Chapter 1278: Embodiment of the Great Dao! Proving the Hunyuan!
Dense, overlapping Dao patterns nearly filled Luo Fu's flesh and Primordial Spirit entirely.
Moreover, these Dao patterns did not overlap with one another; beneath each Dao pattern lay dozens, even hundreds, of other patterns stacked upon one another.
Whether his Primordial Spirit or his flesh, both had been transformed by the inscriptions of the Three Thousand Daos into a collective of Dao.
If one were to directly dissect Luo Fu's Primordial Spirit and flesh, what would be seen would no longer be Luo Fu's Primordial Spirit or flesh, but a fusion of Dao—the embryonic form of Heaven's Dao.
At this moment, Luo Fu's Primordial Spirit and flesh resembled a divine treasure exceedingly closely—the Heaven's Dao Jade Disc held in Ancestor Hongjun's hands.
The Heaven's Dao Jade Disc gathered the Three Thousand Daos; Luo Fu's Primordial Spirit and flesh likewise gathered the Three Thousand Daos.
One could say that, at this moment, Luo Fu had suddenly become the embodiment of the Three Thousand Daos.
As the Three Thousand Daos were inscribed upon him, Luo Fu's aura continuously surged; his former transcendent aura gradually faded, replaced by an invisible pressure towering above ordinary lifeforms.
Achieving Hunyuan is a transformation of life's very tier for any lifeform.
Before attaining Hunyuan, lifeforms could only exist within the Hunyuan realm; even if they ventured into the Chaotic Void, they could survive only briefly.
Even a Pre-Sage who mastered the Dao of Time could not resist the erosion of Chaotic Currents.
Without fully mastering Dao, one cannot possess even a trace of the indestructible, immortal aura of Dao itself.
After fully mastering Dao, and undergoing its refinement, a lifeform gains a trace of the indestructible, immortal aura unique to Dao.
This aura enables a lifeform to resist the erosion of Chaotic Currents.
Chaotic Currents erode all things; only that which possesses indestructible, immortal properties can withstand such erosion.
Dao is eternal—the most common eternal entity within the Chaotic Void.
If a lifeform masters Dao, it can thus acquire a trace of Dao's indestructible, immortal aura, gaining the ability to survive within the Chaotic Void.
Thus, once one attains Hunyuan, a lifeform's tier of existence undergoes a complete transformation.
Before attaining Hunyuan, lifeforms merely comprehend and utilize Dao.
After attaining Hunyuan, lifeforms truly begin to master Dao.
The key to breaking through to Hunyuan is to integrate Dao into one's body, refining the Primordial Spirit or flesh until they transform into Hunyuan Primordial Spirit or Hunyuan flesh, and transforming one's magic power into Hunyuan magic power, tainted by Dao.
Whether Hunyuan Primordial Spirit or Hunyuan flesh, or Hunyuan magic power, all are intimately tied to Dao.
Thus, from a certain perspective, Hunyuan Primordial Spirit or Hunyuan flesh may also be called Dao Primordial Spirit or Dao flesh, and Hunyuan magic power may be called Dao Power.
That is to say, once one attains Hunyuan Great Luo Jinxian, one's entire body is completely filled with Dao.
In this way, Hunyuan-tier lifeforms may also be called Dao lifeforms.
In fact, Dao lifeform is the most appropriate term for Hunyuan-tier lifeforms.
Yet above Dao lies the Dao-level.
Hence, Hunyuan-tier lifeforms are called Hunyuan lifeforms.
Regardless of the name, attaining Hunyuan is an unimaginable transformation for any lifeform.
Only by becoming Hunyuan can a lifeform truly possess the possibility of indestructible immortality.
Only Hunyuan Great Luo Jinxian qualifies as a complete Hunyuan lifeform.
Sages, though also belonging to the Hunyuan tier, cannot be considered complete Hunyuan lifeforms.
The reason is that Sages have not mastered complete Dao; although their Primordial Spirit and flesh have undergone transformation and reached the Hunyuan tier,
their Primordial Spirit and flesh were forcibly refined and elevated by Heaven's Dao, saturated with Heaven's Dao's aura.
Within the Hunyuan tier, Heaven's Dao is no weaker than Dao.
Thus, Primordial Spirit and flesh refined by Heaven's Dao are not inferior to those refined by Dao.
With Heaven's Dao's protection, Sages are even stronger in indestructible immortality than Hunyuan Great Luo Jinxian.
Yet, Sages can achieve indestructible immortality only through Heaven's Dao's protection.
Once deprived of Heaven's Dao's protection, Sages lose their indestructible immortality.
Hunyuan Great Luo Jinxian are different—Dao is everywhere.
As long as a Hunyuan Great Luo Jinxian resides within the Chaotic Void, they can constantly commune with Dao and possess indestructible immortality.
Compared to Sages, Hunyuan Great Luo Jinxian's indestructible immortality is somewhat inferior.
Although Hunyuan Great Luo Jinxian may have the possibility of resurrection after death, the likelihood is extremely low.
Unless a Heaven's Dao-level or Dao-level powerhouse intervenes, it is nearly impossible for a Hunyuan Great Luo Jinxian to resurrect after death.
In comparison, Sages' resurrection is far simpler.
This is the advantage of Sages.
Yet the advantage of Hunyuan Great Luo Jinxian lies in their indestructible immortality being eternal.
At least within the Chaotic Void, it is eternal.
Worlds have lifespans; not even Hunyuan realms, let alone realms stronger than Hunyuan, are exempt from eventual destruction.
The birth and death of worlds is one of Dao's operational laws.
Once a world is destroyed, Heaven's Dao ceases to exist.
Sages achieve indestructible immortality only through Heaven's Dao's protection.
The reason Sages are indestructible and immortal is because they have anchored their true spirits within Heaven's Dao.
Once Heaven's Dao ceases to exist, the true spirits anchored within it naturally vanish as well.
With no true spirit, they lose indestructible immortality—and Sages meet their end.
Thus, Sages' indestructible immortality is bound to the world.
Coexisting with Heaven and Earth in longevity—this is the limit of a Sage's indestructible immortality.
In contrast, Hunyuan Great Luo Jinxian have no such flaw.
Dao is eternal; as long as the Chaotic Void exists, Dao remains unchanging forever.
Hunyuan Great Luo Jinxian, connected to Dao, will never lose their indestructible immortality.
Of course, if one raises one's perspective a little higher.
Then, from a certain level, the Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian possesses the same flaw as the Saint.
From the viewpoint of the Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian, the Chaotic Void indeed has no day of destruction.
This is akin to how, in the eyes of mortal beings, the Hunyuan World also has no day of destruction.
Because mortal beings can never witness the destruction of the Hunyuan World.
