Chapter 851

Soon, Sun Wukong also learned from Marshal Tianpeng and the Jade-Faced Third Prince Watching Ao Lie that they had each gone to different places.

And they had all found human gathering places.

First was Marshal Tianpeng; he had good luck and found the capital city of a certain country.

But the luck of the Jade-Faced Third Prince Watching Ao Lie was not as good; he only found an ordinary prefecture city. Naturally, its scale was much larger than the Guo Beixian that Sun Wukong found, but it did not reach the capital city that Marshal Tianpeng found.

"It seems this is our respective destiny. Since the Liaozhai World poses no threat to the three of us, how about we each sit in one place and protect the local human race?"

Sun Wukong proposed at this moment.

The Jade-Faced Third Prince Watching Ao Lie naturally had no objections.

Of course, another reason was that the number of exchange points was allocated entirely based on the amount of contribution value from this task.

And in this task of the Liaozhai World, the key point lay in protecting a human territory.

Naturally, in the eyes of Marshal Tianpeng and the Jade-Faced Third Prince Watching Ao Lie, protecting more humans would naturally yield more contribution value.

It could be said that thinking this way was not wrong; after all, the Liaozhai World was a protection task.

The prefecture city found by the Jade-Faced Third Prince Watching Ao Lie was much larger than Sun Wukong's Guo Beixian, so he was naturally unwilling to go to Sun Wukong's Guo Beixian.

After all, Guo Beixian was small, so there were fewer humans, and the contribution value obtained from protecting that territory would not be much.

On the other side, Marshal Tianpeng did not agree with Sun Wukong's proposal.

The reason was the same, except that Marshal Tianpeng hoped that Sun Wukong would go with him to the capital city of that country.

In this way, they could protect more humans and obtain more contribution value.

To this, Sun Wukong expressed his appreciation for Marshal Tianpeng's good intentions, but as for Guo Beixian, Sun Wukong was determined to go.

It was not that Sun Wukong saw the extraordinary nature of Guo Beixian, but because Sun Wukong already knew that Guo Beixian was currently being targeted by demons, monsters, and ghosts.

Therefore, Sun Wukong naturally could not sit idly by.

In the end, Marshal Tianpeng could not persuade Sun Wukong, so he had to give up.

Afterward, the three of them exchanged a few simple pleasantries and then separated.

Soon, Sun Wukong returned to Guo Beixian once again, but this time, Sun Wukong went straight to the Guo Beixian County Magistrate's office.

Currently, the Guo Beixian County Magistrate was posting notices to find capable people and strangers, so Sun Wukong prepared to use this opportunity to enter Guo Beixian with an identity that was capable but not overly powerful.

It was not that Sun Wukong was deliberately trying to be low-key, but because Sun Wukong was very clear about one thing.

The greed of the human race was terrifying; Sun Wukong had already felt it when he was apprenticing to learn his arts.

Once Sun Wukong's extraordinary strength was revealed, it would inevitably lead to humans from all sides coming to pay their respects to him.

Even if Sun Wukong refused to see guests, he feared that many humans would find ways to come and pay their respects.

They might even use all sorts of methods just to see Sun Wukong.

Although Sun Wukong would feel very unhappy about this, because of the Liaozhai World task, Sun Wukong could not take action against the human race.

That was why Sun Wukong would pretend to be a capable person who was skilled but not powerful to enter Guo Beixian; in this way, he would not have such troubles.

On the contrary, because he was capable, once any strange things happened, the Guo Beixian County Magistrate would inevitably rely on Sun Wukong.

In this way, Sun Wukong would be able to complete the task of protecting a human territory, and at the same time, in his spare time, Sun Wukong could also investigate matters related to the special task. ===== CHAPTER 853 =====
