Chapter 1261
Only when ascending to the highest level is transcendence possible.
Before becoming the highest, no one can transcend the River of Fate.
The River of Time is different; any living being has a chance to transcend the River of Time.
Ascending to the highest level and then transcending the River of Time at once, versus transcending the River of Time before reaching the highest level.
The difficulty of breaking through to the highest level is undoubtedly different.
The difficulty of the latter is far lower than that of the former.
Having transcended the River of Time once—even a tributary—weakens the river's hold, and the backlash upon transcending it again is also weaker.
For most living beings, continuously transcending the River of Time from weakness is a shortcut to ascending to the highest level.
In a certain sense, before reaching the highest level, the River of Time is fair to all living beings in the Heavens and Myriad Worlds.
Being born weak, one's foundation is indeed far inferior to that of prodigies born from the highest legacies.
But those prodigies born from the highest legacies are stamped at birth into a stronger branch of the River of Time.
