"Bodhisattva Manjusri, Bodhisattva Samantabhadra, Bodhisattva Lingji, come forward and speak."

Now, Tang Sanzang has already crossed the Liusha River and subdued General Juan Lian.

The next tribulation, Maitreya Buddha naturally should arrange it.

"Amitabha!"

The three Bodhisattvas whose names were called all stood out one after another.

"I do not know what Maitreya Buddha has to instruct?"

"Right now, Tang Sanzang has already crossed the Liusha River, and it is time to test their heart seeking the Buddha."

Maitreya Buddha's so-called heart seeking the Buddha is the Four Saints Testing the Zen Heart from the original "Journey to the West."

Originally, the original Four Saints Testing the Zen Heart did not have Bodhisattva Lingji, but another Venerable Kasyapa.

And that Venerable Kasyapa was the Wudang Holy Mother of the Jie Sect.

Given the current relationship between the Western Fomen and the Jie Sect, let alone whether they can invite Wudang Holy Mother,

even if Wudang Holy Mother were willing to come, they, the Western Fomen, would not be willing to let Wudang Holy Mother participate in it.

After all, after Daoist Duobao defected to the Western Fomen and returned to the Jie Sect,

the Western Fomen and the Jie Sect can now be said to be incompatible like fire and water.

Under these circumstances, letting the enemy participate in a plan they have planned for thousands of years,

As for why Bodhisattva Lingji was chosen as the last person,

the reason is naturally because, before at Huangfeng Ridge,

Bodhisattva Lingji not only did not gain any benefit at all,

but even lost his only spiritual treasure, the Wind-Fixing Bead.

Under these circumstances, although Maitreya Buddha did not say anything on the surface,

he was prepared to give Bodhisattva Lingji some benefits to make up for some of Bodhisattva Lingji's losses.

Otherwise, if Bodhisattva Lingji is not compensated, I am afraid that later, when Tang Sanzang encounters difficulties on his journey to the West,

there will be no one left to obey his, Maitreya Buddha's, orders and choose to take action.

Although Venerable Kasyapa can solve most of the troubles encountered by Tang Sanzang and Sun Wukong's group,

one cannot throw everything to Venerable Kasyapa.
