Chapter 1275
Every advantage has its drawback.
After breaking through to Hunyuan Daluo Jin Xian, integrating other Great Dao paths, though time-consuming, is relatively safe and rarely leads to mishaps.
During the breakthrough to Hunyuan Daluo Jin Xian, simultaneously drawing upon multiple Great Dao paths to refine the Primordial Spirit or physical body allows one to accomplish all refinement in a single step.
This is its advantage.
Many geniuses choose this path precisely because of this advantage.
For geniuses, time is extremely precious.
Most geniuses are unwilling to waste time on slow, painstaking methods.
The drawback of this method lies in its difficulty.
Great Dao paths inherently repel one another.
Simultaneously drawing upon multiple Great Dao paths to refine the Primordial Spirit or physical body requires balancing their mutual repulsion.
If balance is not achieved, the Great Dao paths introduced into the body may lose control entirely.
This greatly increases the likelihood of outright breakthrough failure.
Moreover, breaking through to Hunyuan Daluo Jin Xian is never smooth sailing.
Unlike achieving Sainthood.
Sainthood represents the Three Great Dao paths of Heaven, Earth, and Humanity.
When one achieves Sainthood, the Hunyuan World does not obstruct—it celebrates.
Breaking through to Hunyuan Daluo Jin Xian is different.
Once one becomes a Hunyuan Daluo Jin Xian, their connection to the Hunyuan World weakens.
Hunyuan Daluo Jin Xian, unlike Sages, do not need to rely on the Hunyuan World for existence.
This means Hunyuan Daluo Jin Xian can survive apart from the Hunyuan World—they can already survive in the Chaotic Void and, if they wish, may leave the Hunyuan World at any time.
The growth of every Hunyuan Daluo Jin Xian depends on the support of the Hunyuan World and consumes vast resources.
If a Hunyuan Daluo Jin Xian immediately departs the Hunyuan World after breakthrough, it represents a significant loss to the Hunyuan World.
Yet the Hunyuan World is perfectly impartial and does not prevent Hunyuan Daluo Jin Xian from leaving.
To prevent too many Hunyuan Daluo Jin Xian from departing and causing the Hunyuan World to weaken,
the Hunyuan World typically imposes a trial upon those who achieve Hunyuan Daluo Jin Xian.
That is, breaking through to Hunyuan Daluo Jin Xian requires Tribulation Crossing.
Only by surviving the Tribulation can one possibly become a Hunyuan Daluo Jin Xian.
Failure to survive the Tribulation may result in severe depletion of primordial energy, or outright death.
This is why most geniuses avoid simultaneously drawing upon multiple Great Dao paths.
Drawing upon only one Great Dao path to refine the Primordial Spirit or physical body is not difficult.
In fact, after drawing upon the Dao, one need do nothing but wait as the Dao refines the Primordial Spirit or body.
This leaves more time to prepare for the Tribulation.
It ensures a higher success rate for the breakthrough.
Simultaneously drawing upon multiple Great Dao paths to refine the Primordial Spirit or physical body demands intense mental focus to balance them.
If a Tribulation strikes at such a time, one cannot spare much mental energy to handle it.
Moreover, simultaneously drawing upon multiple Great Dao paths slows the refinement of the Primordial Spirit or body.
There is still a difference between refining with one Great Dao path versus multiple paths simultaneously.
To avoid Dao path conflicts during the Tribulation, one cannot exert full strength.
If one exerts full strength, it easily causes Dao path imbalance and leads to breakthrough failure.
These drawbacks are sufficient to cancel out the advantages.
Unless one is extremely confident, even a genius will not simultaneously draw upon multiple Great Dao paths when breaking through to Hunyuan Daluo Jin Xian.
Ordinary geniuses only simultaneously draw upon two or three Great Dao paths—Luo Fu directly drew upon three thousand Great Dao paths.
