Chapter 73

Jieyin shook his head and sighed:

"It's difficult. The reason Yuanshi and Tongtian could establish a sect and become Saints, besides their transcendent aptitude, is because they have the great merit of Pangu opening the heavens within them."

"Even if you and I learn from them and establish a sect, the merit that descends will presumably be far from enough to support us in becoming Saints."

Zhunti heard this and couldn't help but show a dejected expression.

Think about how the two of them, through the ages, have painstakingly calculated and planned in many ways; sometimes, in order to compete for some opportunities and treasures, they have even thrown away their dignity.

For what?

Wasn't it to prove the Dao and become a Saint one day, and change the barren situation of the West?

But now, seeing everything fall through, he couldn't help but feel a great sense of disappointment.

Jieyin looked at the dejected Zhunti and felt some pity.

After considering for a long time, his expression suddenly became fierce, his gaze extremely resolute.

"Since we don't have the blessing of the Heaven-Opening merit, then we will make great vows and borrow merit from the Heavenly Dao; we can still become Saints."

Hearing this, Zhunti's heart trembled violently.

Borrowing merit from the Heavenly Dao is equivalent to owing a causal connection to the Heavenly Dao.

Owing a causal connection to ordinary people requires a great price to repay, let alone the Heavenly Dao?

And if they want to become Saints, the merit consumed will inevitably be extremely huge.

Therefore, this causal connection is also huge.

Once the great vows made cannot be fulfilled.

They will never be able to escape the Heavenly Dao, and their cultivation will not be able to advance an inch.

The price is extremely huge.

However, right now, in order to become a Saint, this seems to be the only way.

Recalling the matter of the Three Pure Ones attacking Mount Xumi not long ago, a sense of humiliation surged into his heart, and Zhunti instantly made up his mind. ===== CHAPTER 75 =====
