Chapter 565

This time, the vine whip entangled the Charizard's wings as well, causing the two Pokémon to tumble downward, clinging to each other like a pair of inseparable mandarin ducks.

"Can your vine whip ever truly restrain me?"

As soon as he finished speaking, flames erupted from Charizard's body, burning the vine whip apart once more.

Wei Yang sighed; if not for being so thoroughly suppressed, how could he have struggled so hard!

Free at last, Charizard was nearly upon the ground, but he calmly spread his wings and, just to be sure, kicked his mount, the Mount Goat, with extra force, sending it plunging into the pit.

The unfortunate Mount Goat crashed again, dazed and reeling!

"Big Word: Inferno!"

Now it's kicking someone while they're down!

The Big Word flame shot into the pit—BOOM—a thunderous explosion sent flames roaring skyward, and from within came the Mount Goat's shriek of agony!

"Still not down?"

"Charizard, another Hellfire!"

Wei Yang's face turned green—this was beyond cruel!

A torrent of flame erupted from the pit, surging skyward; the terrifying heat turned the sand and soil into molten lava, making Wei Yang's scalp prickle with dread!

"Stop! I surrender!"

He had no choice but to surrender—his Mount Goat lay blackened and charred in the flowing lava, with the scent of roasting meat drifting into the air!

Wei Yang jumped in shock and hastily recalled his Mount Goat.

"Mount Goat is unable to continue—challenger Bai Jing wins!"

Wei Yang stared blankly at Bai Jing: Are you here to roast a whole lamb?

"Sorry, I went a bit too hard!"

"You may proceed to the next stage!"

With that, Wei Yang hurried away, eager to take his Mount Goat for treatment.

Though Pokémon have tremendous vitality, that fur is gone for good—next time, he'll be a bald goat!

Bai Jing shrugged and turned toward the staircase.

Ninth stage—I'm coming!

The true battle of the strong has only just begun!
