Chapter 192: He Is the Heavenly Dao

~5 min read 861 words

Correct.

It's not true that hearing more great Dao knowledge benefits a living being's growth.

Different great Dao knowledge can even conflict with each other.

Moreover, a living being's talent is limited; if they comprehend too much great Dao knowledge, it may hinder their growth.

In the past, many geniuses of the Primordial World proved this point.

Because they learned too many related lineage teachings, those geniuses were erased by time.

Originally, those geniuses were true geniuses, but the vast knowledge exhausted their talent, turning them into ordinary mortals.

That is to say, a living being's talent has its limits.

Even they, as Saints, cannot have infinite talent themselves.

Comprehension of various great Dao knowledge also varies by individual.

Therefore, it's not true that more great Dao knowledge helps one's growth more.

It was precisely this concern.

At first, Laozi did not immediately agree—his thoughts differed from Master Yuanshi's.

As for his own Dao lineage, Laozi had no such concerns.

After all, Luo Fu is a direct disciple of the Jie Sect, a true Xuan Sect disciple.

He and Saint Tongtian also had a good relationship; his own Dao required no closed-door speculation—only transmission to his disciples.

Remember, compared to them, their teacher, Ancestor Hongjun, once taught many Primordial World beings, boosting the overall strength of the Primordial World.

Back then, becoming a Da Luo or a Quasi-Saint was still very difficult.

In the past, Long Feng, Beginning Qilin, and others could qualify as Quasi-Saints partly due to their bloodline, and partly due to their own lineages.

But beyond that, without such lineage teachings, any Primordial World being had almost no chance to become a Quasi-Saint.

But Ancestor Hongjun's teachings spread this great Dao knowledge across the Primordial World.

This allowed later Primordial World beings, if they had sufficient talent and resources, to have a chance to attain the Quasi-Saint realm.

Some Quasi-Saints among the demonic race were much like this.

The guests in the Purple Cloud Palace were also like this.

So for Laozi, his true concern was Luo Fu's growth.

Dao lineage teachings are not better the more you have—too many can hinder a living being's growth.

Although the three Qing's Dao knowledge shares many similarities, because each founded their own sect, their Dao lineages became significantly different.

"Uncle," Luo Fu took a deep breath, stepped forward, and bowed, "I have understood. Whatever the consequences, I will bear them alone."

"Good…" Laozi gazed deeply at Luo Fu and nodded, "Luo Fu, since you've understood, your uncle agrees—I will teach you."

"Thank you, Uncle," Luo Fu said.

For others, various Dao lineages affect their own cultivation.

This applies to any direct disciple of the three sects.

Even past primordial divine beings would likely be affected to some degree.

After all, Luo Fu's current strength is only the Jin Xian layer—could his Primordial Spirit withstand exposure to too much Dao lineage so early?

But Laozi did not know that Luo Fu, due to his Maxed-Out Comprehension, had already reached an unimaginable level of understanding.

After all, even Saint Tongtian had acknowledged that he was subtly inferior to Luo Fu.

As Saints, they too have limits—their comprehension does not change dramatically with their cultivation level.

This seems tied to the fundamental essence of the soul.

Perhaps at some extreme level of power, comprehension might surge astonishingly—but not at the current Heavenly Dao Saint layer.

But Luo Fu is different.

Maxed-Out Comprehension is simply that powerful.

That incomprehensible comprehension—even the three Qing, originally gifted, after becoming Saints and growing further, now have less comprehension than Luo Fu does now.

But this is only the beginning for Luo Fu.

Remember, his Maxed-Out Comprehension will undergo massive leaps as his strength increases.

Who knows how terrifying his comprehension will be when he reaches the Quasi-Saint layer?

Even Luo Fu himself cannot imagine it.

Of course, for Luo Fu, becoming a Hun Yuan Da Luo is still a distant goal—his immediate goal is to break through to the Tai Yi Jin Xian.

Now that Saint Tongtian has granted him the chance to listen to the other two Qing, it is his opportunity.

One could say.

Among Dao lineages, even Nüwa and the Western Saints cannot compare to the three Qing.

Perhaps the other three Saints, having listened to Ancestor Hongjun, each gained unique insights into the Dao.

But these Dao insights, the three Qing do not know.

Yet the three Qing's identity differs from Nüwa and others—they are born from Pangu's Primordial Spirit.

In their primordial nature, they inherited a certain portion of Pangu's Dao, something even Hongjun, to some degree, could not rival.

But the Pangu lineage within the three Qing's minds is not complete—it is fragmented and imperfect.

This made it impossible for the three Qing to advance step by step using only this lineage.

Thus, the three Qing went to the Purple Cloud Palace to listen to Ancestor Hongjun's teachings.

Otherwise, given their pride, they likely would not have gone to hear Ancestor Hongjun's Dao.

Yet even with such uniqueness, their talent and comprehension ranked among the very best in the Primordial World.

But even so, they still fall short of Luo Fu.
