Chapter 1448: Owe a Karma to Oneself

"With this 100,000 Heavenly River Water Army, I do not believe!"

"That General Juan Lian can continue to hide."

Taishang Laojun did not speak to dampen Heavenly Emperor Haotian's confidence.

After all, looking at it now, the only good solution was to organize the 100,000 Heavenly River Water Army to enter the Flowing Sand River and conduct a dragnet search.

Of course, Taishang Laojun still had a trace of worry in his heart regarding this method.

And at this moment, at the Flowing Sand River,

shortly after the Kunlun Wang Mu had said to let Marshal Tianpeng lead the 100,000 Heavenly River Water Army,

Li Jing had already appeared above the Flowing Sand River with the 100,000 Heavenly River Water Army.

Seeing this, the Kunlun Wang Mu was initially happy.

But immediately, her mood plummeted to the bottom.

This time, Heavenly Emperor Haotian sending the 100,000 Heavenly River Water Army was naturally to help Tang Seng find General Juan Lian.

This was a good thing for Tang Seng, but it was different for the Kunlun Wang Mu.

After all, she had been counting on finding General Juan Lian herself to make Heavenly Emperor Haotian owe her a karma.

And then, she would use this karma to investigate the changes in Heavenly Emperor Haotian.

But now, with the appearance of Li Jing and the 100,000 Heavenly River Water Army behind him,

the Kunlun Wang Mu knew that her plan had largely failed.

If General Juan Lian were found by the 100,000 Heavenly River Water Army led by Li Jing later,

then she, the Kunlun Wang Mu, would have "stolen a chicken only to lose the rice."

Not only did her attempt fail, but she also lost face because of this matter.

Logically speaking, letting the 100,000 Heavenly River Water Army appear was the Kunlun Wang Mu's plan.

Why was it that now, with their appearance, she felt no joy?

Instead, she felt the exact opposite?

The reason lay in the person leading the 100,000 Heavenly River Water Army.

If Marshal Tianpeng had led the team, then the credit for finding General Juan Lian would have been counted toward her, the Kunlun Wang Mu.

After all, this matter was proposed by her, and she was the one who appointed Marshal Tianpeng to resolve the issue with General Juan Lian.

Therefore, if this matter succeeded, the bulk of the credit would naturally go to her.

However, the person leading the team now was Li Jing.

He was Heavenly Emperor Haotian's confidant; once General Juan Lian was found by the 100,000 Heavenly River Water Army,

it was likely that Heavenly Emperor Haotian would take the bulk of the credit.

And she, the Kunlun Wang Mu, would have only provided a good suggestion.

While there would be some credit, it would not achieve her goal.

Furthermore, earlier at the Flowing Sand River,

because General Juan Lian never appeared, the face she lost was far greater than this tiny bit of credit.

So, seeing Li Jing leading the team, the Kunlun Wang Mu felt extremely unhappy.

However, unhappy as she was,

she had no way to make Li Jing and the 100,000 Heavenly River Water Army go back.

After all, this matter was spoken by her.

Under these circumstances, she could not slap her own face.

Therefore, the only thing the Kunlun Wang Mu hoped for was that

the search by the 100,000 Heavenly River Water Army led by Li Jing would be unsuccessful.

On the other side, Tang Seng watched the appearance of Li Jing leading the 100,000 Heavenly River Water Army... ===== CHAPTER 1450 =====
