi-Divine-level and three Champion-level Pokémon.

Among the over a billion people in the Dragon Kingdom, there are only three Venerables; they are the peak existences like pillars of the nation, each with unparalleled power and authority!

Some small countries don't even have a Champion, let alone a Venerable.

The Dragon Kingdom has three Venerables, nine Champions, and eighteen Elite Four members; it is absolutely rare in the world, a true superpower!

Tie Xiong was in a rather awkward situation, possessing only a Bellsprout, and it only had Elite-level potential.

"I plan to specialize in the Grass type; it's easier to train!"

The three expressed understanding; Grass-type expenses are the lowest.

Bai Jing said, "Tiezi, if a trainer isn't strong enough, it's hard to earn money; in the early stages, you also need to be a Breeder."

"Brother Bai is amazing; I indeed have taken courses in Breeding as a minor."

"That's good!"

Things like care and grooming are nothing; a truly outstanding Breeder can breed excellent Pokémon offspring, who are fought over by various factions.

"You guys come out too!"

They had already seen the Primeape and the others; they were insanely powerful!

When Riolu appeared, the three were completely speechless!

"Brother Bai, are you really not the Young Master of some Champion or Venerable family? Pokémon like Riolu are hard even for an Elite Four member to obtain, right?"

"Luck, it's all luck; mainly, the Goddess of Luck looks favorably on me."

This explanation was powerful; we had nothing to say in response.

"From now on, the four of us will advance and retreat together; if one faces trouble, the other three will come to aid!"

"Well said!"

"That's how it should be!"

"Come, let's raise a glass to the friendship of Dormitory 520!"

"Cheers!"

"Let's raise a glass to becoming trainers!"

"Cheers!"

"Let's raise a glass to university life!"

"Cheers!"

"To the elves, cheers!"

"Cheers!"

"To beautiful girls, cheers!"

The four ate and chatted, the atmosphere very harmonious.

"By the way, Li Shao, as a local, you should know where to buy elf eggs, right?"

"You want to buy eggs, Brother Bai?"

"Yes!"

Feng Feiyi frowned: "No one sells the offspring of elite elves; the elf eggs on the market are generally of poor quality, unless you're incredibly lucky and stumble upon one by accident."

Li Shaobao nodded: "That's right. Buying elf eggs is like buying a lottery ticket—not worth it!"

"No problem. My luck has always been good. Maybe I'll get one in a million?"
