Chapter 733: The Free-for-All Zone of the Super High-Stakes Gamble

"Among the several competition zones, the free-for-all is the most special—even if you're the top-ranked superstar, you can't choose your own opponent!"

"Is it because it's a multi-person free-for-all?"

"Right. There are too many uncontrollable factors in a free-for-all. It's not unheard of for a high-ranked contestant to be eliminated early on, while a lucky newcomer takes the win."

Bai Jing didn't understand. "Then how are the rankings determined?"

"Accumulated match results, evaluated from overall strength!"

"I see!"

"There's one more thing—the free-for-all zone is also a shortcut to getting rich quick."

"Zero-four-zero" "How so?"

Lin Xiaoshuang explained: "Besides the betting outside the arena, the free-for-all zone also has high-stakes gambling inside. Want to join the match? Sure—pay the entry fee. Every contestant has to chip in, and whoever's left standing at the end takes it all!"

Bai Jing was astonished. "There's actually a rule like that! How much is the entry fee?"

"Four tiers: a million-level small bet, a ten-million-level big bet, a hundred-million-plus high-stakes bet, and a no-limit crazy bet. The last one is also called the bet that bankrupts you—it might not happen even once in a whole year!"

Bai Jing had to speak his mind. "A million is just a small bet—no wonder people can get rich fast here. This is even crazier than a casino!"

"Totally normal. For a professional Trainer, pulling out a few million is a piece of cake!"

"What about the betting? Does the arena set it up?"

"The arena arranges it, but contestants can also apply to start a betting match."

"That's pretty user-friendly!"

"So the free-for-all zone never lacks for matches—it's lively every day!"

"Makes sense. People never lack the wishful-thinking mindset—that's why casinos can never be wiped out no matter how often they're banned!"

"Oh, right—the arena takes a 10% cut."

"Heh!"

Bai Jing sneered. "No wonder they let contestants start their own bets—the arena is the real winner!"

Because no matter who wins or loses, the arena profits!

"Totally normal. Surgery fees, venue fees, match arrangements—the arena has to handle all of that. Shouldn't they charge for it?"

Bai Jing of course understood this was a business model—and there were also audience tickets, snacks, drinks, and so on.

Thinking about it, the amount of money this arena could earn in a single day was already beyond counting, and every city across the country had an arena…

Tsk tsk tsk… A day alone is an astronomical figure. A year? Ten years?

Oh my—behind such enormous profits, how tangled and complex must the connections be? Probably every major family in the country is involved.

Hmm… I'll ask the Chaoyue girls about it later!

Lin Xiaoshuang, familiar with the routine, led Bai Jing to the registration desk of the free-for-all zone.
