Chapter 939: Come and Play a Game of Chess with Me

After all, no matter what secrets Wei Zheng had, he was currently his minister, and he would not dare to disobey his orders.

Therefore, stalling Wei Zheng was a piece of cake for the Tang Huang Li Shimin.

Having received the Tang Huang Li Shimin's promise, the Jinghe Long Wang showed joy.

After all, before this, the Jinghe Long Wang's heart had been hanging; without his life guaranteed, how could he show joy?

Of course, after receiving the Tang Huang Li Shimin's promise, the Jinghe Long Wang also said: "Tang Huang, if I can escape this death tribulation, I will not only help you escape this conspiracy, but I will also offer treasures to thank you for your kindness!"

After saying this, the Tang Huang Li Shimin watched the Jinghe Long Wang's figure slowly dissipate, and then his own consciousness began to wake up.

Before long, the Tang Huang Li Shimin sat up from the bed. "Alas, if the Human Emperor could not cultivate, how would I be manipulated by them?"

At this moment, the Tang Huang Li Shimin longed for power.

Unfortunately, the fact that the Human Emperor could not cultivate was not something the Tang Huang Li Shimin could break.

Time came to the next morning, around four or five o'clock.

Outside the Xuanwu Gate, a large number of officials had gathered, preparing for the morning court session.

Among them, many were chatting with friends and superiors.

However, today, the Tang Huang Li Shimin clearly had no heart for the morning court, so he directly told the eunuch to announce that he was unwell and could not attend, telling all officials to withdraw.

But at the last moment, the eunuch kept Wei Zheng, the Chancellor of the Great Tang, behind.

"Chancellor, His Majesty requests your presence!"

"Oh? I wonder what for?"

"I do not know; you will know when you go, Chancellor."

Subsequently, the eunuch led Wei Zheng to a side hall where the Tang Huang Li Shimin was.

As soon as the Tang Huang Li Shimin saw Wei Zheng arrive, he greeted him with a smile.

"Baice, I am idle today and wish to play a game of chess with you. Would you be willing?"

"Your Majesty, this act of yours is that of a foolish ruler. Ignoring the court's deliberations and using the excuse of being unwell to satisfy your own whims is not the behavior of a sage ruler."

Seeing this, Wei Zheng did not hold back at all and scolded him directly.

And the historian standing behind the screen began to record Wei Zheng's words and actions. ===== CHAPTER 941 =====
