Chapter 2198

"Hasn't the luggage always been your responsibility to carry? You have great strength. Besides, I feel like I'm about to get heatstroke; I can't carry it at all."

Marshal Tianpeng frowned, then began to pant heavily, and put on an appearance of being unable to hold on, saying.

General Juan Lian looked at Tianpeng's appearance; he hadn't been this weak just a moment ago, but as soon as the topic of carrying the luggage came up, he looked like he could faint on the ground at any moment.

He adjusted the luggage on his shoulders, shifted its position slightly, and then raised his eyelids to look at Sun Wukong.

"Hey, Old Sha, you don't have to be like this, do you? You are a cultivator, after all, and you have the cultivation base of a Taiyi True Immortal; you can't even carry a load of luggage?"

"When Master first took you in, it was already agreed that you would be mainly responsible for carrying the luggage, and as for demons and the like, Second Senior Brother and I would be responsible."

"I have no problem carrying the luggage at all, but if a demon suddenly appears, don't I have to take action immediately?"

Sun Wukong shrugged his shoulders and said with a calm expression.

"I really can't take it anymore. The weather is too hot, and I feel like there isn't a drop of moisture left in my body. Although we are all cultivators, being in the lower realm consumes our Primordial Spirit; how can we go without drinking water?"

"Just carry it for a while, Great Senior Brother. I'll rest for a bit, and then I'll continue carrying it."

General Juan Lian had a miserable look on his face and said.

"I won't carry it. I said, I feel that this place is very strange. In such a vast plain, there isn't a single household; there must be something strange about it."

"If a demon suddenly jumps out, who will protect Master?"

"You have the weakest ability. When fighting demons, you stand at the very back, and we are the ones charging into battle. Now that you have to carry a load of luggage, you can't even do that well; what can you do?"

Sun Wukong rolled his eyes at General Juan Lian. Originally, there was already a rift between him and Juan Lian, so he would absolutely not help him at this moment.

Come to think of it, Marshal Tianpeng stood on his side in everything, but that Juan Lian was simply stubborn; whatever Tang Sanzang said, he would echo, so now, he mostly had a sense of making things difficult.

"Why don't we just throw the luggage away, Junior Brother Sha? That way we can walk faster."

General Juan Lian curled his lips into a smile at this moment; he knew what Sun Wukong meant.

It should be said that with Sun Wukong's cultivation base of a Daluo Jinxian, carrying such luggage was no more than having an extra hair on his shoulder; it wouldn't have any impact at all, but he just wouldn't help General Juan Lian.

General Juan Lian pursed his lips, took a deep breath, and looked at Sun Wukong with resentful eyes, as if he still wanted to say something.

At this time, Tang Sanzang on the White Dragon Horse spoke leisurely, "Alright, stop arguing, you few."

"Besides clothing and bedding, the luggage also contains important scriptures; how can we throw it away? Wujing, hold on a little longer. We will walk for another half an hour, and if we still don't see any human dwellings, we will stop and rest first."

When Tang Sanzang spoke, it could be heard that his throat was also in a state of dryness. Wukong saw that his face was pale, and it was evident that he was also about to be unable to hold on.

The sun in the west was about to sink below the mountain peak. If they couldn't find human habitation before dark, they might have to sleep out in the open again tonight.

"Right now, if we spend one night out in the open, we will suffer a bit at most, but without dry rations and water, if Master Xuanzang has to spend another night out in the open, I'm afraid it will be dangerous."

Fahai scanned the crowd and said extremely calmly.
