Chapter 1306: Lost Potential! The Qualitative Transformation of Power!

~6 min read 1,086 words

The Holy Ones are already at the Hunyuan layer; to advance further, they can only become Heaven Dao level.

The Heaven Dao is merely Heaven Dao level; unless a Holy One can replace the Heaven Dao, they can never advance further in realm.

Moreover, once one attains sainthood and becomes a Holy One, the strength of their Hunyuan body becomes fixed.

Unlike the Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian, who can still continue refining and enhancing themselves.

Even among Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian, their Hunyuan body's strength varies with their realm.

The Hunyuan body of a Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian at peak realm is certainly stronger than that of one at early stage.

Holy Ones are different—they have no such thing as early stage or peak; the moment they breakthrough, their realm is instantly fixed.

Of course, this fixed realm does not affect the combat power comparison between Holy Ones and Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian.

Unless one is a prodigy among Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian who is truly invincible, even capable of briefly resisting Heaven Dao level beings, any Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian who enters the Hunyuan world cannot possibly be a match for a Holy One.

Even a newly attained Holy One can suppress them.

The reason for this is that Holy Ones can harness the power of the Heaven Dao.

In magic power, they can suppress Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian.

Generally speaking, Holy Ones find it very hard to match Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian in their understanding of the Dao—even the weakest Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian, who has only comprehended one Dao, surpasses them.

Most beings who comprehend one Dao choose to become Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian rather than Holy Ones.

Any being wishes to advance further.

This is especially true for beings at the Hunyuan layer.

Whether Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian or Holy Ones, both possess extraordinarily long lifespans.

Such an immense span of time, if spent stagnant without further advancement, is undoubtedly excruciating for them.

Most Holy Ones became Holy Ones because they lacked the confidence to become Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian through their own efforts.

Beings who comprehend one Dao have a high probability of directly breakthrough into Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian; such beings would never willingly bind themselves as Holy Ones whose realm can never advance.

Of course, after becoming a Holy One, one can still continue to contemplate the Dao and fully comprehend one or even multiple Daos.

Thus, Holy Ones also have distinctions of strength and weakness.

But such Holy Ones are rare; most Holy Ones are weaker in realm than Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian.

Even if a Holy One comprehends a complete Dao, their realm still cannot match that of a Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian.

To breakthrough into Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian, one must communicate with the Dao, draw forth the Dao's power to refine one's body or Primordial Spirit, transforming them into the Hunyuan layer.

In addition, Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian imprint their true spirit onto the Dao.

This makes Hunyuan Great Luo Golden Immortals more attuned to the Dao, allowing them to unleash greater power of the Dao.

Even if a Holy One comprehends a complete Dao, they struggle to imprint their true spirit onto the Dao.

Because their true spirit is already imprinted upon the Heaven Dao.

Unless they retrieve their true spirit imprint from the Heaven Dao, they cannot re-imprint it onto the Dao.

But if they do so, they are no longer Holy Ones.

Therefore, even with identical Dao comprehension, Holy Ones still lack combat power compared to Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian.

With inferior Dao comprehension, inferior realm, Holy Ones still surpass Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian in combat power—all because of the power of the Heaven Dao.

The power of the Heaven Dao is stronger than the power of the Dao.

Even with inferior Dao comprehension and inferior realm, Holy Ones can still surpass Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian by relying on the stronger power of the Heaven Dao.

From this, it is clear that the quality of magic power is also extremely important for enhancing combat power.

However, such a qualitative transformation occurs only when breakthroughs happen at major realms.

Breakthroughs at minor realms do not cause such drastic changes in magic power.

Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian are generally divided into five minor realms.

Early stage, mid stage, late stage, peak, limit.

Each minor realm breakthrough, though the Dao's power does not undergo a fundamental transformation, becomes purer.

With the same quantity, purer magic power naturally exerts greater power.

The gap between Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian early stage and mid stage may be small, but the gap between early stage and limit stage is far from negligible.

Realm breakthroughs rely on breakthroughs in Dao comprehension, which draw forth more and purer Dao power to refine the Primordial Spirit or body, thereby making them stronger.

Similarly, the Dao power within a Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian is gradually enhanced through refining and fusing purer Dao power.

Moreover, the stronger one's Dao comprehension, the more thoroughly one can refine the Primordial Spirit or body.

Only then will the realm undergo a fundamental change.

Otherwise, one merely makes the Primordial Spirit or body stronger.

That is to say, other methods can also forcibly refine the Primordial Spirit or body.

But without Dao comprehension as guidance, such refinement is slow.

Moreover, such refinement has its limits.

A Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian at early stage might, through forced refinement, push their realm to mid stage despite insufficient Dao comprehension, but they cannot easily breakthrough to late stage.

At the Hunyuan layer, Dao comprehension is fundamental.

The importance of resources declines relatively.

Both Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian and Heaven Dao level beings possess nearly infinite lifespans.

As long as they are willing, they can fully compensate for lack of resources through time.

Of course, the resources referred to here are those used to refine the Primordial Spirit or body—not those aiding Dao comprehension.

Resources aiding Dao comprehension remain extremely important for Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian.

For ordinary Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian, resources for refining the Primordial Spirit or body are unimportant; for talented Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian, however, they are not.

What restricts ordinary Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian from rapid breakthroughs is not their resources, but their realm; what restricts talented Hunyuan Da Luo Jinxian from breakthroughs is precisely the opposite—not their realm, but their resources.

Refining the Primordial Spirit or the physical body requires time.

Even with strong Dao comprehension, time is still needed, bit by bit, to refine it.
