Chapter 1115

~1 min read 171 words

One is imprinted upon the Dao, the other upon the Heavenly Dao.

The true spirit of a Sage is protected by the Heavenly Dao; after death, it still receives the Heavenly Dao's favor.

This means that whenever a Sage dies, they will inevitably revive—unless abandoned by the Heavenly Dao, in which case they will always be resurrected with the Heavenly Dao's aid.

Of course, each resurrection requires the expenditure of merit.

Sages can overdraw merit, and the amount they can overdraw is immense.

The Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian are different—they have left only a faint imprint upon the Dao.

This faint imprint receives no protection and no forceful favor.

This means that for a Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian to revive, they can rely only on their own true spirit imprint, slowly absorbing energy.

At the rate at which the true spirit imprint absorbs energy, a Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian is effectively incapable of ever reviving.

Yet, within the vast expanse of chaotic emptiness, there are still many methods to accelerate revival.
