Chapter 1832: Guanyin Descends, Saving Tianpeng

~4 min read 656 words

"Ugh, it hurts—"

Marshal Tianpeng turned over again and groaned.

General Wujing squatted beside him, suddenly looked up at Sun Wukong, and said loudly, "Senior Brother, Second Senior Brother's soul is dissipating. I fear he won't last long at this rate."

Hearing this, Sun Wukong glared at Taishang Laojun. Although he didn't speak, the murderous intent in his eyes was fully displayed.

That's right, if Marshal Tianpeng died here, he wouldn't mind killing Taishang Laojun. He used to be the Great Sage Equal to Heaven who feared nothing, and he was the same now.

Laojun was so frightened by Sun Wukong's gaze that he involuntarily took two steps back.

Sweat seeped from his forehead as he racked his brains, thinking about how to resolve this.

Killing Jin Jiao wouldn't appease his anger, and if he fled, where could he go?

At this moment, the immortals above the Nine Heavens were also watching this scene, their expressions extremely solemn.

This matter was indeed Yin Jiao going too far. Wasn't it agreed that the Kalpa was just a formality and they wouldn't really eat Tang Seng?

Now Tang Seng was fine, but Marshal Tianpeng was on the verge of death.

I remember Rulai once said, "Everything in the world is cause and effect."

But why, by now, had things gone beyond everyone's expectations?

This journey west was Tang Seng's Kalpa, and it was also Rulai having him endure the dust of the world to verify his sincerity in becoming a Buddha.

Who should be blamed for all this? Should it be blamed on Tang Seng for wanting to nap when Rulai was preaching at Lingshan? Or should it be blamed on Yin Jiao, whose life was like an ant's, yet refused to submit to any authority?

Things had already reached this point. Was Rulai asleep? He hadn't appeared yet. Was there really going to be a second havoc in the Heavenly Palace?

Sun Wukong glanced at Fahai and sneered, "Fahai, you see it all. This is their true face, this is the so-called Heavenly Dao."

Fahai's expression was calm as he said, "Yes, I see it all."

The two of them ignored Taishang Laojun. Fahai was about to go up and grab Jin Jiao, preparing to go to the Heavenly Court to report the Heavenly Dao.

Just then, seven-colored rays of light suddenly drifted down from the sky.

Everyone looked up and saw that on top of a huge seven-colored lotus, those rays of light obscured the heavens and the earth.

Through those rays of light, everyone saw the Bodhisattva Guanyin appear in white robes.

"Fahai, Wukong, stop."

Bodhisattva Guanyin's voice drifted from the sky, extremely compassionate and gentle.

She stood on the lotus throne, her holy and beautiful face marked with a cinnabar dot between her brows, her left hand holding a jade vase with a few willow branches inserted.

"I have come specifically to heal Marshal Tianpeng's injuries." The Bodhisattva smiled slightly, then looked down and said, "The Journey to the West Kalpa has variables that even the Buddha did not foresee. If he does not endure the dust of the world, how can Jin Chanzi become a Buddha?"

"I can heal Marshal Tianpeng's injuries. Wukong, can you let go of the hostility in your heart?"

Sun Wukong looked up at Bodhisattva Guanyin, his eyes flickering. To be honest, among the Buddhas of the Western Heaven, Bodhisattva Guanyin was one of the few he recognized.

"If the Bodhisattva can truly heal my Second Senior Brother's injuries, I can spare the entire Heavenly Court."

Sun Wukong said loudly.

"You unruly monkey, you still speak so arrogantly."

Bodhisattva Guanyin smiled, then gently took a willow branch from the jade vase.

As her jade-like hands sprinkled, a shower of willow nectar turned into a light rain and fell on Marshal Tianpeng.

And Marshal Tianpeng's injuries began to recover rapidly in the blink of an eye. ===== CHAPTER 1834 =====
